Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Anyone remember hearing if the 3rd party original Intellivision games are also planned to be re-released for Intellivision?  Would love to be able to re-play these classic games too.

Hoping IE will work an arrangement with the license holders and include these in some retro packs as well.

My top original would-like-to-see list:

1) Burger Time

2) Bump ‘n’ Jump

3) Atlantis

4) Swords and Serpents (with bug fix)

5) Microsurgeon

6) Beauty and the Beast

7) Pitfall

I recall something about 3rd party games coming to Amico.  Most of the games in your list are going to be on Amico.  The ones I'm not sure about are: Atlantis, Sword & Serpents and Pitfall.  Hopefully they come to Amico at some point.  I know OEB Pete loves Pitfall.  But since Pitfall is an Activision game, it'll depend on Amico's success before they allow their game on Amico.

Are you talking about remakes of the original titles, or re-releasing the original Intellivision games?  My question was for the latter.

I was referring to retro re-imagined.  Sorry.  I misread your post.  I guess you were talking about direct ports of the original games?  I thought Tommy mentioned something about re-releasing the original games on Amico.  I remember someone on here mentioned an adapter that would allow original carts to be played on the Amico.  Not sure if it'll happen but it would be cool.

PS5 Report Reveals When the Console Will Get Easier to Buy, And It's a Long Time Away

In 2021, it's still very difficult to buy the PS5. Sony's new PlayStation console isn't just in high demand, but production issues and component shortages are constraining stock. High demand and low supply is always a terrible combination for consumers, but exasperating the issue is the reseller market, which continues to thrive months after the console's launch. And as long as consumers continue to buy the console off scalpers at absurd prices, scalpers will continue to hawk PS5 restocks and buy large amounts each time with bots capable of making orders far quicker than any human.

Many expected the situation to change in 2021, but so far this isn't happening, and it doesn't look like it's going to happen. In fact, one new report suggests both the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be tough to track down until at least mid-2022.

Speaking about the shortage, Foxconn, one of the world's largest electronics contract manufacturers, warned the component shortage isn't ending anytime soon. And as long as this is the case, stock of both consoles will be limited, despite demand. To this end, Foxconn is anticipating being unable to fulfill all of its orders and it doesn't expect much to change on this front until the aforementioned window.

Of course, the hindered production wouldn't be too big of a deal if the PS5 and Xbox Series X weren't competing with a metric ton of products for the same components. From Apple phones to cars, seemingly everyone is desperate for the same components.

Thankfully for Xbox fans, demand for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S isn't as great as the PS5. Each PS5 restock currently sells out in seconds, which perhaps explains why it's the fastest-selling console to date, at least in the United States, despite supply issues. Meanwhile, it's hard to get a next-gen Xbox, but restocks don't sell out nearly as fast, and this window of opportunity will only expand over time, at least until the holiday season rush.

What's the bug fix? Adding an ending to a game that doesn't have one?

It would be nice if this game got an ending.  Perhaps if it gets re-imagined, there can be one.  Also, in the remake, having a mini map on screen would be helpful so you don't get lost.  In the remake, you just add treasure to your inventory.  In the original, you had to keep going back to the treasure room.  That's no fun having to backtrack.  So, by using an inventory it's easier.  Anyway, I'm hoping to see these features in the remake if it happens.

Still behind on catching up to questions.  Spent all weekend working on final stuff for Moon Patrol & Skiing.

Just saw this and noticed it hadn't been posted yet.

Very cool video from Smash JT.

I really like how much he enjoyed his time at Intellivision and how much fun he had with our games!

So, we got a Shark! Shark! T-shirt on the IE shop.  Now all we need is a shirt with Puffy on it.  Also, it would be neat to have a "Where is Puffy" mini game in the new Shark! Shark!.  It could be like finding Waldo but instead it's Puffy.

Other ideas I had for Swords & Serpents if it gets remade for the Amico:

1. Have more variety of enemies.  The original only had 2 enemies I think.

2. Give 10 lives to start with instead of 9.

3. Lastly, there were 2 characters to play as in the original.  How about a 3rd option where you can make your very own character?

Haven't heard any mention of Mattel games requiring second licenses being included.  And they don't currently have any agreement with Activision.  Below is what was said about the intellivision imagic games; those are possible but don't expect any bug fixes unless a homebrewer wants to do the work.

I’m patiently waiting for those videos Tommy mentioned that would be coming in April.

😎

Yeah.  Where are these so called videos?  April is almost over.  But there's always next month.  Come on Tommy.  We need the videos.

I can’t remember which ones . He mentioned 3 or 4 I think including Cornhole. I’m patient but do expect him to follow up either way.

Right, he said something about showing videos of the pack in games.

Well, with Tommy gone.  I'll take over as CEO of IE.  Wouldn't that be something?  Lol.

You have the name already so a natural fit. However you might have to fight John Alvarado's mustache for the job and I am not sure who would win
