MrBeefy & atarifan88 have both got 50% of their list correct!  But I ain't telling which.  :D

So, Amico games are all remakes from original Intellivision.

Any new original games for the system?

Remakes of Intellivision, Atari, Imagic, and arcade licenses is only 25% of the games library

25% will be sports games but not just major sports but things like darts. Shuffle board, I’m kind of hoping eventually we see a lumberjack competition game I always enjoyed watching those competitions and it’s the only way I could ever safely handle a chainsaw lol

25% will be trivia/board games/card games/game shows

25% will be original IPs

What can I say ...  ( I am trying to think twice before writing ... ) 😑

I don't like that kind of ironic comments ! What's your point ?

We all know it will be more advanced than the original Intellivision !

We all know that Amico will have original games. They will be announced strategically and timely ! (marketing)

And on our side, for the little guessing game, it's almost impossible to guess an orignal game if it's original ... you know what I mean ! ?  lol

So we are trying with what we are thinking we know ! Original games will probably not be on the next trailer, but we will have a lot on the Amico ! :)

So ... are you playing with us, or are you here just challenging Tommy !? 🤔

Hey Tommy seeing as your team is going to be doing sports games, I hope you can get the IP library of Epyx.  I have to say a respectful update to California Games, World Games, Winter, Summer would be amazing.  I always thought those games were so approachable by young and old and boys and girls of the day.

Of course with Epyx I would also love to see amazing remakes:

Pitstop 1 / 2 (There are really not many games that let to race and do the  pit stop at the same time. Multiplayer racers with your friends in the pit would be amazing)

Jumpman Series (Couch multiplayer on this would be hilarious since this game already is silly)

Temple of Apshai series

Impossible Mission (I can't even imagine what this would be like with 4 players playing at once assisting / assassinating each other. Yes a Melee mode on this would be awesome, like the rare Data East masterpiece Outfoxies)

In any case I was just daydreaming on just what games and how those unique controllers will be utilized.

I am just happy to hear that there is going to be a lot of Quality Control on games so us gamers don't have an online game store that has a ton of junk that buries anything good.

I also wanted to add one more thing:

Tommy, thanks again for being part of this community and allowing us AtariAge folks be part of yours.

I just want to remind people here that having the actual console developer be so open and responsive is a rare opportunity.

I know some folks can be negative and obstinate, but thank you for not running away from here.  I can tell you that I appreciate you giving us your ear everyday.

Thank-you for the kind words and support.  It really means a lot.

I've lurked these forums for years without ever registering or signing up until recently.  I'm a huge retro fan and collector and feel a kinship with others like me.

Been really great to interact with folks who are as passionate as I am about retro gaming... especially of course... INTELLIVISION!!  :)

EPYX was one of my favorite game companies back in the day for ColecoVision!  Pit Stop & Temple of Apshai being at the very top of my list.  I was absolutely OBSESSED with Pit Stop!  I logged and kept track of EVERY Pit Stop game I ever played!!!!! (see below).  I typed up sheets and kept records by hand.  I even wrote a letter to Epyx asking about the game and they wrote me back! (below).   My question to them was WHERE WAS THE TEMPLE!?!?!   I could never find it in the game and couldn't figure out how to beat it.  All the California Games, etc. I had on my Apple IIc.

So to answer your question.... HELL YES!!!!

Not something we are working on at this very second... but something I would like to see available around launch.  Huge fan.

Closet colecovision fan, I like that.  :)  Yeah Epyx were epic back in the day, on many different consoles and PC.  You find a way to get some of those old classics onto the Amico and that surely won't hurt. There are a lot of Epyx fans out there!

OMG! Those artifacts are amazing! Those score sheets are brilliant and incredible that they lived this long!  Those types of sheets either printed or digital for couch friends and leagues, is something I would love to see come back!  I loved the letter from Epyx and yes just like you I was obsessed with Pitstop!  The tires changing colors until they burst, the cars zipping by on the top of the screen, reminding you that you are falling behind while you work your crew to change tires and refuel, hoping not to overfill and blow your tank for a punishingly long refill! Ha ha

Jumpman was so simple that my brothers and sisters were addicted to playing it, knowing they can do better next time!  That straightforward game play really was the secret sauce that was so addictive to guys and girls alike..

