The moon patrol update is excellent. Apart from the already mentioned improvements, the AI is perfect, and some of the enemy bombs are guided. Difficulty curve is perfect (died at checkpoint s)

gameplay is slick and physics are how they should be.

Cool.  The screen controls for this type of game aren't great.  Which is why it cracks me up when folks question why we don't just do games for mobile.  This is a perfect reason!  The game plays so much better on a big screen with a real controller (that, when used for certain areas MUST have a touch screen as well as the buttons/disc.  And then what about couch co-op?  Couldn't do that with everyone in the room and on their phones with crappy screen only controls.   Anyway... sorry... got off topic. 

Yeah, Moon Patrol is one of those games where you learn the level and get better each time you'll play.  The fact that you even want to try it again tomorrow is probably a good sign.  I know there's been a TON of games where I've put it down after 5 minutes and told myself I'd never play that again!

No worries!!  No one was more disappointed than I was... so it's totally understandable.  But really... I was more overjoyed at the thing I thought we couldn't put in... actually got put back in!

It was a great event without it... but an even more spectacular one WITH it.

I know everyone is probably going to ask me what it was exactly.  But after you watch it... you'll probably figure it out.

We're focusing more on simple to learn mechanics, fun with others (no matter what your skill level).  But we definitely have some cool 2D platformers... might even be showing 1 or 2 of them for the first time ever... tomorrow!

I just checked their channel and found an explanation: apparently, 4 or 5 years ago they were hitting it big time with Just Dance Kids! gameplay videos. About 30 of those reached 1-2M views and other 30 200-500K.

For some reason, they stopped doing those videos and for the last 2 years none of their videos reaches 500 views.

Wait...it's been delayed until April 2021?

Was hoping to get this around christmas

Oh well, looking forward to the event.

And btw, I love the Moon Patrol demo, even though the touch controls fails to fire and jump at times

The 2021 delay has not been confirmed officially, it's just a webpage that was later taken down.

I understand your wanting to play it sooner, I too share that feeling. If indeed the launch date has been changed, at least April is usually pretty uneventful for a lot of people. That is, it's uneventful here in the states. Plus the weather is still pretty crummy for some. Otherwise, for me, April is just tax time... and the name of an ex, which I must "blissfully" be reminded of each year.

I thought the same thing. Guess the Kid is to too grrrr for Just Dance Kids now. Also, thanks for getting the zip-up hoodies in. It looks cool.

I would prefer february 2nd when it's Winter. April we are beginning to play outside. It would have been so cool to have Amico during Winter when it's cold outside. (Particulary in Canada).😄

Around an hour and 15!  We filmed a ton of different stuff (not knowing what we could or couldn't announce at the time).  The times varied from 45 mins - 1:30!  But COVID has changed the way licensors prefer to release info. 

Then one of the biggest things came in last minute (first was in... then was out.. then was in again) so we decided to hold back one day to get the biggest impact for the audience we knew would be watching (i.e. retro & gamers, press/media, developers/publishers).  It's pretty much the biggest thing in the entire event and I was gutted when we thought we couldn't get it in.  Then, late last night we got the approval... at that point we tried to re-render the entire event then get it up on YouTube.  It's a big file because it's at 60fps!  (Yay for gameplay!)  Unfortunately it would have been delayed by a few hours after 10am and out of respect for our European friends (which is obviously a very important territory for us and LOTS of folks registered from there)... the team decided to hold it and focus on the Moon Patrol app today.

So sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.  It was a decision we didn't make lightly.  But we believe it was the right one given the amount of time & energy (and major folks we had watching) for the event.

CNET is streaming it live and one of the biggest newspapers in the U.S. will be doing something with us as well.

Thank you for being so Transparent. I'm sure we'll know what the big reveal will be. We'll also agree that the day wait was worth it. I'm also sure that you will be back here when you can to give us all the juicy details.  This has been an amazing ride so far. And it feels like we've all been on a long road trip together. Tons of fun most of the time. But a few bad moments here and there.  Then I think.. Wait. We are just at the first part of our Journey!

We had set up way too many super important media folks to watch it live.  So not having it in the presentation would have impacted the strength of the overall.  A lot of these big national folks won't do a follow up story a week or two later.  We only have their attention right now.  So this was for the "greater of the good".  A team of really smart PR, Marketing & Branding folks decided early this morning.  I think it was the right decision given the circumstances.

I've gone down the rabbit hole watching Amico videos.  Just saw a guy light up a joint and give his rambling thoughts about the delayed event and Amico in general (among other non-Amico related things) 😄

 I let my 20 year old daughter play the demo. She's not much of a gamer. She likes them. But not really into them. Mind you she has not ever seen the original game. She picked up the controls fairly quickly. Didn't stop playing for a good 10-15 minutes. Announced that she'd like it better with "real controls".   But kept trying to get a little farther into the level. Asked to play it later on last night.  I think that is a good sign!
