It doesn't have to be.  It all depends on how you present everything.  And who the speaker is.  You can make it fun and interesting.  Add some music and animation.

Tommy,

I don't know if this has been asked before.  How are you numbering the FE?  Is it as you receive them or is it based on the order number?

I know you missed seeing this post.  So I wanted to show it again.  Hopefully you can answer this.

Far cheaper when you consider the $50 used console entry point.

Bigger Problem: Price bloat has moved Amico into the arena of the Switch which is its #1 threat as the best reason to pony-up $50 more for a known winner by Nintendo.

Hi,

I was wondering if you could expand on your comments and get a little more specific.

Do you feel that retro systems from pawn shops are going to compete with Amico?  If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how exactly.

Could you expand a little on "price bloat" as well?  What are your specific thoughts on a brand new family friendly video game system with 2 full controllers, 6 pack-in games.  All games are exclusives & $10 or less with no in-app  purchases, loot boxes, microtransactions, etc.  What do you feel the price point for such a product should be?

And I would love to better understand your thoughts on why you feel the Nintendo Switch is so similar to Amico that they are a threat to our business and success.  Over 3.1 Billion casual gamers on the planet yet only 75 million Switch owners.  That is a very very small percentage of the worldwide casual market that owns a Switch.  Do you not see any room for a platform that offers something completely unique which focuses on safe, family, affordable entertainment that anyone can enjoy no matter what their skill levels?  If so, why?  And even if it was a similar product... are you saying that Xbox shouldn't exist because Playstation already does?

I'm not trying to be confrontational, I'm just curious as to your thinking so I can better understand where you are coming from.

Thanks for engaging, posting and being a part of the community here.

Looking forward to hearing and understanding more.

I gave my Switch to my kid to make room for Amico.  My wife and I want to sit down and casually play a game here and there.  Learning a bunch of menus and buttons every time we start a game gets old fast.  We have found a few casual games but not enough to make it worth it for us.  Having an entire game system that's family friendly and easy to hop into with every game is exactly what we have been waiting for.

I could use some sleep.

Don't think I have had a good nights sleep since... since.. my honeymoon over 30 years ago.

😴

Maybe I need to get some meds from Rainbow... or watch your new Spreadsheet Slideshow!

Tommy,

For one of your Amico videos, you should do a power point presentation.

PowerPoint must be used VERY carefully. Too much can result in death.

Something like that at any rate.😆

Take all the time you need to get a quality product in our hands @Tommy Tallarico. I know this is your goal, we are all onboard with that.

That said? I can’t wait to get my hands on Amico!

Thanks!  Yes!  For sure!

That is our #1 goal.  QUALITY and making it great as opposed to getting it out ASAP.

Appreciate your kinds words and understanding.

Not sure.  Would be a question for our logistics team... I'll see what I can find out.

Yep.  Our focus groups and market research say the same thing.  Lots of menus and buttons seem very simple and easy for most gamers.... but for casuals... they see it as complex.

That is why we are focusing a lot of our time on simple menus and easy to understand UI's.

Appreciate you sharing your personal experiences.

Are there any nice PD images of the Amico that can go on Wikipedia? I put up one that was common, but it still got flagged (although they had the original source wrong).

I'm sure CurlyQ could whip something up, with Tommy's blessing.

FIXED!

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm interested in the Amico and the Switch, which I still haven't bought. But if I considered the value of both products, to be fair, I think I would enjoy the Switch more.

To each there own ! I am sure I will enjoy the Amico more but the switch is quite awesome. I have a switch and it’s very fun but I’m super old school and love what the Amico is offering !

🤣 I have to believe that quote some days. I sit through startup pitches once a month and seriously after the 4th hour....I just want to have a 10 minute break where I just run around the halls or outside yelling for a bit.

Also one more thing, although I know its the auto industry, they have had a lot of downtime due to electronics and other parts. I thought it had some relevance to here since there is an ongoing semiconductor shortage: https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2021/01/08/ford-escape-parts-shortage-louisville/6590956002/

Also, my Wii just died and I am in a panic because its really the only system my son constantly plays and doesn't need help playing for the most part (he is 7). Guess I am going to have to try to find one on FB marketplace or at a secondhand gaming store. 😭

Anything but this. I've died many times from PowerPoint. One of the ones they made us attend was a class on how to make PowerPoint slides. Eventually when they made me do presentations, I actually even preferred to do them without slides, if possible.

Aren’t Stainless Games doing Missile Command on Amico, I’m sure they would convert this over as well at some point 👍😀

Totally fair comment.  Everyone is different.

Question for you...

What does your current household look like?  How many people and what are their ages.

Always interested in getting feedback.

Thanks for being here and being a part of the conversation.

Wii's with bundles of games and a second controllers still get $150 - $200 on Ebay.  Just think.. for $100 more they could just get an XBOX Series S.

(see what I did there).

:D

Stainless is pretty much finished with Missile Command.  They will be moving over to Warlords pretty soon.  This version that they did for the 360 is what we are basing our exclusive version on for sure.

It's going to be very cool!

Warlords and other paddle games won't be right without a proper controller.  Looking forward to seeing these types of games demoed with an amico controller.
