Quick clarification question on the paper golden tickets because I saw some a question on Reddit and FB. I think the paper tickets get sent out with (or after) T-Shirt orders (got several to prove prove that) but are they also being sent out for console pre-orders on GameStop / Fig or in other situations?

No.  Those are just for direct merchandise sales on our website.  Program will be closing very soon and then we will start to pick the winners!

Tommy, I now that a 10-10-2020 launch date is very, very important to you but if the Amico can not launch as planned, is there any specific future release date for the Amico or will you just release as soon as possible.

It would really depend on how much more time we would need.  Would LOVE to get it out before Christmas of course... but don't want to get completely lost in the Christmas shuffle if it's TOO close (i.e. mid December).  May be better and easier to wait a few months after Christmas when we could certainly make a lot more NOISE because not much else would be going on in the industry.

Wow I'm honored thanks Tommy.  Love to do an interview.

I had a question and maybe its been asked but I thought I would ask anyways.

In light of all the different owners that have made bad decisions with Atari, which really saddens me. Do you see a world where in the future not if but when, because this is how confident I am in the Amicos success that Intellivision could one day buy out Atari?  Or would you guys even want too?

It would be quite the story!  I wouldn't be against it... but Intellivision would need to become super huge first.

Are there any exergaming type games for the Amico expected at launch or year one besides bowling and cornhole? Exergaming is mostly what I think of when I think of the Wii, besides the air racing wheel.

I think a few others we have planned could fit under that umbrella.

The disc needs to be pushed down at it's edge and touch the contacts to register anything.  So a spinner attachment won't work as expected.

Yeah.  It wouldn't work on the disc.

It could however work as a suction attachment for the touchscreen!

At first I thought I’d be digital-only. But I can now see myself getting some physical versions for games that I loved from the past like Cloudy Mountain or Burger Time. If the boxes have ties to the original artwork, it’ll be an even easier decision.

You're going to be saying that until October 9th, aren't you?

ETA Prime doesn't really do interviews, but he does have some great videos and he does like retro. I think a chat between ETA/Tommy would be a good outreach. Zero Marketing Dollars spent. I don't think he has said anything in any of his videos about the Amico. Plus 450k subscribers would send some positive vibes out there. Probably give some additional subs for the OEB, Atari Creep and the growing voices.

I'd add to that list: LON TV  and Leo Leporte over at TWIT. Both would be good as well. Leo has a ton of many industry people on his various shows. Not really into the gaming space, but the word of mouth to all the non-gamers would be fun to see.

And a big thumbs up for a Retroflag Intellivision Case!

Yes, I agree.  Prime is a massive help and I have used MANY of his videos when I was building and configuring my Retropie image.  He's very informative, and has a good voice for making tutorial videos.

Not sure he would do an interview style video, but I'll bet he'll do an unboxing and total tear-down about the inner workings of the Amico as he has done with many other systems.

Tommy's gotta get all that out there... the more Intellivision merch that can be had, the more attention the system will get.  I mean I wouldn't want to see it done like Atari is doing, but certainly stuff on Target shelves like t-shirts, Numbskull keychains, socks... whatever...

Put the brand name out there.

Or on a nice T-Shirt with Box Art.

Wouldn't That Be Something,The Game. The pic on the box is a bunch of Easter eggs/hints as to what would be something.

I was thinking about that. I wondered if the stylus points circular motion involved might be hard on the screen with all the back and forth. Will there be screen protectors like for smart phones?

I asked Tommy a while back and it was no. Plus these are not plexiglass but an acrylic material so they should scratch as easily.

Im cool with it,  also brings up the past games that could be reimagined. Saw buzz bombers on here and went off looking for it ended up finding a lot of 12 games for 48 bucks and buzz bombers and 5 other games that I didn't had in ky collection.  So keep them coming

I'm needing more people to interview.

Anyone in the forum know of anyone?

It could be yourselves or some you know or just someone you think would give an interesting take on the Amico (good or bad).

I'm trying to keep the doors open for all comers.

If possible, do an interview with Mad Max, love that guy.

Maybe they could use a rolling ball bearing rather than a stylus point on the spinner. Anyhow, its a $60 controller, not a $800 smart phone, unless you use a smart phone...

I like them as it's a good reminder of the old days and could help remind us of which ones are great and need the re-imagined treatment!

No reason.  I just like to put up videos here and there.  But if it's a problem I'll stop.  It seems like most everyone here likes the videos.

It's not a problem but they should be in a separate thread called intellivision gameplay videos, for example.
