I am throwing my SWAG out as John Romero, co-founded of id Software and designer of Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Quake, etc.

That’s a good guess 😎

Romero has been big in the industry this last decade helping VR. Was with Occulus til recently IIRC

I think that was the other id Software John - John Carmack. For some reason I went to the two id Johns as my first thought and Carmack has stayed in the industry a bit too much I thought to match so I went with Romero - but I think he lives in Ireland or something now, so maybe not too likely a candidate.

word scramble the name... No one post a reply to what it may be so we all get the surprise.  If correct, we can figure it out and you get the admiration of the people in the forum.

Just finished watching the XBOX Series X trailers.

Some absolutely BEAUTIFUL games!

... and personally wouldn't be interested in playing a single one of them.

Although I've always felt that there should be more dripping alien penises in gaming.... so they didn't disappoint there.

:D

Early reviews look promising:

Graphics: 10

Story: 7.5

Music: 8

Gameplay: 5

Replayability: 3

No. of Dripping Alien Penises: 28.5

Critics are raving,

”I was perplexed. Then aroused.  Then ashamed.  Then frantically trying to clear my browser history but Google remembers in its advertising suggestions.  It remembers..” - IGN

”I just need a hug and to reassess my life choices right now” - Kotaku

”Miyamoto does the best alien penises” - NintenBro Monthly

”If you didn’t want your child emotionally traumatized by drippy extraterrestrial penisi, just turn on parental controls and stop trying to shield what I like with your puritanical ‘parental conveniences‘.  Ugh, gamer rage.” - Name Withheld, Completely Uncensored Codcast

@RetroAdvisoryBoard Coincidentally, I am reading one of the Space Quest fake magazines and the jokes are just like that.

If anyone reading this liked the message above and hasn't played Space Quest 4 or 5, do it. You won't regret it. Oh, and make sure you get a copy of the fake magazine that comes with each game.

GameStop decided to just turn off all the "reviews" for now considering the console isn't out yet.

Seems reviews aren't fully turned off...

Yo!,

Just wanted to let everyone know that today we hired an absolute game industry LEGEND as our Managing Director of Intellivision.  The game industry and press are gonna FREAK when they find out who is helping to work on Amico now!  Talk about a mic drop moment!

He's a friend who contacted me a few weeks ago.  He's been retired for over 10 years (yet still a young guy) and didn't think anything would ever get him out of retirement... until he saw what we were doing with Amico.  He was just calling to congratulate me on everything and how passionate he was about the entire concept behind Amico and how he's been banging the same drum since the 90's! (i.e. bringing people together and reaching a wider audience).  Him and his brother grew up playing Intellivision and it's the inspiration behind his gaming career and one of the most famous gaming products on the planet.  I said why don't you come and work with me on it!  He was blown away by the idea.  This is a guy who doesn't do things for money... but out of sheer passion.  By the next morning after speaking with his finance, he was all in and ready for the adventure!

The bad news is that I can't tell anyone who it is right now as we're putting together a big press release about it which should be out over the next few weeks.

But WOW! WOW! WOW!  Even hardcore gamers aren't gonna believe this one.  :)

@RxScram & @nurmix know who it is... I'm pretty sure they are over the moon and are both extremely ecstatic and impressed... but I'll let them talk about it in their own words (without giving any hints of who it is!!)

Score another BIG point for Intellivision today!!

Can't wait to share this info with the rest of the world!

I'm going to say Don Daglow.

I'm going to guess Mike Morhaime one of the original Blizzard Entertainment founders.

Lost Vikings or a Trine game would be great on the Amico.

So I keep hearing names being tossed around.  I look them up and they dont seem to be a good match.   Clues

1 this person has a fiancee

Many mentioned are married.

2 its a person the trolls will recognize.

Trolls are often younger not always but many are and probably wont know noland bushnell.  Of which is married.

3 Hes been retired for around 10 years.

This can be very difficult to think about.  10 years doesn't mean much because a successful person in this industry can retire at a young age.

Take John Vechey coowner of Popcap they sold it for $650 million with a 100 million in EA stock. Hes in his 30s. So when you bring up names keep that in mind. Tommy did say hes still young.

Second guess would be another Blizzard founder Frank Pearce. I found a few articles with him referencing being a fan of Intellvision.
Pretty sure it's someone from Blizzard because they would be close in that area and Tommy has brought them up before in interviews.

well my guess looks to still be married so its likely wrong, but they should still look to get this guy for mentoring:). If you want to take down Nintendo why not get the guy that almost did.

Tom Kalinske

Kalinske also worked at Mattel during the 1970s and 80s.

Like I said, if its not him, Tommy should pick his brain anyway.  The guy's resume is unreal, and he's even been dealing with the chinese children edu-game market lately.

With all this talk of Murder Hornets going around, I think it might be a good time to consider re-imagining this original Intellivision classic. Buzz Bombers!!

Following that pattern since the mid 80's.

Shouldn't it be:

        Murder Hornets

Super Pro Buzz Bombers

Now with RAID-R screen.
