With all this talk of Murder Hornets going around, I think it might be a good time to consider re-imagining this original Intellivision classic. Buzz Bombers!!

Hopefully, this game is actually on the list.

Mine is still at my parent’s in the box.  The box isn’t in the best of shape, no inserts anymore, but all the pieces are there.  I fired it up a few years ago and it still worked.  Loved that game!

Hopefully, that game can be reimagined into an Amico game. Love that game and can’t wait for the new version. Return to Dark Tower.

The murder hornets can be the new enemy if this game gets re-imagined.

I was thinking about Trip Hawkins. He has had many accomplishments in the gaming world (let’s not talk about the 3DO) but he is too old to fit the criteria and I don’t think he retired 10 years ago ! I’m not even sure if he is retired now or not. Also he is too old to have grown up with intellivision. Oh well 😜

I just watched the first Xbox Series X gameplay reveal.

I honestly didn't see much difference with the current generation. These companies have clearly lost the wow factor that was such a big thing in the 80s, 90s and early 2010s. And this will be more of an issue with each new generation.

Also, remember when video game news used to talk about the way a game plays instead of a sub-par The Walking Dead-ish story or how you can personalize your genitals?

And yeah, I was a huge Sony fan from 1997 to 2007 but I don't get all the fuzz with The Last of Us. It looks like a decent movie, but... as a game? Do you really want to play to another 3rd person shooter? I was tired of this genre after playing 10 minutes of Hitman in 2001.

So yeah, back to the guessing game! Uh... Andy Gavin?

It's a lot like the cell phone market these days. Do you really need the latest $1000+ phone. I use to upgrade every year or so but the upgrades now are very incremental and they buy you little in the day to day use of the phone. I am currently using a 3 year old LG V20 which I use very hard for business and it does everything I need it to and more. And the best thing is it is the last of the high end phones to have a removable battery - what a concept, I can go from 0% battery to 100% battery in about 60 seconds.

Check out the haters lying and trying to convince consumers not to buy Amico.  This is how unhinged these folks have become.  :)

Funny that they said they owned and played the console for a few days before returning it (yes... they really are that DUMB).

Do me a favor... leave a comment about what you all think of Amico.

Thanks!

Oh! Mah! Gawd!

What if the hornet venom contains a cure for Coronavirus, but nobody bothers to look?

Kind of like Sean Connery stumbling on the cure for cancer in the rainforest, looking at plant species, but it took Lorraine Bracco to figure it out that it was the ants! Then she became Tony Soprano's shrink and we still got cancer. 😪

Just finished watching the XBOX Series X trailers.

Some absolutely BEAUTIFUL games!

... and personally wouldn't be interested in playing a single one of them.

Although I've always felt that there should be more dripping alien penises in gaming.... so they didn't disappoint there.

:D

Well thats on my not to do list. I've been in the last year more and more getting tired of all the violence and horror games. And the Amico jist further pits me in this mindset. Nearly all of my friends are like me. When it comes to entertainment ots no violence no sex no language of any sort. When I get the Amico I will likely sell nearly 100 jist on the mission statement

Sadly the only one I might be interested in is the 1930 illustration style "Call of the Sea", the game which *least* needs to be run on a state of the art machine. In the other games you can tell the graphics have taken a step up but that is like trying to judge a cake by how fancy the icing looks. May look great but sometimes the cake is basically saw dust & powered sugar and costs $60 for a taste.

Yeah... I LOVED the look of Call of the Sea.  Was my favorite one by far.

But then just started thinking of all the time it would take to play, search around, figure out the controls, etc. and didn't feel excited as I should have.  I'd want new gameplay ideas... not 1st person shooters or driving games.  Would love to see innovation in simple GAMEPLAY and DESIGN as opposed to just graphics.

But definitely want to try that one out and would keep a an open mind.

The law of diminishing returns has definitely set in. I think it has been since Playstation 3.

Gone are the days when there was a Wow Factor when graphics made a major quality jump from Nintendo 8 bit to Sega Genesis, or 2600 to Colecovision.

Hey That's My Fish! We have that one. Like to play it once in a while with the kids, but it's kind of a pain to set up (cough, cough, Amico, cough). It'd be neat to see this as part of a 'modern board game compendium' with other really light and quick board games -

Las Vegas - 2-5 player dice roller. Roll all of your dice, and place matching dice in a 'casino' until your dice are gone. Amount of dice at end wins the point value (cards that are dealt at the start of each). Players that tie are cancelled, and can't win. This often leads to strange upsets, and adds strategy to where to place your dice. The thought of 'dice chuckers' with the Amico controller is exciting!

Raj - 2-5 players card game. My wife found this game in a garage sale for $1.00. Turns out to be one of the go to games I introduce to non-gamers. Everyone gets 15 cards numbered 1-15. There are 15 tiles 1 through 10 and -1, -2, -3, -4, and -5. These are face down at the start. Each round flip one over and each player chooses a card to play, revealed at the same time. The high cards takes the tile, and ties are cancelled. Simple, but incredibly fun! Looks like it has been published under many different names. So easy to implement this on the Amico controller. Simply have a grid of 15 numbers and you select one that is removed after you pick it. The tiles could be beautifully displayed on the main screen, with themes for different tile sets to unlock.

Incan Gold (aka Diamant) - plays up to 8. Each turn, players play one of two cards - keep exploring or go back to camp - again revealed simultaneously. This is a push your luck game. As cards are turned over in the 'temple' treasures or hazards show up. Players split treasures equally, with remainders staying on the path. If one person heads back, they keep all of the treasure they earned plus all that was left on the path. If two of the same type of hazard shows up all players still exploring get nothing! Another game that is fun to play but kind of annoying to operate, with the constant dividing and passing out of little treasure pieces during play.

Let us know all about your first multiplayer Crokinole happening!

Never played any of the games you mentioned but they all sounds really fun and would for sure be great on Amico.

I might be missing something, but I see it as a flaw on GameStop’s part (or any store) that allows reviews of unreleased products in the first place.

GameStop decided to just turn off all the "reviews" for now considering the console isn't out yet.

:)
