Yes I feel the video where I expressed I was expecting a major Game Designer announcement but it ended up being J Allard was the beginning of bad times for our channel. I didn't think it was going to explode that badly as we expressed some disappointment but also optimism of seeing what he can do. From there its been a battle of "misrepresentation" going both ways. I don't want to battle an entire community. I understand how you guys feel its pretty clear, my last video was just trying to clarify why I thought things were the way they were.

 

That said we will try to do better in the future and hopefully I can get my hands on a unit and give it a review, I wont allow any of the arguing to skew my opinion on whether it is good or not

 

Ultimately the games and unit will determine is it amazing or not.

Not to break up this back and forth battle that seems to be raging, but I do have a question that I would like to post in this Tommy Tallarico Q&A thread.

 

@Tommy Tallarico  You mentioned once long ago that the idea would be to get into the games as quickly as possible. Five seconds or less would be the ideal.  It seems that the one thing that slows down every game I play is sitting through all the splash screens at the beginning for the developer, the publisher, and whoever else gets a splash screen.  Will Amico have splash screens like this? Title screens? How much time will these add to getting into the game and start playing?

I personally thought your latest video was very confusing and didn't think anything I said was "fear mongering" at all.  You showed a clip of Cara our VP of Marketing who has 3 young kids and was describing how important yet challenging it is for a parents to be able to watch over everything they consume.  They don't need to worry about that with Amico.  You used that as an example of "fear mongering".   Wow.

Yeah... we're just really not on the same page with this whole fear mongering thing.  Time to move on.  We are at opposite ends of the spectrum on this for sure.  Opposite ends of the universe actually.

That video is from yesterday as you can see I'm literally in the same scene in the same clothes which was filmed and uploaded yesterday.

 

I decided I wasn't going to post it but then Tommy continues to want to argue endlessly, so I figured ok whatever it doesnt matter how much I try to explain myself to the community only quotes will show what i mean, might as well post it. I literally state this.

I agree, social media is a great platform for people who love to cause problems. Unfortunately, it appears many people have lost the art of showing respect and "holding their tongue."

 

Now everyone has the right to an opinion. It's good to have an opinion. That's one of the great freedoms we have (happy Memorial day), but please... don't always share it. 

 

In case of the Amico, what's the point in spreading negative crap about a product that hasn't even released yet? I'm not understanding why/how some people are getting off on this. If you don't like something, great move along. Why waste time and energy complaining about something you don't plan on purchasing in the first place?

 

At this time, while it's still in development, nonsensically dumping on the Amico publicly is ridiculously out of touch. Actually, socially it's hilariously awkward. Especially given how passionate the creator (Tommy) is about the project. It's the equivalent of showing up at a random school's science fair, ripping some kid a new one and then pointing and laughing because you think his volcano's lava flow isn't creamy enough.

To be honest you have been fine on here. You have your point of view and haven't been nasty. I dont agree with your thoughts as to fearmongering. Just as many other on here dont and there maybe others that do follow your position.  It happens. No ill will towards you at all. And I understand that now about the video thanks for clarify that.  

 

For me there is a clear distinction between wanting something to become different and stating those differences.

 Ive never felt explaining these differences as Tommy has, as to putting down or inserting fear. Because there are many people that dont play games and its because of certain content on those systems.  Nothing more, that keeps them from buying those consoles. Explaining that to reach those people to me isn't fear. 

Trust me I know alot of people personally that will buy this console just because of this issue.  Either way hope all goes well for you and your channel.

I didn't see him listed as a Game Designer anywhere such as his linkedin or wiki, I know he was involved in bringing third party designers onboard for xbox

That said hope he designs you great games for the platform

Just a thought here but is there a hard deadline that you can share regarding production...I.E. if things aren't ready to roll by "this date" then 10/10/2020 gets pushed back to "this Other date".

 

Whether or not the "other" date might still be before Xmas 2020, and if it is pushed back about how many more games might become available on launch date. Honestly, i'm not worried here as in my mind I want this to be the best product you can make and I'm certain it will be. And the extra development time for the system might mean more games on launch?!?

I'll give you a little insight on this thread.  I answer everyone I possibly can.  I go through each statement, response, question, joke, etc. and typically comment on it if I feel I can add something.

That's all.  You may think that my many responses are somehow "continue to argue endlessly" but they are not.  I'm just giving my thoughts on the commentary that is being left and chiming in when I feel its appropriate.
