Some quick conclusions from the little game:

- MonsterSky (4-4-4-4-4-4) is the undisputed champion

- Pathfinder (0-0-1-1-1-4) has a lot of things to discover in pre-2005 consoles

- RxScram (1-1-0-0-0-1) could try the PS1, PS2, SNES, Saturn, N64 and Dreamcast one day and maybe have a blast

MonsterSky is the winner.  He has me beat.  I've tried 16 of the 24 consoles in that list.  I posted my list yesterday.

Here's mine:

How many consoles have you tried from each row? Here's my chart: 0-1-2-3-2-0

Interesting indeed. (I've never owned the super-expensive systems, or a Sega or a Sony)
I'm English. Lots of the systems on the list were either super-rare or never released in UK.

2 (2600, and Intellivision*)
1 (Jaguar)
1 (N64)
3 (Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox-360)
2 (Wii, Wii-U)

It would be interesting to see the others there too, like the Videopac/Odyssey, Atari 7800, 5200, XEGS.
1 (7800)

* I didn't know the Intellivision was originally more expensive than the Colecovision. In UK as a kid, they were super-rare.
The pricing on all those older consoles is also crazy, these days. I think I'm never going to get to touch most of the rarities.

No we need the same for hand-helds. :-D
Also the popular computers for gaming. 🙂
Vic20, C64, Spectrum, ST, Amiga. They were "consoles" for many people. 😕

Yes!  We have 2 really unique things we have started working on.  One is hardware/accessory based and the other "game/activity" utilizes 2 controllers at once.   The game will probably be out first and probably by the end of 2022 at the latest.  The hardware add-on is currently scheduled for 2023, but still a long way to go.

The Ring Fit was cool for about 20 minutes, but personally... me & my wife got bored quick and never picked it up again after the first time we played it.  In the long run (unless they start coming out with more games for it) it doesn't seem like it was worth the purchase for us (others may feel differently), but gotta commend Nintendo for always trying to do something different and unique!

Accessories?!  You don't say... I was just talking about this the other day.  I'm... interested. ;-)

Ring Fit is a great title, a simple band to flex and engage the one JoyCon for positioning, pressure, another for movement.. I would love to see Nintendo move further with this.   There's a bit to the game as you go, but the formula probably isn't for everybody - it's very much progression and different activities as you go.  I love the side quests, but they can interfere with the workout aspect.   Good tool, that just screams "I WANT THIS APPROACHED FROM 15 DIRECTIONS!!!!"  A lot of potential.

A question:
For those of you who aren't collectors and/or don't care if you have physical media or not, what would drive you get a physical media game for Amico?

I thought I had no interest in any physical media at all. Then I remembered that I have an Oregon Trail throw blanket. Would I pony up for a physical media copy of Oregon Trail? Oh yeah!

Maybe I could be talked into an Amico Hot Wheels car (or maybe not). Maybe another game will have a tie in that is too awesome to resist. Regardless, I'd want the physical version of Oregon Trail. Big time.

I'm not huge on 3D games in general, and the wiimote stuff wasn't my jam, but related Amico Darts sounds like a lot of fun. I'd like to see that, and I still wonder if the Cornhole won't end up capturing me as well.

For me it depends on what kind of game it is.  Also, it would depend on what extras it came with.  For example, a physical version of Tron including a frisbee size data disc would be awesome.  More so, if it lights up.

video-game-console-prices-adjusted-for-inflation-2021-USD.png

3-4-3-4-4-3 = 21.  The only consoles I’ve not owned listed above are: Sega SMS (wish I had bought it!), Atari Jaguar and Nintendo Wii-U.   There are a few more I’ve owned not listed such as:  Odyssey 2, Amiga CD32 and Vectrex.  I loved the Colecovision, the NeoGeo, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast and the Xbox 360 the most out of all of these though there is affection for most of the others too (if we talk about Computers, then add The Amiga as my favorite of all time).

Good times !

It’s been a long time, took a few months off the pinball forums and Atari age and with this thread, boy did I miss a bunch of posts!  I just read the last ten pages (don’t have time to read up 130 pages! Ouch!).

extra/different ship for physical media:  I hate that idea, because it again creates a “comic book cover special edition” mentality, which I thought is something Amico was getting away from.  If you start down this path, how soon before Walmart throws a bunch of money your way so there pack-in licensed Pac-Man game comes with extra levels, or ms-pac-man character swap, etc.  Stay away from this path Tommy, stay through to your original vision.

All bets are off though for pack in physical content, that’s what is cool about physical media.

Inspired by the recent announcement by Lucasfilm Games?

I do think a Rescue on Fractalus remake would be cool, but they'd better redo Ballblazer, too!

Howdy to fans of Rescue on Fractalus.  Although Tommy has said he’s not a fan of first person perspective games on Amico, I personally would love to see this.  I’m such a huge fan of this game

But speaking of remake, please do check out version 1.0 released recently. This also work in VR (and is AMAZING) but normal 2D is fantastic too.  Luke (the dev) has done an awesome job, also with support from the original devs.  Oh boy I’d love to see Lucasfilm games pick this up

I have special powers eheh.

No I think when you quote a post you can go in and change it. I should have bold it so it didn’t seem like a ninja edit but just a joke.  I thought it worked both ways :) you are a great contributor to this thread

These are mine: 3-1-2-2-1-2

Very typical Italian tactic, with many defenders and few attackers. Oh yeah, I forgot these are not soccer formations.

Tattica italiana molto tipica, con molti difensori e pochi attaccanti. Oh sì, dimenticavo queste non sono formazioni di calcio.

What do most kids like in gym class?  Pushups or dodgeball?  Most "exergames" are heavy on the exer, light on the game.

Here are 2 examples of Nintendo titles that CAN HAVE an easy changed Ho program,  yet FUN, exercise mode.

Splatoon.  Running in place is your scalar speed, and the stick is the direction relative to forward.

Mario Kart: running in place is your gas.  This can be called a 0 CC division.

Changed HAS an exergames to CAN HAVE

I remember this as Behind Jaggi Lines on my old Atari 800XL. What’s this version from? Looks really nice 👍😀
