Are there images yet of the steampunk/copper-rose model? I'm male and actually like the purple one but did wonder if it's a bit too girlish. I love the woodgrain one too though. That copper/rose one sounds interesting.

Yes there are images... but unfortunately I can' share them at this time.  Sorry.

As soon as I can I will make them available.

Thanks.

do you know which game will be the first offered after the launch in the 2 week window! ?

No.

We can't make those types of decisions until we see all of the games completed.  Still have 8 months to go!  :)

Definitely Limited Editions as well.  They will cost a little more.

Wasn't expecting that! Guess we will be able mix & match our Amicos now. Very cool.

Absolutely.

Theoretically, this game that will be chosen could have been ready for launch, but it will be designated to wait 2 weeks.

This is what I find special and interesting, that I can't wait to see how you will manage the situation.

I think it will be a great opportunity for these developers, as many will have already toured the first games, and players will be looking for something new.

So it will be a great situation for them even if they are not part of the games at launch.

Thank you, I will be silent now. I have spoken enough ! lol

One question I'm curious about is will there be any way to back up games so they will be playable years from now? You used to buy games on disks or cartridges that would last decades. These days it's all about downloads. As long as the servers are still up, you can log into your account and re-download your games if you need to (new/repaired console). But although nobody wants to think about this, what happens at some point later when the servers are shut down? We can trust Steam, Playstation network, Xbox Live will still be around for a long time to come as they have proven themselves to be big players that aren't going away anytime soon. But let's be honest - we all hope Amico succeeds and brings IntelliVision back into mainstream. But what it it doesn't, and we support the system for the first year or two and then things don't work out and the servers go down? Will we ever be able to play our games again? What if we buy a used system and want to play the games we've bought on it after the servers are down? I'd feel a lot safer knowing there's some way to back up our games so that they could be accessed and played entirely offline if needed, even if you no longer have access to the servers.

Yes.  They will stay on your hard drive forever.  Internet access is in no way required to play Amico.  Although the experience is a lot better if you are (because of Easter Eggs and the ability to keep downloading new games, etc.)

Thanks.

Will that be a limited edition color too? I'm guessing it will be?

Will the galaxy purple be the same cost as the woodgrain's regular limited price ($280), or will it be somewhere in-between retail and the woodgrain pricing? I'd love to see the galaxy purple as a standard retail color.

Thanks. To elaborate, what happens if that particular unit breaks? With say an old Xbox system or PS2, your console could break or fail, and if you bought one used, you would still be able to play all the game's you've bought since they're on discs. With this system, if you buy another unit, and the servers are down, I'm guessing there's no way for you to load your purchased/saved games back on the new system? I'm thinking like a memory card or something that you could backup your games to, encrypted, so that they can be copied back to your new unit.

Yes.  It's Limited.

At this point... all of the LE versions are coming in around $279 I think.  Again... won't know til April.

Hi Tommy, sorry about that! 😂

Seriously though, this is such a great demo. I think personal videos like this (and especially the previous walk around the offices) provide a very welcome insight into your world at intellivision and I think videos like these should be a regular feature - similar to what Media Molecule have done with Dreams. Watching these just makes me want to see more and more of Intellivision and the Amico! Please provide more!!! I like the fact that you are not afraid to show "works in progress" as anyone here will now how tough the video game business is. Really top job - thank you

Tony

I'm really torn, not are which limited edition model to buy. I purple one is nice, but the wood grain pulls at my nostalgia as it reminds me of my Atari.  I don't suppose there's any benefit to owning 3 or 4 consoles, other than having one in each room and access to multiple controllers.  🕹️💯😎

I just had an interesting thought. What if I did buy three or four consoles, and had one in every room of my house. If I pay for one game, will that game be available on all four of my consoles or do I have to buy the game 4 times? My guess is that if I register all consoles to my account then buying a game on the account should make it available, but I wasn't sure how this might work.

man the Amico dice would be awesome in a video craps game!

or how about being able to play a tabletop version of dungeons and dragons on the amico? I think that would be so cool being able to roll your own set of dice on your controller. 😎💯🕹️

Well, not to belabor this point, but even as a relatively small fish, Intellivision has been around in some form or another 3 times longer than those game makers.😉

Well, at least twice as long. Hahaha (maybe I do need Math Fun😓)

Yes I agree - this is an interesting question. Tommy what is your understanding of this as for me I will likely have an Amico in the living room, but like my PS4, have one upstairs too if the wife wants to watch her "Love Island!".

🧐 Ok. You need to take her out and see some real romance. Brain cells die watching that show.
