Yet another reason Amico will do well. The CEO has integrity. He's speaks the truth, not what he thinks you want to hear.  Rare and refreshing.

It's hard to describe, but this looks like the contact board for a touch sensor. Perhaps we'll get a closer look at how the controller works?

FPC cable for screen and touchpad.

I think the perfect soccer game for the Amico would be Haxball, an online free game that you can play 1 vs 1 up to 4 vs 4:

Only one action button, each player controls only one player on the screen, ball bounces off walls, all players are visible at all times, different playing field sizes to choose from...

However, I can't think of how the controller could be used in an unique way here.

After thinking about it, I think the Amico d-pad can be a great improvement to play this game compared to the way it has to be played today.

This game was created by a single guy from Argentina in 2010. Haxball is free, but it can only be played online and using the keyboard.

A potential Amico version would simplify the controls (improving passing and shooting) and give the game a new life with the offline modes and addition of a single player mode with AI.

Finally, the Amico version would give the creator of the game a well-deserved economical reward.

Sadly, I don't see this happening unless it's an unofficial homebrew release, because it's a soccer game (not so popular in North America) and has pure 2D, ultra-minimalistic, graph-like graphics.

I wanted to ask that question... For all the games that we suggest to make, will independent game designers be able to make games for the Amico?  I agree about the strict rules and that the games should be tasteful, fun and for all ages.  Taking that into account, rare arcade games like those that have been posted, fun board games...maybe sequals to original INTV games... New versions of old C64 and Atari 400/800/ST games... Would be great for independents to make.  I mean, IP already has quite a list going but I'm sure there are others that would be happy to make them as well.  Just look at the massive following behind the old 8-bit computers and consoles still making games to this day.

I remember it was mentioned a while back that it would be open to independent development, just wanted to know if that's still on the table.

That's a good question.  By the way, Tommy told me he's going to do all of my game requests/suggestions.  Just kidding.  I hope he considers some of my game ideas out of the 1,000 I gave him.  LOL.  🤣

Amico is a closed system.  The only way to get unauthorized games on it is if it's hacked/cracked.  Having said that pretty much all Amico games are programmed by independent developers.  A smaller, manageable game library with quality control will be one of the selling points of amico.

Game Idea.. not sure it has been done...

"Animals On Skis"

You pick your choice of animal to hit the slopes.

Use character traits for what you would imagine that animal would look like while skiing.

Example a giraffe could open it's legs bull legged style to go over short trees but has to duck when trees are a tad taller so he don't hit his head.

Rhinos would be like a rhino it a china shop. Watch that horn buddy!!

You get the gist.

I can think of many funny ways and things to do with Animals On Skiis!

Absolutely ! It’s actually possible to own the full library of Amico games without buying thousands of games which I plan on doing 😀

An added note about Couch Co-Op for this game... if you think about team options.

Certain animals may have attributes to make them better at certain times while skiing but others not so much.  Each has different Pros vs Cons.

So you can team say Dad & Son against Mom & Daughter... each having their own special animal.  Chose wisely so each member of the team can do special things that may help you win.  So choosing the right animal is important.

An elephant can use it's trunk to grab onto a tree and then go round and round and round REALLY fast to then sling shot faster down the hill once it lets go.... but time it right or you may shoot back uphill or off the slopes!

But if the elephant goes too slow.. he is too fat and sinks into the slushy snow.... Beware of that rotten scoundrel @Tommy Tallarico with a flame thrower making the course all slushy so you get bogged down in the snow.

Add human elements like that to alter the course... so your opponent can screw with the course to make your animals fail the slopes.

Add Gophers that pop up at bad times right on the slopes and trip you up... snakes that slither across the slopes... Boa Constrictor that drops out of trees and strangle you slowly as you head to bottom the the slope... hope you don't run out of air by the end or you topple over... and sure.. sharks and whales welcome on this course too.

No animal-fish-reptiles-insects is left out.

Buy new action packs to add these different creatures as you grow the game with more slopes to play on.

Endless adaptive oddball family fun.

I like the idea.. but since skiing is already a launch game and would be a little bit before a second skiing game I presume, what about:

same concept, but with animals on roller skates as a roller derby, bumping, speeding, avoiding obstacles and traps?

Kids would enjoy the playful characters, adults the balancing mechanics of different animals pluses and minuses.  Lends itself to team play and the screen would be perfect to play special items as obstacles/weapons.

Yup, I figured any variation of sports like skiing, roller skating, ice skating, roller derby!, bicycling, etc...

Imagine Roller Derby between a Rhino, Flamingo, Giraffe, Cat, and a Vulture.  That could be one crazy video game knocking your enemies out of the roller derby rink.

hehe

"Animals On ?" can be a whole series of crazy variants of games.

Yes.  We'll have news of something coming by the end of the year for sure.  We want 2 golf games initially.  One a little more serious and then a wacky mini-putt style.  We're talking to a number of different folks right now

Golf & Bowling are 2 very important sports for us!  We have an AMAZING and VERY experienced developer working on both.

In regards to Golf specifically though... we will have different variations of this sport.  Same with Football.  The differences would be that one version could be more arcadey and simple as opposed to more simulation.

Thanks!
