And once again , deflection.... Do you read or ever let a comment sink in before you reply.. You missed save2600 point completely.

Can't for a second believe that the updated classic sports games might be compelling (just as the original sports titles from the 80's continue to be) enough to play and play again?

No, I replied to the only relevant point. I do not think a non MLB license game on an Amico is gonna put butts in the seats. These games, like many have mentioned here and other places are very close to the heart and nostalgia centers of older gamers. My comment was talking about kids. Kids who have played way more advanced games on their mobile devices. Kids whose friends are talking about PS5/Xbox/Nintendo. Kids who play Roblox.

I think its extremely smart that the INTV tream appears to be designing a lot of these games around the phone.  So far every demo we've seen was controlled by a phone.

This gives INTV a great a Plan B if the Amico unfortunately fails to reach its audience. I know that is not the ideal scenario for INTV, but at least that option will be open for them, which is a good thing. At least this means the games themselves will still be available in some form, at least I would hope so.

A Plan B, really where did you come up with that idea.. I think they have a plan and a mission and mobile phones gaming is far from that mission or plan B.... lol And really where did you get that it appears that they are designing alot of these games around the phone... It not around the phone its around the The Intellivision Controller... Tommy only has been saying this over and over for the past year/so..

Thanks for answering. Due to your shortsightedness and obvious lack of awareness (historically especially) and "experience" in such matters, I couldn't possibly take any advice from you regarding stocks or lottery numbers. ;)

Is there a motherboard proto yet?  I'd love to see it.

@Jay: Knock it off, I've known Tommy for 25 years.

1. I don't know if its their Plan B, or if they even have one, but it could be a possible option.

2. I say designed around a phone because well thats what they have been showing off so far in terms of actual gameplay and such.  I'm only going by what they have currently showed via their videos. You even see they have the Disc Pad implemented on the phone.  Just saying the games currently shown off seem to play fine just using a phone.  We haven't seen a game that seems to require the Amico controller yet.

You know I have often wanted 'english' in games like Breakout - twisting the controller like it would help in older version. However now I am not sure if it is going to make the mechanics more satisfying or if the pure approach is better? That is one I really want to try out - what are your thoughts on the addition?

Heehee, I told my kids that if they tilted the paddles for Warlords that they could control what direction the ball would go when it hit. They've resorted to tilting themselves, because even though the ball bounces off the block randomly, they think the more they move, the more control they have. So hilarious to watch.

How do you know they won't have an MLB license.

My understanding is all the videos shown were from an Amico; unless you saw a video of the moon patrol phone demo.  Also keep in mind that games will make use of both the TV screen and the controller screen so that will be hard to translate to a single screen.

Are you kidding me with those responses...   They only have shown sec's or minutes of gameplay and you have not even touched or played an Amico game with both a controller or phone.. So to even suggest that is wrong. And once again, Tommy has stated countless/numerous times that these games are being designed around the intellivision controller. So to even suggest that we havent seen a game that seems to require the Amico controller yet is a complete false statement all around.   Same [email protected] from the same few, really you have been posting stuff like this from day one your not fooling anybody anymore.

Tommy admitted that every demo so far was controlled with a phone.  It could have been on the actual Amico, but at least in terms of controller use it was a phone.

I think games like Breakout and AstroSmash would work fine on a single screen.    You make a great point about dual screen heavy games, but I don't know if I've seen a game yet that couldn't be translated to single screen mobile use, but we got 8 months until launch and I'm sure he's got plenty more to show off until then.

With all due respect, they don't seem to be having any issues controlling those games using a phone with the demos we've seen.  Will it feel better using physical disc pad and button, oh I'm sure, I'm not denying this.  I'm just saying it still seems to be very playable even on a phone, again just going by what I'm seeing.  That's all we can go on right now is what they have currently shown us.

I don't see why you had to add that last sentence. I have shown no hostility and I believe I have been respectful to everyone in this thread.  I would hope you would do the same. Its okay that people have different opinions, I respect yours.

Sony extended their agreement with MLB last year. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-mlbpa-sony-extend-video-game-partnership

Both your kids and my kid is outside the market Tommy has said they are targeting, so what they are playing is irrelevant. Tommy had no idea that Roblox was using his sound for years, even when it became a meme, so I am dubious he is tapped into what kids want.

That press release says "additional console platforms beyond PlayStation platforms as early as 2021".

Yes, for the game MLB the Show which is developed by Sony. Unless you believe Sony will port their game to the Amico...

You are so Wrong on all accounts , That’s who they are going for. The non hardcore gamers. Which  my kids are.

Are you really following and reading What the Amico is all about there is only pages and pages explaining this.

With most of your comments I really doubt that you are.

Last time he said something it was Amico games all have exclusive features, because he mentioned Overcooked and another game I can't recall as possible titles.

I've actually been trying to get reaquainted with the INTV by playing the INTV core on MiSTer.    Played AstroSmash, BurgerTime, Night Stalker, Shark Shark.  What else should I play to get ready for Amico launch?
