It would be even better if Sam's club got involved too! 😁

Considering they are owned by Walmart...

Wouldn't That Be Something?

I'm not sure if you meant to type it like that or not.

If you didn't... it makes it even funnier.

I think this game was mentioned before as a possibility for Amico.  It's like Breakout but with enemies.  It would be cool to have Arkanoid on the Amico.

Actually... It's like Breakout on Amico.

:)

I meant the company.  They spell it like that.

Hahaha!  Yeah... one of my high school buddies worked there when they first opened up in the late 80's.  He was never teased relentlessly because he would make more jokes about it than we would!

Right, it is.  The only difference is in Breakout there are no enemies.

Would you bet your life on that?

No I would not.  I'm wondering if the new re-imagined Breakout has some enemies in it.  I know it has power ups like in Arkanoid.

I can't remember if this one was posted here.

Cool video about the Amico controller from someone who played it and asked me questions about how it works.

Hi Tommy,

I assume that the controllers and console are universal around the world, meaning, if I bought a controller in USA or Australia, for example, would it work on a UK Amico? Also would the physical games work from different country’s? Thanks 👍😀

It should, however if you buy your controllers from Australia you would have to get used to holding them upside down.....

I wish to see C64 games with awesome music as Crazy Comets or Parallax.

Wow those do have some cool soundtracks, especially Crazy Comets has a real demoscene feel to it. Some interesting C64 games there.

@Tommy Tallarico - Been fun watching all the recent Amico related videos, especially seeing Amico out in the general public. Looking forward to seeing more of those up-to and beyond launch.

I was also happy to hear (via AAA) you address production plans beyond the initial launch and your targeted number of units you are trying to hit for Black Friday, as I was beginning to get concerned there might be a significant gap between the 1st and subsequent runs due to the cost/availability of components.

Thanks again as always for being so transparent.  Its a shame that some have doubled down on their negativity and have squandered a very rare opportunity to be apart and enjoy this journey like the rest of us here.

Looking forward to meeting you soon, when my wife picks up her Moon Patrol Contest prize.

As an European guy who had an Amstrad CPC, my perception is that Commodore 64 games, due to the combination of awesome techno music and strangely depressing colors (they evolved the VIC-20 8-color palette adding 8 "opposite colors", so they were forced to choose colors whose opposite version was kind of usable and only "sad" colors were valid for that), have a very unique "emo" new wave feel to them.

It's interesting because this happens regardless of the game, even if it's a Pacman clone.
