What are your top 5 most anticipated games for Amico? They don’t have to be part of the first wave  of games.

1. Horse Racing my dad and I played this game together a ton and I’m excited to have a chance to play it again, plus my grandma played a few races of Horse Racing on Intellivision with me and she is excited to try the new one.  I kind of hope that the horses are colored like the ones in The Emerald City in Oz because I think having red, purple, and pink horses available would be a lot of fun.

2. Night Stalker I’m a huge horror fan been watching scary movies since I was 5 and am excited for this game for that creepy atmosphere.

3. Snafoo my step brother and I played this game together a lot so I’m very excited to have a chance to play a new version.

4. Burgertime I was never great at this game but I’m looking forward to playing an updated version because it was so fun and the best version I ever got to play was the Intellivision one.

5. Earthworm Jim I’ve never gotten very far in the original games but love the humor of them.

Ugh this is so hard, I am going to list the games I am most curious about and want to play ASAP, instead of games I know more about and already know I am going to like (i.e. Evel Knievel, Moon Patrol, Night Stalker, etc). I am not even sure these are in the right order, but here goes:

1. Cloudy Mountain (The rare casual RPG, I want to see what they add and what they purposefully leave out - plus if ever in doubt of my most anticipated game, check the avatar ;))

2. Earthworm Jim (return of a classic franchise, with an original & all-star team & a new platform to show it off in - could be magic)

3. Flying Tigers (I know Tommy is going to pour a lot of love into this one, can't wait to see more)

4. B-17 Bomber (can see lots of coop multiplayer modes manning the different stations of the plane battling fuel, flak & fighters, think this could be a coop classic)

5. Utopia (perhaps the father of graphical god games (or at least darn close) and I am hoping this is the start of several casual strategy games for the Amico).

With the physical media, what if certain stores get different cover art for the games?  Such as a steel book edition at Best Buy.  Then the same game at Walmart would have another edition.  I don't know, it could happen that way.

Good god that is going to kill me if they do that!  The collector in me will want to get every version, 2 of each.  One to open and one to keep sealed, lol.

That doesn't mean they won't stop improving it.  Just like everything else they will continue to improve the firmware after release as well.

I’m counting on that.

The whole lag complaint over the last few months got me to thinking about other systems. My 360 had lag when I first got it. And a few controllers later, and a few 360's later.. I had the same thing happened again. Even after multiple firmware updates. and Hardware revisions. My Xbone had it. The fix?  Update the firmware.

After doing a VERY rudimentary search  I came across an article on "latency" with the Series X controller.  The fix? Firmware. close to 300 people said they were having the  same issue. Loads of other articles out there. But I thought this one was a good example. Straight from Microsoft.

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/xba_wowpc-xba_gowpc/series-xs-controller-has-severe-input-latency/82cecae3-3b2d-4028-a5a8-44697fbc6de3

There are similar articles for the PS5.. But my favorite one has a different kind of solution: OVERCLOCK your controller.

https://www.gamerevolution.com/news/677024-ps5-controller-overclocking-how-to-overclock-dualsense-gamepad

For the Switch.. There were also similar articles. But the big issue that actually got a fair amount of coverage was the Joycon Drift. No need to send links.

I would assume that they get lag issues every few 100K consoles out there as they cannot test in every type of environment and scenario.

What I'm getting at is, I expect to see a few complaints about lag when the Amico finally hits shelves. It's inevitable. Most likely the "fix" will not be to overclock. My guess is it will be to do a firmware update. I'm hoping this will be simple. Although an advanced menu with some cool options for us geeks would be fun.  Speaking of inevitable, the same people harping  on lag over the last few months will have the "See... I told you so" videos.  Just a guess on my part.
