Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Recommended Posts

@Tommy Tallarico is busy working at the new Intellivision Headquarters (something about flooding in the Frog Bog conference room) so he asked me to post this announcement here for @Intellivision Master to celebrate over 1000 pages of post on AtariAge:

*Almost* All the Amico Secrets

Intellivision Entertainment is proud to announce a new special edition Amico:
The Atomic Edition!

The Atomic Edition was born from a slight mix-up by @RxScram, who used an old NASA interplanetary space probe parts supplier list by accident. The Atomic Edition features extended controller run time of the half-life of Plutonium 238 (approximately 87.7 years). Because of its unique power system the Atomic Edition doesn't have LEDs but instead has it has its own subtle continuous green glow. The Atomic Edition also comes with its owned wheeled, lead lined carrying case, which we recommend you keep the Atomic Edition in at all times when not playing.

New Hardware Feature!
To make our birthday & holiday announcements even more special, each and every Amico will feature built in pyrotechnics just like the ones used in the Video Games Live concerts! Watch your friend’s amazement as they blow out the candle on the Amico controller, Happy Birthday starts playing on your big screen TV and sparklers & fireworks shoot out from your entertainment center. Truly a birthday no one will forget!

New Games!
Several previously unannounced games are coming to the Amico! First is from our new partnership with Milton Bradley and their classic game, Connect Four.  But wait, we have added up to 8 way multiplayer, an *unlimited* playfield and are now proud to announce our Amico enhanced version of the game: Connect Four Thousand!
Enjoy nearly never ending game play, with each game sure to bring years of enjoyment for friends & family:

Next up is a collaboration with yet another new partnership – Hasbro! Deer Pong brings all of the family friendly fun and excitement of Beer Pong, just without the case of cheap beer obtained over the county line with a fake ID. Part of our edutainment series, this game will help prepare your kids for their #1 college activity.

Oregon Trail Licensing Update: Unfortunately we were not able to obtain the Oregon Trail license. It seems they don’t allow ports or spinoff to any other system, ever. Instead we are launching out own, totally unique, not based on any other game ever, historical edutainment exploration game:
Northwest Passage!

Who needs dysentery, fording rivers and broken down wagons when you can navigate frostbite, icebergs and polar bears instead? Northwest Passage will be coming to Amico Q4 of 2021

In an effort to bring even more nontraditional gamers to the Amico platform, we are excited to be partnering with Archie McPhee games for the very first electronic version of “The Crazy Cat Lady Game”! Using the unique Amico controllers, move across the board grabbing cats anywhere & everywhere you can. Already have a collar? No problem, it still musts be a stray and needs to be adopted before the other crazy cat ladies get to it. Land on the Catnip bonus square and send your cats into a frenzy, knocking the other players off of their squares and perhaps into the dreaded SPCA jail. Fun for 1 to 4 crazy cat ladies.

Build up your empire with Toilet Tycoon Deluxe, or watch as it all flushes down the drain. Using the Amico’s motion controls; plunge, scrub and flush you way to becoming a Toilet Tycoon! Imagine being able to clean a toilet when yours isn’t even dirty. Face the challenges, thrills and hopefully no spills in this exciting toilet simulation game.

A Fighting game is coming to the Amico! People said it would never happen but we are porting Tongue of the Fatman to the Amico, with all new 4 way multiplayer support. Normally fighting games don’t meet the Amico’s E10+ rating guidelines, but somehow there isn’t a rule again licking your opponents to death with a giant tongue. There probably will be after this comes out, but we are publishing this baby before then – so suck it ESRB!

Finally we have been saving the BIGGEST announcement for last. Pundits were mystified when Xbox architect J Allard joined the Intellivision team. The cover story was that he was working on simplifying the console experience. However today we can finally reveal the *actual* project he has been working on:
AmicoX Series X - THE WORLDS MOST POWERFUL CONSOLE!

Featuring *dual* 8 core x86, 5 gigahertz processors for a total of 32 threads, proprietary NVidia RTX 3099X graphics, 64 gigabytes of RAM and 2 terabytes of fast eMMC storage; the Amico Series X blows the competition away – literally, with no less than 4 turbo exhaust fans.

Experience Frog Bog in 16K resolution with real time ray traced reflection of the sky in each of the frog’s eyes. Play Moon Patrol at 480Hz refresh rate or Cloudy Mountain with 64K game textures. It is time to build on another extension onto your entertainment center and experience the Amico like you never have before with the:
AmicoX Series X!

@GrudgeQ you have no equal when it comes to Photoshop badassery.🍺 Have a beer on me.

I think @CurlyQ would have something to say about that - but thanks. Some of that stuff is real and a lot of sins were hidden with low res pictures & glows.

Possibly, but there's enough beer to go around. I just checked the beer fridge and it's well stocked.🍻😉

That Northwest Passage game actually sounds like a pretty damn good family style survival game.

I realize it was meant as a joke title, but seeing it could be done as a community couch game with unique retro-styled graphics to resemble an 80s looking "The Seven Cities of Gold", or "Oregon Trail", makes for an interesting concept.

It would be fun to have a unique title like this designed specific to the Amico from scratch with all the bells and whistles of a fun and interactive story line.

I showed that image to a daughter who is an Oregon Trail fan and the first thing she said is that she would play that.

That's not nice.  I thought we were friends, lol.  It might be time to bring back Atari Master.  Maybe I should set him free.  😈

I had to get my revenge after the 187th time you beat me to posting something here - not that I am keeping track, or am bitter or anything. 😜
