Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

I was digging through some crap I have hoarded up, and found a bunch of comics/doodles that my son and I (I helped with the spelling/verbiage) played around with a few years ago when he was 10 or so.  Found one based on a conversation/event that happened at a diner one day, and it reminded me of the recent interview with Tommy and Tony when they were talking about how the passion in their voices come across as angry, defensive, and aggressive (or something like that), so I thought I'd share in case you guys get the same giggles out of it.

I have officially hit "stalker territory" in searching this person out.  This game is fun, but definitely not casual.  Need Amico now.

The thing with this guy is that he's the CEO of a very successful company. 🤑

Xbox Live Arcade was great. A definite win for Intellvision if it turns out to be true.

To Tommy and those interested.  Some of us on Facebook have been discussing a mass unboxing at launch. Obviously its hard to pull that off when people will likely get theirs at different times.  But maybe we could come up with a collection of people that can send in their unboxing and then could be used for a future ad. Open for input.

What I'm hung up on is the phrasing about how he created one of the biggest video game products in the world.  "Products" is an odd word there.

You know... people do get divorced and start to date again, thus gaining a new fiancee over time. Old news isn't always updated by the minute.😇

I can take a photo & post it here. That would be the easiest way. Chances are we'd be in lockdown again in Corona Wave 2 by then, According to Dr. Fauci.

I know, and when I suddenly found myself trying to figure that out, it's when I decided I was officially entering stalking territory. (I'm pretty sure he's still married)  So probably not him....

Okay, regardless if he's not the current topic, when are you going to get J to join IE?  All the time spent looking him up today just further cemented how great a guy he is and how great a fit he would be to IE. Make it so!  🙂

I play asteroids through mame with an old four button game pad.  It works great.  With Amico, you have the disc for left/right rotate, touchscreen for fire, and the two shoulder buttons for thrust and hyperspace.  I'd put thrust on the touchscreen shoulder button, but I have a feeling they'll put it on the disc shoulder button.

Edit:

In their video they did not show the original arcade asteroids.  The Amico game has a phase where the rendering is vector graphics.
