That was a good interview Tommy.

Thanks for posting!

I hope everyone here will show some love for Lukas and Subscribe to his channel.  Really cool that someone his age is so interested in retro gaming.  He's a great young man with a lot of potential.  He was very respectful and excited to hear more all throughout the interview.  It was great to speak with him!

I didn't want to mention anything about the interview beforehand in here because the handful of obsessed haters with their multiple fake accounts would have tried to influence him not to speak with me (like they did in the comments of his first Amico video).

I had a GREAT time speaking with him and by the end we gained another Amico supporter!!  Hopefully we'll be seeing @Lukasgr88 stop by more often in here to join in the fun and positivity!  And always great to hear perspectives from different demographics (maybe someday we'll even get a female in here!!)   :)

I thought it was really cool that after finding out more information about Amico that he is now looking forward to it.  Will this happen on a worldwide scale?  Even for the teenage demographic?  Once folks his age hear about what it's really about and play it... will they also want one as well?  Time will tell I guess, but it was so nice to see Lukas change his perspective after getting more information.  He wasn't afraid to change his mind... which makes him more mature than some of "those" YouTubers.   :)

I got a chance to speak with Lukas' mom for a few minutes after the interview as well.  I told her that she's going to enjoy playing games with Lukas this year... and that she'll even be able to kick his butt in some of them.  :)

Please give it a watch and support the channel.

@OEB_Pete or @Michael Garvey:  You should have him on some of your shows!!

funny stuff,  buy as far as marketing experience I think we all still shake our heads at what gets through these experts... for me, I still shake my head at every Ford " Super Duty" commercial.  I mean naming your truck after something that sounds to the ear like a Superhero turd...  SMH.....   at least they didnt use the catch phrase from Vacation...  You think you hate it now, wait 'til you drive it.

One of my favorites.  This is real!   Ya just can't make this stuff up!

Way to go Nintendo!  Good job.

Can I have number 7 ? 😛 On that interview you did the other day, you said you might add some funny comments like “666 with devil 👿 horns” . Please don’t give me that one or my wife won’t let it in the house !!!! 😂 but a comment along with the number and signature would be cool 😎 . You need to come up with 2600 comments in they case ! Sounds exhausting !!! 😜

My CFO Nick has already started doing the math on what it's going to cost the company in my time just to do these!

:)

If it takes me 30 seconds to sign and number.  That is 1,300 minutes = over 21 hours!!!

Then I have the 10,000 VIP cards and 2,600 posters!

This reminds me of intellivision "hypnotic lights".  It wasn't anywhere near being finished but it was inspired by rubiks cube.

Oh yeah!  @nurmix put that one on my Cuttle Cart!  I remember trying to figure it out once... but never could.

Is it finished?  Any idea what the hell you're supposed to do???

Nice video.  You know what impresses me the most about Tommy?  You can expect someone trying to spread the word by appearing on a lot of podcasts and youtuber vids, but Tommy does the little guys starting out and, this is the biggest, it's not a "listen I got two mins TOP!", nope we get over 1 hour of these videos.  That's passion right there and respect to the guy/gal on the other side of the monitor too.

Keep doing what you are doing Tommy, thanks for being "you" and don't change a damn thing with your passion-based approach to your endeavor.

I don't have time now but come this fall I'm retiring and at the many suggestions of friends/family, I'm likely starting my own video podcast of sorts based on classic videogaming, pinball and VR.  Here's hoping we can make it happen when the time comes!

Thanks.  I really appreciate it.  It means a lot.

I'd LOVE for you to start a video podcast!  I've always really enjoyed your posts and perspectives and think it would be a pretty awesome channel!

I believe it would be exceptionally hard for an established gaming console company to get out of the fast lane and pivot toward what IE is doing.  Feel it would alienate their current market base, so think something like this needs to come from the ground up from an “outside” entity, like IE is doing. Mix this with how hard (and expensive) it is to get where IE is today and think you have the answer.

Yes, this is pretty much the only thing that I could think of, although I wasn't specifically thinking of companies that currently make consoles. The closest thing that I can think of is the Sega Pico, but I'm not sure if that's even still in production right now. These companies have their target audiences, of course, but some other existing company like Amazon could probably do it if they decided that they wanted to.

Cause this shit is hard!

And you need to have an incredible team of pros with big balls, lots of passion, loads of confidence and major connections to even think about it.

Yep. See above!

If such a thing was to happen, that would be quite interesting. I wonder how the haters would respond if such a thing was to happen.

Speaking of Amazon, I thought they were making their own console or something a while ago. Not sure what happened with that, though.

I heard Amazon made their own video game.  There's gameplay footage on YouTube.

Is that what it was? I thought that I read they were going to make an actual console or something. Maybe I'm wrong, though. Still, if they choose to invest in Intellivision instead, I suppose they don't really need to make their own system. They're more of a tech company than most people realize, so it makes sense for them to make video games, and I don't see why they couldn't make their own Origin/Steam/whatever clone for PC games aside from the fact that most people seem to hate everything that isn't Steam for whatever reason.

It's called Crucible.  It's a multiplayer game.

Great video. I like some of the concepts that you guys were discussing. Especially the part were you guys were brainstorming some updated game ideas. The guy doing the interview did a great job of keeping it going.

I too am curious about the remake of Yar's Revenge. I was thinking it could make for a fun multiplayer game. Imagine, one person controls the ship while the other player maneuvers the little dot thing, trying to lure him to a spot were they can shoot them with the spinny thing from the base.

I also loved the idea of Berzerk coming back. Multiplayer co-op would be fantastic.

Interesting... I'd never heard of it before. Strange that I hadn't, but I guess that's how it is.

I saw a Youtube comment where someone said they thought Earthworm Jim would be a game to attract hypercasuals, but I've got to be honest. When I think of hypercasuals, it's people who were too busy for consoles and TV in their 20 and 30s, like I was, and never heard of Earthworm Jim or Duke Nukem until I got into retrogaming three years ago and then it was mostly Atari and ColecoVision, which is what I had as a teen. When Lukas talked about his mom's boyfriend in his 40's not playing consoles since the 2600, that was pretty close to what happened with me. Games I played 1999-2004 were one's I could play on my PC at work during lunch or before going home or going out at night. I think I had American McGee's Alice, Doom, a Microsoft Pinball collection and a couple others. 2005-2010 I was working 18 hours a day and didn't game at all. In the 90s when I was poor, I just played the free games like Tetris and Minehunter, except I'd play Mario Kart with my nephew when I'd visit home when he was 8-10.

I think those games are a big attraction for gamers and retrogamers and hypercasuals will enjoy them a lot, but I don't know that it will mean much to them. Although, all I hear about in the greater gamer scene regarding the Amico is about Earthworm Jim.

This reminds me of the movie "Singles", from the early 90's. Matt Dillon's character sang a song titled, "Touch Me I'm Dick".
