Thanks for the refund.  I have no desire to monopolize or detail this thread so this will be the last I comment on it.  I will now not be deleting my comments as you had privately requested me to do after seeing your responses here.  If the mods decide to do so then that is their wish.  I submitted about 4 different requests for a refund , and I highly doubt I entered the info wrong all five times.  Also - the PayPal case i opened several days ago (with the proper email attached to the transaction ID) went completely ignored until I had to publicly post this issue; and apparently I was not in any exclusive company.  I wish you guys well and will buy an Amico after launch and I wish you all great success with this thing, but I’m not going to be thrown under the bus either and would appreciate if you also owned up to your own mistakes.   I would suggest perhaps making the refund request procedure more clear to others to prevent further misunderstandings.  Cheers!

Hi,

You know I NEVER told you privately to delete comments here!  Why would you say that??!?!?  I would appreciate an apology.  You know that isn't true.  You PM'd here yesterday and I simply replied...

"Hi.  Not sure why that is happening.

Please send an email to [email protected]

Thanks."

Also... just a quick question... True or False... you put the wrong e-mail address in?  Just a simple Yes or No.  We have the correspondence.

I wasn't throwing you under the bus in any way.  I was trying to get to the bottom of who and how you were contacting us so I could take care of the problem.  You never responded publicly.

Totally unfair of you to say that I privately requested you to delete your comments.  I NEVER did such a thing.

Wow.

ColecoVision has about 230 homebrews

Does that include those that have ported code from old commercial cartridges of other systems.

I am really looking forward to getting the Amico FE. I will probably order the VIP edition as well. Will it be another 100 dollar deposit for this next edition, if you decide to do another pre-order?

Hey Tommy,

I asked you in january about the power plugs coming with Founders Edition (to Europe). Did you asked your tech guys? Thanks.

Hey Willy,

Each FE unit is getting hand packed by Intellivision, since they all require signatures on the console and posters. They will make sure that the correct power plug type (or at least an adapter) is included, based on the shipping address.

Hi guys, I've been following this thread for some time now, and I've been passionate about discussions.  First of all, sorry but I don't speak English very well and I use Google translates, I'm Italian and a proud member of the founders.  I read about the VIP presale and I wouldn't feel belittled by this.  But I thought maybe Tommy could include them in the founders' edition a certificate of originality, a paper bearing the console number complete with Intellivision signature and stamp.  It would be fantastic and I believe that no founder would have to object to any VIP pre-order that you will do in the future.  Will a last order to Tommy, the founders' edition, be sent to Italy directly from America, or will it be sent to the European headquarters and subsequently sorted in Europe?  Thanks to all of you for this thread and thanks to Tommy and the guys from Intellivision for this beautiful vision.  Hello friends.

Wow.

It's been said before, but bears a repeat:

Tommy, THANK YOU for continuing to hang out here and chat even with folks baiting you or openly misrepresenting your words and actions.

The waiting till 10/10/2020 is excruciating, but it is sooooooo much better with you than without you.

Oh I feel you on this one!

It is going to be a long, long wait until October. Thankfully Tommy is bridging the gap with constant updates and information, still....

I'm going to quote this too. Like him or hate him, how many times have you seen leadership form a company spend this much time addressing their customer base like this. I respect that a great deal.

Yes!  For sure!

In fact I've been working on a brand new gameplay video that shows a TON of games!  A lot of stuff no one has seen before.  Instead of showing a one second clip of stuff... I'd be showing 5 - 7 seconds of a lot of games and levels!

The VIP Edition (if I even do it) would be the Vintage Woodgrain + a $25 plastic RFID gift card (FE is laser cut metal!) and a signed poster for $279.  So the "extras" are the gift card and signed poster.  MUCH less than the Founders Edition and less value (although still lots of VIP value).  We've literally received THOUSANDS of e-mails from people asking us to do another pre-order of sorts.  So I wanted to do something a little extra... but nowhere near as cool as the Founders Edition.  Just an idea to do something a little special for our fans/followers.

Looking forward to more videos!!! Any and all new info would be great!

I like the idea of the VIP edition. Please put me on the please do list.

Any chance of Venture coming to the Amico?

Hey Swami, where did you get the 230 number for the Colecovision homebrew? Wikipedia says 165 and Google didn't help me.

Cvaddict.com lists 208, which is about 70% of the total as the list is behind and missing some of the old ones from 1996-2006. It also has a few prototype repros listed. There are a couple other lists on Atariage that fill in the gaps but it’s hard to do a search for “homebrew list”. I doubt any Wikipedia list of homebrews is very complete.

I think we're also going to open pre-orders for VIP White and Black ones as well (but at a cheaper price than the VIP Woodgrain).

Lots of folks have been asking about the white & black ones for pre-order.

Please put me down as in favor of VIP pre-orders.  I like the idea of black and white available for VIP, in addition to woodgrain.  I love the original Intellivision woodgrain, but my wife wouldn't go for it...need a black one...lol...

The Vintage Woodgrain is going to be sold directly through our website

I was wondering the same thing. Since you have an office in Europe, does this mean that if we order the console from the website, it will ship from Europe?

I'm used to preorder stuff at Amazon so I don't pay shipping, but I'm interested in the woodgrain model (even though I really like the GTO red too).

That's the problem with exclusives to (US) retail chains; they're usually not available in Europe. :(

Hey, remember when everyone was worried that Trump's tariffs for China were going to make Amico's price closer to that of a AAA console?

And Tommy told everyone to chill da f* out

Yes.  We have multiple manufacturers but also (and more importantly) multiple "assemblers".  A lot of electronics are only made in China for example, you can't get them anywhere else.  So multiple factories may supply multiple parts that are then shipped to certain parts of the world to be assembled in the country with tariffs or a neighboring country in order to potentially avoid the tariff.  Very common practice for most electronic hardware devices of this nature.

Don't worry, you won't pay much for shipping, I'm sure people in Germany will have their own assembly plant, at least in the EU.
I am also happy because this manufacturing approach makes Amico less dependent on China, less to worry about the coronavirus outbreak.

Do the other system lists include oft ported games from the 70s to 90s with no original gameplay added?

Tommy Tallarico,

Is Tozai working on your Amico Lode Runner game?

If so, will it be similar to their Lode Runner Legacy game that was released last year on Steam and the consoles?

Thanks

If they do, they're not exactly homebrew.  I don't consider game hacks/modifications homebrew either.
