I did not get any "dopamine" from my post, in fact the opposite.  I hesitated to post anything negative, but decided to give an honest opinion out of respect for the proprietors. They are putting real time and money into this and deserve to hear earnest critique.

Thank you for sharing your input, and just to clarify, the comments about trolling and dopamine highs were not in reference to you.  I simply used my reply to your post to address a few broader issuesincluding trolling, which we've had to deal with ever since the Amico was announced—but it wasn't my intention to characterize your critiques specifically as trolling.  Respectfully stated points of view, both positive and negative, are welcome here.

Just wanted to leave a few of these here for folks who may have thought that delaying the event a day was bad.  You'll notice a "theme" throughout these.  A "spotlight" on a certain worm character?

:)

These kinds of massive headlines are only a very small part of what is to come.

Hey tommy.

i noticed that sideswipers was originally developed for vr. (The logo depicts some creature wearing a vr headset) will they release a version on psvr? Would be absolutely awesome in vr!

Also, it hotwheels officially affiliated with the game, or a chance that it will be?

Just sticking with the Forza game since that was my experience and one I clearly remember since it was my breaking point, there was no option to skip. I swear I was looking for a bypass button and trying combo buttons that would have made a Mortal Kombat master proud. But no luck. And it was long walkthrough with lots of tasks to achieve.

I don’t even care if it’s only the first time you run it (which you are, of course, correct about). It’s the fact that no one in game development spoke up and said, “Y’know, lots of people will already know what to do, or perhaps have played this at a friend's house. Let’s give the user a clear option to go straight to gameplay while having a walkthrough for everyone else who is new and wants it.”

Listen, in the general scheme of things, this is minor (if even that) to most people. I feel somewhat silly even expressing my position on this. But it played a role (along with a few other points) of me stepping away from the big consoles.

So, yeah... I liked the word “Skip” in the video today.

I feel ya. I would add maybe sometimes you get frustrated with a game that needs a 20 page manual worth of walk through that you'll probably forget a lot of once you start playing and end up button and stick mashing to try to play.

Not side swipers

You.mean.the racing fame they showed in todays video. Only a demo was made in vr intellivision picked up development.on.the full game and its exclusive so.no

Sideswipers im.going to take a wild guess and asdume.it becomes a hotwheels game

come on, keep it real, blowing smoke helps no one. the audio was 10 to 15 seconds behind the video, thats umm not good.. So lets be real, at that point it was just disaster management. Im sure Tommy and his team are pissed and to be honest it is really a YouTube upload issue as Im sure their local version is spot on. Im sure going forward they will upload and preview content on a secret account the night before to make sure upload is good.  EWJ saved the day though so they just will move on and do better next time

My audio was perfectly synced through the whole thing.

i'm glad to hear some people didnt experience the lag, thats good to know. Unfortunately a lot of people did and I assure you with my 1 gb a sec connection, the problem isnt on my end. Its likely a youtube issue as many lately have run into issues it seems with video/audio syncs on the uploaded videos

I can buy youtube could be the issue. Half the time the comments don't load for the average youtube video and I have to reload the video for the comments to come up.

I can practically guarantee he was not talking about you. There's criticism and then there's heckling.

It seems as thought the reactions to the event are somewhat mixed. I get that. I think there was a lot of hype and expectations for this, and if it wasn't perfect, people were going to be disappointed. For me, I enjoyed it. I was bummed about the delay, but I support it. I was getting worried that Amico was going to be rushed out the door before it was finished, and trying to make 10-10 would have done that.  Waiting another 6 months isn't the best, but it gives everyone time to finish the games and the console.  I guess gamers are used to delays. That's fine.

The biggest surprise for me was that they're doing a game based on Blank Slate. That game is AWESOME. Whenever the whole family gets together, the two games we always play are Farkle and Blank Slate. Now both of those are coming to Amico. If you've never played it, it really is a fun game that everyone of all ages (well... above the age of 7 maybe) can play and have a great time with.

My wife's favorite part was probably Bomb Squad. It looked like an escape room, and the idea of solving puzzles together really peaked her interest.

Some are saying the quality of the stream wasn't great, and I only was able to watch it after it posted to YouTube. The video looked great and there were no issues with the audio.

People are saying that the EWJ video at the end was the saving grace, but what really cracked me up was Kevin coming out and doing a parody of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It was a great way to end the event.

As for matte or glossy.... I really can't tell a difference. Normally I prefer matte everything over glossy, so I'll go with matte.

Overall, great show. I hope it gets the coverage it deserves. I'm not sure what announcement got it delayed, but it was a fun video. I hope the intended audience gets a chance to watch it.

Tommy, are you left-handed? I couldn't help notice that you were using your right hand for the circle pad playing Skiing. As I right-hander, I figure I will just play as I normally do...circle pad will be in my left hand.

Just curious. :)

Me too !!

i hope that was the case with most, including any press.  Mine was like watching a 1970s kung foo movie,  but hell i am a FE customer so I aint going anywhere.

oh and while I do like the gloss wood grain in my cars, matte is fine for the unit. A lil more old school look

Am I the only one excited for the Evel Kenievel game? I haven't heard anyone talk about it. I've played the mobile version and am enjoying it. I'm sure the Amico version will be way better with a controller.

for me it will come down to the rag doll physics.  if they are done right, then they are a blast and can have you laughing all night as you torture the poor guy.

Man, what an awesome presentation today! I was already a fan of the system, but even more now. I'm sure you'll see a ton more fans popping up after today. This will also squash the trolls as the only thing they could possibly say is "why'd it get delayed"? It totally makes sense to push it back due to current events, but watching this special feels like the first big exposure to the system and the momentum is building. If I didn't know anything about Amico and saw this video I would be surprised if it was released this year. It would seem almost early? I just wished the date was a little sooner like January... But that's just because I've scoured the internet for all possible Amico content and learned too much.  Thanks @Tommy TallaricoTallarico 😎🤘🤘

I do too. It has a unique look to it. Definitely stands out amongst all the other games.
