Most current blockchains seem to use a lot of energy for mining tokens, as well as for verifying transactions in the first place. I know Ethereum is planning to unveil ETH 2.0, which hopes to address this...However, progress appears to have stalled for years.

Yep.  We'll be talking about this a lot more closer to launch.

Actually, joking aside, I think the smooth surface of the Amico will make it ideal for fancy "skins"!
There's a partnership, Tommy, and I'll take a set free, for the suggestion.

Latest... Finding an old, trashed, painted over and beat-up Gorf cabinet conveted to a 90s Neo-Geo 2-player fighting game.

 

Bringing it back to it's original glory with a new top end, and completely restored graphics and lower end/coin door.

 

Will have all LEDs, color changing strips under it, new controls with trackball and spinner... And all new custom control panel graphics playing on a 20" Dell LCD vertical mount.

Looks promising as my only major gripe with the Evercade is the screen contrast (or lack there of at anything but the correct & narrow viewing angle)

I understand the Amico console being delayed again due to Covid, but what about the 2 new games per month that were promised?  It would be nice if every month 2 more games would be shown.  Surely the game designers have all they need in their development kits to accomplish this.

It would be nice if we see the videos of the pack in games Tommy said would be shown in April. I mentioned this few times in the last few days and was hoping for a response, but no answer. There is still a week left in April so I’m hoping we see these videos soon ! 

Hopefully, some news and videos of games will come soon.

No disrespect to the honor of the Queen.  I've read in quite of few articles that Prince Philip had a very good sense of humor, especially with her.  He once dressed as a Royal Guardsmen and completely caught Her Majesty "off guard" as she didn't know it was him till he said her name as she walked by.  She was caught with a big smile on her face.  She's a treasure to the world and very much appreciated that way.  Your point is well said, recieved and taken with respect.  Probably not in the best timing, but not meant to offend.

I honestly thought it was pretty cute, but you're right.  I'm sorry.

They'll be a lot more than 2 a month coming.

I've known about this for a few months but couldn't say anything.  It was killing me.  

In other Evercade news...  we just finished working on the box art with them this week and they'll be making an announcement of the first 12 games pretty soon!

I have a deep respect for the Queen of the Monarchy.

I grew up with a Grandmother that was very similar to Elizabeth in many ways. Her sense of humor was by far, one of my most cherished memories. ♥️

If my memory serves Intellivision had around 50 games in development with 30 to 35 set to be launch titles which would leave 15-20 games for the post launch release of we assume 4 games released a month that’s 3-4 months worth of games and we know production has already started on another 50 games.  We know most games should be able to be developed in a max of 6 months and we are just under 6 months from release if we assume on the high side that 10 games per batch don’t meet release standard that’s still 30-35 games for release and 45-50 on the shelf for 4 releases a month which would give them a max of 11-12 months worth of games by launch or shortly after 

If this sell well, developers will be coming out of the woodwork to create for it.

I wouldn't worry about software lacking.  We just need the killer app. to get the console sales up!

MLB seems to be having a resurgence.  How? I don't know.  They have done very little right with the game/marketing/development etc.

But Baseball could be a great title.  It was maybe the single most played game in my house BITD.

If corn hole can be close to WII Bowling...  Tommy is ultra rich and we will have all the games we want!

I would rather say that we need electronic parts !  Sales will never go up if we only have 20 000 units at launch !

Which brings me to a question for Tommy :

If we don't have enough units available in October, will you probably put off all the marketing surrounding the launch of the console until later ?

I think it was mentioned somewhere that Intellivision has had to turn down certain developer applications, just because they already received so many.

As an Intellivision collector, I was excited to see Tommy coming out with the Intellivision Amico.  Intellivision had some of the most complex games for its time. I see previews of games geared toward preschoolers.  Where are the retro reimagined games - the Imagic games like Atlantis, Microsurgeon, Demon Attack, Beauty and the Beast, etc. and the serious Intellivision games such as B-17, Utopia, SeaBattle, Space Armada, etc.?  Yes, you have shown Nightstalker and Astrosmash and talked about B-17.  Shouldn’t they come out at least at the same time as Sesame Street, Care Bears and CornHole?  If this is truly a family system, what are you offering for the preteen and teens to play with Grandpa and Grandma, or Dad and Mom?  So, did I have it wrong?  Is this just going to be a system for the little ones, because, while laudable, my family is past that.  My three sons grew up with Intellivision, and they’re asking the same thing as their children are preteens and teens.
