Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Wow, I posted elsewhere that somehow skiing has become one of my most looked forward to games (I mean considering the list of awesome classics coming out, that is pretty amazing). However collapsing snow, ice patches & a freak'n avalanche - that is just amazing. Also somehow you made Pong look cool & new, I was like 'yeah you got to include it' but wasn't that interested before - but now. Finally an Evel Knievel game, just warms my heart remembering back those epic TV specials where he would jump more and more ridiculous things.

D&D at 2:45 sold me.  Lots of other good stuff in the trailer, some hit and miss as expected, but Cloudy Mountain is in my top 5 games of all time so a new version that, from a 5 second clip, *seems* to capture the spirit of the original is an instant sale for me.

Love the video !!! I loved the Pong and Cornhole and all the rest..... simple and fun games for the family. !! Im a huge Pong fan and loved all the modes I saw. I can’t wait !!!!! I need mine now 😄

The March 31 preorder offer options are awesome, and different enough from the Founders that it remains 'exclusive'.  Nice work.  I also like that the release statement acknowledges the current situation worldwide.  All as expected, but great job by Tommy and the team!

Can't wait to find out how much interest this generates.

my honest reaction after watching it 4 times.

I liked everything I saw with the following caveats

Skiing and auto racing look phenomenal

a few other like shark shark and safe cracker I could see they need some graphic/animation polish but I'm not in the least bit worried

the only two that disappointed me were:

-missile command the graphics look uninspired. You could do SOO many thing with the gameplay and it looks to me they took the easy way out. Hopefully the original will be available as it simply is still better.

-AD&D , the graphic skins on that game really worry me. I dont want to see the running man in the dungeons, nor do i want to see sharp obvious "rectangles" I was hoping for AD&D gameplay but with the perspective of looking through the ground to see below, and more Diablo/hand drawn cartoon type inspired graphics. Way way too arcadey looking for my taste.

But hey other that those 2 I loved the other 20.

I know this is a family system, but I said 'No Effing Way!' 5 or 6 times watching the vid.  Skiing made me grin a mile wide.  For some reason, it also made me REALLY want a skateboarding game....

Looked pretty cool. Skiing i'm most excited. I hope Super Sprint clone has lockable camera, it was moving too much but maybe because it was a single player?

Somehow, Amico has sold me on Skiing as one of the games I'm most looking forward to. If that gets even better by October... I'm totally sold on that game. Avalanches... Ice Patches... Collapsing snow bridges.... and the so far rumored legendary Yeti are going to keep this game in my most anticipated. Tons of great gameplay features already.

Really great trailer! And for some of the above comments, as with all early gameplay footage, I'm sure the rough edges will be polished before long. Not sure on the AD&D style myself but whatever I can get I'll take at this point ! Never expected to see a remake of it to begin with.

Go check out Trials, if you have one of the systems it's available on. Really cool game that seems essentially pretty similar to what we saw in this trailer. I've only played the demo for Trials Fusion, but it's really solid and I really don't know why I never bought it!

I think Cornhole and Pong should be pack in games. They are simple fun games anyone can play ! I can’t believe how much fun a simple game like Pong looks like ! Even grandma can play !!😜

Amazing job on the cornhole.  The physics of the bags looks amazing.

I was wondering if we'd have a pool game.  I'm curious how that is controlled...  all motion based or touchscreen?

I made my whole family of gamers watch this and they are onboard. My daughter (my kids are all in their mid 20's) says I have to get the wood grain console. I posted the video on my FB page for all my friends to see. I again can't thank Tommy and the team enough for this and I know I've said it before, but their passion is showing through. Somebody take my money and give me my Amico! NOW!  LOL

I find it interesting that I'm more interested in Skiing than probably anything else releasing this year unless Shin Megami Tensei V gets released (not likely) and maybe Amico Breakout. I don't think there are any new games releasing on not-Amico systems for the entire rest of the year that I care about except for maybe PC Death Stranding, but I finally finished the PS4 version a few days ago, so PC version has become super low priority.

This means you're lucky, Tommy, since the only things you have to compete with for my money are 30 year old Japanese Mega Drive and PC Engine games that are so expensive that I can't buy more than 3 or 4 of them every month!

I agree . I prefer if the screen does not move like how it was in the arcade multiplayer. I feel the same way about pinball. 

You DID give us something Earthworm Jim!!! I'll take a soundtrack! or a few.. Lets see -Armor Ambush? or Triple Action?.. Evil Knievel. Skiing.  Cornhole even looks fun. Not to mention AD&D. All have possibilities.  Looking forward to seeing them come along. With the Evil Knievel one, it almost looks like you can recreate some of his real life jumps plus make your own stunt tracks up.

Camera depends on how many human players at once.  Will definitely be more locked down as opposed to floating.

Yeah.... that one is probably the earliest game out of the bunch.  That's why I waited til the very last minute to add it in.  Originally wasn't going to... but glad I did.  But yes... a LONG way to go for that one.
