It looked pretty on paper Mr. Tallarico.  We believed.  🤣

Just one question Tommy, it's about the next round of pre-orders.  Are you going to be staying with the $100 deposit?  I remember you mentioning in passing a while back that it could possibly be less than the original Founders Edition.  With the current Covid-19 situation a lower deposit might encourage more people to pre-order during these times when finances are already starting to get stretched for many families.

Yeah... unfortunately we need to stay at the $100 refundable deposit for a few reasons. 

Some of which are... not fair to the Founders and retailers want to see a serious commitment and they don't feel $50 down is enough.

The reality is that elitist hardcore gamers can't think past their own opinions/likes/dislikes. They have no understanding that just because they personally don't like something that it means that everyone else on the planet is just like them. The hardcore elitist gamers are literally the EXACT OPPOSITE of the people who we will be targeting, attracting and marketing to.

So it doesn't surprise me one bit that they hate it so much.

It also shows a lack of maturity and understanding when people pass judgement on a video game system that they've never ever once played or held in their hand.

Yes... extra controllers will be able to be purchased... and if you have a second Amico... you can use all 4 controllers from those machines on one!

I sent the new trailer and a brief description of Amico to a friend who hadn’t heard about it today and based on thst she wants one when we talk on the phone next week I’m going to answer any questions she may have it’s so interesting seeing people’s reactions and then laughing at folks who think it has no market

Yeah... I agree.  That's what made it even more strange.  At the beginning they mentioned that they wanted to talk about the tech because GDC was canceled this year.  But GDC isn't open to the public.  So why not just make a video and send it to your developers?  The problem was that the expectation of the public was that they were going to see some games, see the machine, maybe hear about the price point, etc... but they got a bunch of tech talk as well.

I'm sure the PS5 is going to be amazing.  And I'm not trying to call out Sony or disparage them in any way.  Was just pointing out the different approaches.  Microsoft & Sony are all about the tech... and I'm steering Intellivision to be all about the FUN first.

I'm a hard  gamer but I do play some casuals love classics and while casual  simple pick up and play pong , breakout  both can get pretty  intense and hardcore especially if they are 4 to 8 players

Plus the console can do beyond simple   "cell phone graphics"   sure we won't see 3d like gtalk but who cares.  The last co sole to do it's own thing was the dreamcast  . But if you guys only sell as much as that  ..with your budgets that would be huge. But I think intellivision will be bigger

I feel like an intervention is needed.  Not necessarily for the narcotics.. if he's skidding about the floor in circles with no clothes on next video, hopped up on K2, it'd be a good laugh. 

But, hang a picture.  Tape a grocery list.  I don't like the wall of video games aesthetic either, but this was decorated like a depressing halfway house.  Ohhhhhhh.....

How does one become and influencer? Is smoking, being a potty mouth, no gaming knowledge and bad interior decorating  mandatory...then count me out....muhahahaha on the bright-side he likes your music.  This made me laugh Tommy.  I have not heard the term shovelware is so long, still laughing.  Man SmashJT needs to sort this guy out.

I'd love a  game that  has platforming ,puzzle solving , some twitch based arcade environments ,  shooting depends of in a western scenario.... cart racing....boxing  .  Football , golf , horse racing.  All in one comedic game.   Stooges would be great.   Can be 3 players but what if it goes beyond  .say you can have modes or stages where others can join in as cops or mob or whatnot a mad scientist and gorilla.:)    a d stooge selection can be every stooge member  with bonus of the last two stooges that were going to join curly hoes version of the stooges before he took I'll.  

Tommy, if you can speak to it, what is 8 player Pong going to look like?  Seems too many paddles to line up on each side if it's beyond doubles-style. 

Any chance of alternative layouts Chinese checkers-style to allow folks their own end to defend or such?

Good question.  Maybe it could be cool to have one player on the bottom and one at the top ? I don't know if it will be playable or too difficult !?

They can do Warlords which is basically a 4player Pong/Breakout game, and was way more fun than both of those games.

But you could do an Octagon and tiny paddles for that many players. Not sure how well it would work.

Foosball was on the Atari Video Olympics game if I remember right. Two teams of four tiny paddles. Each have limited range of movement like an actual foosball table.

PONG is only a 4 player game.  8 didn't make sense (as you pointed out).

Yeah... we're going to be sending the FE folks the same 25% off code for our online merch store.  It was something we decided to include in the VIP Editions... so I thought it was only fair to let the FE folks have it as well.

It's probably not seen as a big perk... but I did want to make sure that the Founders didn't feel like the VIP's got something they didn't.  So we'll be sending out the e-mail to the FE folks on March 31st.