Just you wanting Epyx on the Amico makes me so happy!  I loved that company, from the box art to the games..  I mean I think everyone has Impossible Missions.."Another visitor...stay awhile....stayyy foreverrrrr!"  burned into their brains here.

Epyx games always had a unique look and more importantly had this crazy polished game play.. The way the cars moved, the spy moving about, jumpman leaping from those rogue bullets...so great!

I am glad you are as much as a Epyx fan as I and I am sure many others on this board.

YES!  I can confirm that we will have physical media!  I just can't comment on the "type" right now as we are still in the patent process.  Trust me... it's SUPER COOL!!  :)

Although we won't be putting a cartridge slot on the new machine (I could and would if it was super cheap... but it's actually quite expensive) but if a 3rd party person wants to do a cart slot as an "add-on" that hooks up USB... I think that would be super cool and we would totally support it if it passes our quality control, licensing, etc.

But if you love carts... we have a nice surprise coming next year when we make some announcements.  :D

This is the confirmation that I've been waiting for, thanks @Tommy Tallarico! I'm so happy that we will be able to enjoy these new games coming out on the Amico in the future just like I'm still able to play the games that were released 40 years ago on the Intellivision. 🙂

All the new consoles have so many digital only games that expire when the servers eventually shut down. So many games have been lost forever never to be played again. 😞

Unless you count handheld units.  And people that have multiple PS3's and PS4's (Or MS equivalent), with extended storage.  Nobody is gonna come into your house and delete DOOM, in the middle of the night. LOL

I'll add to the conversation and list some games not mentioned I think should be on the Amico:

...

Tron - If Tommy can get the license from Disney, I would love to see a port of the arcade game that has not appeared on any home console (as far as I know - and speaking of firsts)!

You know I always thought Apple were spoilsports for not allowing apps that encouraged you to throw your phone so the accelerometers could be used for game play. Maybe one of their pending patents is a throwable controller that boomerangs back to you. That'd be the ultimate Tron controller. :D

p.s. The Tron arcade games were available for the home console on the first generation of Xbox Live Arcade, FWIW.

Please let it be data crystals! We need our Star Trek/Babylon 5 technology now. :)

Seriously though, wild guess: some sort of induction-based media, like a streaming RFID chip.

That's what I am expecting, since the controllers seem to already charge through induction.

I'm just hoping that Nurmix will not be in the trailer playing games. I don't need to see that asshat smiling away while he plays. 😂😂😂

My favorite Epyx game, which was coded in basic. I had the Atari 8-bit version (on tape), and spent so much time with a friend trying to see who could build a monster that could survive longest. The manual was incredible, with tongue in cheek writing style, cool artwork, color coded player aid charts, and maps of the four different cities. Good times!

Mr. T, what about including some kind of non-network-requiring, but internet-updateable, mega demo that shows off the hardware capabilities maybe visualizing a users music catalog? Maybe an “attract mode” of certain games playing to music? Something that nods to the days when “Eurodemos” were big? Since the Amico catalog will be highly curated, I think there is value in marketing on the console especially if it is configurable in some way by the user.

i remember one of the 3D0’s fun things was it’s funky CD player.

@popsicle that's Mail Order Monsters no?  That was a great game.

I hope many of the Epyx titles can be moved to the Amico platform, as well as some Accolade and early Brøderbund titles like Lode Runner, Raid on Bungling Bay... etc.

@Tommy Tallarico pretty cool assortment of ancient gaming records... my buddy and I used to race like madmen with Pit Stop II, good times back then.  I was that same way with Computer Ambush for the C64.  Games back then did that to you.  It's what made them that much better.  As for the Colecovision, I missed out on that system.  I have one now I'm my collection, but I was a C64 guy back then.  I hope you guys look back to both systems to recreate some of those classics like B.C.'s Quest, Bruce Lee, Shinboi, Impossible Mission...etc.

I really enjoy what you bring to the table!

Is it just coincidence that the first two and last two letters of tommy's surname spell out the adopted word for that fictional box thing discussed at length in another thread?
