Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Heard from tonight's Amico All Access that Tommy is reasonably big in Brazil - and that IE was considering a Brazilian developer for their Soccer/Football game. So that got me wondering: any current plans for a release in Brazil? If so, how do you foresee bypassing the heavy import tax placed on electronics? (AKA the reason PlayStation consoles cost like $1200 over there)

@OEB_Pete and the rest of the bunch, was a good cast.  Thanks Tommy also for stoping by.  I usually try and listen in but am typically multitasking and don't get the opportunity to participate in the chat much.  My wife also seems to be getting into it a bit, as shes listened to parts of the last two and wanted to listen to tonights.  
 

Our son is back in town from college starting this upcoming Saturday, so will probably need to watch (listen) on rewind for a while.

Hey Tommy, can you make a quick PS5 vs XSX vs Amico loading times comparison?

(Assuming you have the PS5 and XSX and enough Amico games in an almost complete state to do that)

It would be cool to see how many seconds do each of the consoles take since you start it until you get to play.

I accidentally discovered one of them, possibly the only one: For PS5, Sackboy: A Big Adventure has 2-4 player offline co-op.

• Will there be a way to add memory to the Amico system?
• Is Sub Hunt coming to the Amico?
• Do you know yet the return policy on games?
• Will the screens on the controllers be used for local player data like picking pitches for baseball?
• Are there any games you will just be able to play on the controller screen?
• Will you be able to buy an RFID gift card for Amico games? (lots of discussion on this and a new way to possibly load games on your Amico)
• Any chance for an Indiana Jones game?

I mentioned this info to my saw because I noticed he purchased Sackboy for his PS5.

He says it's a great game with an awesome soundtrack,and he would love to play multiplayer with either myself,or his friends.

The holdup he stated was the second controller which costs $70.!

I like evil Pete.  He has that big head and talks funny.  He could be a giant boss in a space shooter on Amico.  Kind of like how big Galactus is.

If you're ever able to get the Marvel license, maybe a Silver Surfer game can come to Amico.  The original was only on NES.  Or maybe an X-Men game for Amico.

I just read this interview with XBOX president Phil Spencer that I thought was interesting and that people here may enjoy. 

Especially these parts...

Phil confirms the 2 month lead time to hitting store shelves.  Something I've been saying for over a year yet some people question.  

It takes 1 month to ship from China & go through customs.  The other month to manufacture as many as you can to fill up the ship! 

Considering one of the biggest corporations in the world are having obstacles and challenges this year, it's funny to me when idiots proclaim that COVID had nothing to do with our delay.

It's on our "to do" list for 2 - 3 years from now.  I have contacts with the Brazilian government (Video Games Live over the past 20 years has had a lot of Brazilian government support) and we are trying to figure some things out.

Just ordered some from their website. Virgils.com (reedsinc.com). Order was confirmed so I hope I get the right stuff, and don’t get bumped to November’s stock, which is ginger beer. 
 

I like me some root beer from time to time, and also love nutmeg, so curious to see how they are together (your chocolate is in my peanut butter). 
 

For not fancy meal times 1919 root beer on tap fits the bill. Root beer with vanilla based add ins are a safe bet for me also, although I like many types, including maple or honey.
