Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

This is a homebrew.  Could be a fun game for Amico.  It's like Kaboom but with food.

I highly agree with this.  I do hunt deer and I firmly agree that hunting should not be done for sport or just to kill.  I do not go out just to “bag a big one”.  I do it to put food on the table.  While everyone was looking for their red meat in the supermarkets at the beginning of COVID, my freezer was stocked with the most organic meat you can get.  I also do all the processing myself and feel if you are going to hunt and take the life of an animal you need to give it the respect of doing the whole process start to finish.

I know many do not feel the same way about hunting and I respect that.

I have no idea what Bot bombs mean , but yes, I got hit again, I have never seen any of my Amico video have 22 dislikes within 24 hours  , weird right.  They are so diligent in their hate.  I think I need to do more Amico  Videos

I've played all 3 of those!

Oddly, I found the tilting marble game easier to play backwards (move the marble from Finish to Start).

Great announcement! I may have to check Roblox out sometime. Never got into it.  Out of all that coolness.. It occurred to me: @Tommy TallaricoHow long does it take to dust all that stuff?!?!?!? And that was just a small section of all the hidden gems that are all over the house.

Geez, it's almost like people have nothing else to do because they "feel" it's only a 2D/2.5D platform. If they are proven wrong, life might not be the same for them. We'll blame the picture of Mario Kart on the thumbnail that got their dander up.

Is this DLC for roblox? Is Tommy allowed to do DLC, even if it's for other platforms? 😀 Or does every rule have an exception?

If people still don't think Covid production woes are a thing - just check out the XBox launch "sold out" posts on Twitter and these tiny launch stock numbers for Best Buy Canada. Someone said their Walmart got 5 and they were presold (btw there are about 3500 Super Walmarts so if each got 5 that would be about 17,500). Going to be tight times for gamers interested in next gen.

Does anyone here know someone who cancelled their Amico founder's edition console? I'm not asking because I'm looking for one, I'm just curious.

As a hunter myself, i agree with all of the above. My reason differs again, pest elimination! Foxes, goats, pigs, rabbits. Introduced feral species. Feral dogs and cats also. Highly destructive to native species. Australia has the highest extinction rate in the world, and i have no problem putting any of the above down

It has been quite a while since it was talked about but Tommy said there were a handful of cancellation but they have a standing list of people on the waitlist (which I suspect is just a sheet of paper with CMart printed over and over again ).

@Tommy Tallarico I know “the guy” for this.  Haven't talked to him for nearly a year and was nice to catch up with him. Unfortunately for IE (and fortunately for him) he’s now working for Disney producing trailers and is happy there. Last I spoke with him he was doing the same for Fox, but he’s been one of the lucky ones to land a seat. Anyway, he is going to forward the above to someone he is recommending that may be available. I don’t know the guy he’s recommending, but if the guy I know is recommending him, I’d consider taking a look. I told my friend to reference “Starpaddler” and his name is Tim S.  Good luck on finding your candidate.

If this game comes to Amico, maybe the karma engine can make it easier by giving you more squares. Like if you lose one then gain another.  Also, it could have an easy mode for single player.  Since the karma engine won't work in single player mode.

I've been playing a lot of my older game consoles recently, and something just feels... off. 

In nearly every interview, Tommy usually makes the point that when you think about your best gaming experiences in your life, those were ones you shared with other people. The best experiences were when you played next to your friends. And that is exactly what is getting me about my older consoles. Golden Axe is one of my "comfort food" games, but playing it without your buddy next to you just makes it all feel flat. Even games that aren't so great (Altered Beast) are a lot of fun when playing together. Tommy is right. All the best experiences I've had with games were with other people. Modern games try so hard to replace that feeling by making you think you're getting that same experience, but the flashy graphics and long, drawn-out stories just don't make a good substitute. It's like going from eating healthy, organic food to overly processed food stuff with chemicals. It kinda seems the same at first, but the body can tell the difference.

On another note, I'm noticing that with the launch of the new Xbox, a lot of people are complaining about things Amico wants to fix. Things like "remember when you could take the console out of the box, plug it in, and it just worked?" or "remember when consoles would come with a game?" The funny thing is, something tells me that these same people would probably shrug off Amico even though it fixes the problems they are having.

If we can't get re-imagined versions for these, then perhaps the board games will do.

This looks cool.  I never saw this one.  I only knew about the regular Connect 4.

Another board game that has been mentioned before is Acquire. It's a tile-building game involving hotel chains and finance. When tiles run adjacent, then a merger or acquisition is forced between the adjoining hotel chains, so it's kind of a hybrid of Scrabble and Monopoly. It was originally a 3M Bookshelf game, which was subsequently absorbed by Avalon Hill, which was eventually Acquired by Hasbro.
