Kinda funny huh!  :)

Just an idea for now... might be a little too morbid for family gaming... but we'll focus test it towards the end of the project.  :D

Nah! Go for Broke! Put Sonny Bono's name on the headstone. 😈

Yeah... their stuff on the XBOX was pretty great looking when it came out.  I believe that was around 12 years ago or something?

If you are remaking Warlords, please make some actual castles and not that cliche Marvel Netflix series fight scene rooftop with the vent fan thing they did. I beg you.

I think the tombstone is fine for something like that. Or maybe the player's skis sticking up out of the snow as an 'X' with their avatar's name on them or something. Stars and birds flying around them.

Issues with Apple (don't get me started)... Trying to get it ironed out today.  Been going back and forth with them all week.  So annoying.  Don't want to get into details right now... but we are on the case and doing everything in our power to get them to understand what it is and what "category" it fits into.  This is the issue sometimes when doing cool stuff that no one has done before.  :)

The good news is that because of the slight delay... I'm going to be releasing something else super cool that we weren't originally planning on showing!

News will be coming at the end of today or early tomorrow.  Exciting stuff that a lot of people here are going to love.

Is it time ?

And how will we see the news ? Here ? :)

if they keep giving you problems you may as well put the apk file on the Amico website and we can download it there

We thought about it... but then found out it's not an easy process.  Which goes against our entire creed of SIMPLE.

:)

I'm trying not to anger folks who have Apple's.  So trying to wait and release them together.  Don't want to keep doing multiple e-mail blasts, etc.

But if Apple doesn't come through by the end of the week... I'll release Google.

When is the end of the week ?   Saturday at 23:59 ?  🤔

Sorry, but I can't wait anymore. Neither my son. 😀 He is asking me 5 times a day if I have more news about the problem...  😕

Pretty disappointing that this is the caliber of developers that Amico is actively courting.

I can understand that you're upset and have no faith in them considering you didn't get what you paid for on Kickstarter.

Our experience has been very different and extremely positive with them and with us, they are a very hardworking and creative team that has so far been going the extra mile to ensure quality.  Members of their programming team even came over to the U.S. (they are UK based) a few days before E3 and camped out in our offices working all hours of the night to ensure the E3 build was running as nice as possible.

Again... I understand your dislike for them and your concern.  And to be clear... I'm not dismissing your anger or disappointment in any way.  I'm only communicating my personal interactions with them and they've been nothing but amazing with us and have so far been a joy to work with.

I keep checking the App Store for the Moon Patrol demo, but then I wondered, is there any chance the IntelliSound app will reappear? I loved fooling around with that app, and having the Intellivision keypad on my phone’s screen was cool. Any chance of that happening?

Not sure what that is/was?

More info please.

I'll look into it.

Yes, the game was released physically in Europe and the United States and they couldn't have even been bothered to ship one of those copies to backers.  Instead, two years after said retail release and seven years after the campaign ended after almost two full years of no communication, a random cardboard box showed up with cheap magnets and air fresheners with a photocopied letter saying that unfortunately that would be all they are delivering to backers.  No explanation, no apology, just here's what you get, too bad.  I mean, I would have understood if they had had the common courtesy of some other campaigns I had backed where the project creator apologized and provided an explanation for why they couldn't deliver, but this was literally the rudest and least appropriate thing I have ever received from a campaign, especially from a company that apparently still exists and is now planning to release games on the Amico.

That sucks.

I'll ask them about this.  I'm curious to know how/why that happened.  Will let you know what I find out.  Knowing how nice the guys are I'm sure the answer isn't going to be... "We did it on purpose to steal people's money".

I know you mentioned that you've back a ton of Kickstarters and this one was total crap and rude... but my experience has been a little different.  I have known many Kickstarter and IndieGoGo projects that have completely failed and pissed off many many people (insert funny Atari joke here!)  The harsh reality is that crowdfunding something is never a guarantee that you'll even get the product.  It's putting money into someone's dream in hopes that it will come out knowing you helped to be a part of it.  Very different than putting down money for a "pre-order".  Any crowdfunding campaign has risks.  Luckily the norm is that they mostly come through and deliver.  I've known a few friends who did Kickstarters and didn't realize they needed to pay tax on the full amount of the money raised (as opposed to profit).  Totally wiped them out and destroyed the project.  I also have another friend who 7 years later is still "recording" and "mixing" his Kickstarter album project.

But I will ask the guys what happened and why.  I'm curious to know and thanks for bringing it to my attention.

It was a simple soundboard app that played 12 different Intellivision game sounds when you pressed the "keys" (crowd cheer, razz, Yer Out!, etc.) Developed by Realtime Associates, Inc. for both iOS and Android. Here's a website that has some info. Thanks for checking!

Afan88; I was referring to Stainless' Xbox rendition of Warlords. The one here. Are they war lording over the fan?

Context to ruin my joke. Netflix's 6 Marvel series relied on rooftop or hallway fist fights 90% of the time. I swear it got old real quick. I know Marvel loves their rooftop fights in the comic books, but that just becomes cliche after the 3rd time Daredevil does it, then Luke Cage, then Iron Fist, then Daredevil again with Punisher. 🙄 But oh' look! Daredevil basement fights Electra in Defenders.😮

I think the golden ticket is for entering contests.  The shirt is what activates the game when you point your phone at it using the Amico AR app, if I understand correctly.

The difference in experience may have something to do with them getting a new CEO a few years ago. They also sold the Carmageddon IP to THQ Nordic like a year ago - which probably means they needed money pretty badly. They may have been very upside down on the Kickstarter - not making excuses (companies should always honor their promises) - just wondering if there was a lot more drama internally than it may appear.

It will probably be included in the email but just in case: the official logo for use with the Amico AR app (for those press/reporter types) is in the official press release.
