I feel the same... my solution is to pre-order what I wish, but them go to stores and buy with "a crowd of peers" and give one as a gift to another gamer.

When Red Dead Redemption came out, and DooM etc, I was at the store anyway, in line with Cowboys and Space Marines respectively...   Fun.

Second, I was just browsing You Tube and stumbled upon your Intellivision Mean Message boards video. Absolutely hilarious!! PLEASE think about doing another one! Or maybe there is already more than one and I just haven’t seen it yet??

I was tempted this afternoon, but held off.   Took a look about 5 minutes ago, but I'm a bit too late I guess!  Not meant to be.

You know, I was actually thinking while I was waiting for the Founder Edition to open that Tommy should reserve #2600 and 'gift' it to Michael Arzt as a consolation prize?

That way Atari will at least have one functional console by October?

Well someone was pretty darn close congrats! Not sure if anyone had a better guess but within an hour is pretty impressive.

I never published my guess but I was thinking 72 hours - not even close.

averages out to be about 380 consoles sold each hour!

Impressive for no “real marketing” as Tommy says. I’ve always thought console would be a good seller. The value for fun factor is high, and it’s why we play games after all...to have fun!

YO EVERYONE!!!

I'm happy to report that we completely SOLD OUT of all 2600 units in just under 6 hours!

We've had over 10,000 people join up to our mailing list over the past week and not a single dime was spent on advertising the Founders Edition and we didn't even post the link on social media til there was less than 50 units left.  We only did that because some folks were saying they never got the e-mail (probably in SPAM)... so only thought it was fair to post the link at the very end. 

Confirmation e-mails will be going out tomorrow morning.

Absolute HUGE success and everyone in the office has been hugging, high fiving and fist bumping all day.

I just wanted to personally thank everyone in here for being so supportive and helping us spread the word... especially over the past few weeks.

Looking forward to the next genius who tells us there is no market for what we're doing. 

Leaving for the Middle East tomorrow... looks like there are a TON of pages today.  Will try to get to as many as I can.

Just wanted to show different weapons and things that we'll be doing.  Bouncing bullets in VERSUS mode is awesome!

I was fumbling around a lot because I was nervous so it probably took me till 1:10 to place the order.

And the second question would be... How many hours do you sleep and at what times? I hope you don't mind, but since you told us you create music at night... Do you sleep in the mornings? I used to to that and it's not as bad, they are colder than nights! 🙃

Yes... you would more than likely lose the advantage of getting it a few days early if you are based outside of the U.S.

I typically only sleep 4 hours a day.  I am what is called a "Super Sleeper" (Google it).  About 1% - 2% of the population is lucky enough to have it.  I basically go straight into REM sleep so my 4 hours is just like anyone else's 6 - 8 hours.  Now you know why I'm able to run the company, tour my show and have time to answer folks here (and social media & YouTube).  I'm a very good multi-tasker as well.  For example... a lot of times on on here is usually when I have videos rendering or are waiting for a phone call or e-mail.   

Coming here and other places helps my mind as without things like this I would start to go crazy.  Only so many books you can read or TV shows & movies to watch.  It's a great way to pass the time at 3am when my wife is sleeping and I can't turn on the TV or crank stuff in the movie theatre.

Definitely the bottom.  Would ruin the look if it was anywhere visible IMO.  I think most people (like yourself) feel the same.

Congrats. So glad I purchased one today. This system will be awesome!

So, why pick the number 2600 for number of units?
