I want Shark! Shark! breakfast cereal.

There has been Baby Shark cereal this past year so this doesn't seem wildly crazy.

If the Amico version has those scary elements, won't that place the game in the E10 category? After all, we all know how scared children can get.

Those elements seem cartoonish enough to not warrant intense scrutiny IMHO.

I remember Tommy saying that physical media on Amico is 30% of the library.  Hopefully that could increase to say 50%.  I wouldn't be surprised if Tommy did in fact allow for more physical games on the Amico at some point.  Maybe the 30% was a place holder.

I would think it will depend on how popular and how well the first few physical medias do since doing physical media isnt without risk.  The beauty of digital distribution is that all cost are fixed and sunk meaning it cost me the same to ship 3 copies as it does 30,000. With physical media that all changes because now you add in a variable cost. Each game produced cost you money and therefore adds risk since if you produce 20,000 and only sell 10,000 you have to eat the cost of the 10,000 units not sold and now more than likely your losing money on this. Im guessing if they are popular and they keep the runs low and limited ( which assure they are going to sell out) they'll become a mainstay of the amico.

Right.  That makes sense.  We shall see what happens as time goes on.  Hopefully the physical media does well.  I think it will.

I am going to bring up a @bigdaddygamestudio topic from a while back. Now that Finnigan Fox is getting a graphic update, is the developer going to add character shadows? I know in the original design it was an artistic choice not to (found that in some article as a quote from the main artist). However with the redesign is this going to be reconsidered or it is just a "Fox" thing they like to do?

How about an adventure game where you play as an Armadillo?  In the game you must defend the land from mutant critters.  There would be 10 levels with a boss at the end of each level.  Level 10 has the final boss.  The gameplay would involve rolling into a ball to knock out enemies as you go towards them.  And you can also jump on them too.  The game would be 2D/2.5D and would be colorful like Finnigan Fox.  But the game design would be completely different.  Also, there are power ups.  Some include the ability to become a giant destroying everything in your path.  Another power up could be where you spin in place with your claws out and slash enemies who are closing in on you.  It would be like a tornado attack.  By using the tornado ability, the enemies are thrown around and fly off screen.  Lol.  The main character doesn't resemble how an Armadillo looks in real life.  In the game the Armadillo would be made to look tough and have a cool design as well.

I have two "how abouts" that actually look much better than the Armadillo game for potential Amico games:

- How about a 2D (or at least 2D control) version of Katamari Damacy for the Amico with multiplayer options?

- How about an updated version of Lunar Lander, that could be enhanced in the same way Oids (Atari ST, 1987) did, combining elements of Choplifter and Gravitar? That game could have a cool co-op mode.

If you're going to own an Intellivision... You HAVE to own a SSVA..  but I'm biased.

It's like Coke vs Pepsi.  Same basic drink, but taste totally different.

The Armadillo game can be made to look really cool.  The character would have a cartoon style design.  Look how Sonic turned out.  By the way, I like your game ideas as well.

I have both a standard Intellivision, and a Sears Super Video Arcade I got for cheap as it had aged from tan to to a rather nasty nicotine-stain yellow (a common problem I am told) though it otherwise works perfectly.

The SSVA I do prefer though. It might just be me but I swear the controls are a bit more comfortable on the hands for gameplay, but the big selling point for me is the joypad cables are removable from the console so you should be able to add in cable extensions if you wished. I bought a few three meter generic ones off eBay I am waiting on to arrive to try with it!

If it works I can put the console on the entertainment centre and still game comfortable from on the couch.

With these endless Corona restrictions, not like one has much else to do but watch some TV and game.

When I was young our first Intellivision broke down, and we ended up getting Sears version as replacement, as there was some promotion where we received a 13” color television very price reduced, the details I cannot remember anymore.

At the time I really preferred the look of the original Intellivision, but I did like that the controller cords didn’t recoil pull on you when playing, although they were a little more work to dock the controllers back into the console.

Later in life I really appreciated the removable controllers, as I purchased a Classic Game Controller that allowed me to use my original Sears controllers with a Nostalgia emulator on the computer. Felt like playing my original system.

All in all I liked both versions for different reasons, but I may break down and buy another original version to have again. I say I am not a collector, just an OG, but I may break my rule for the OG Intellivision.

A quick behind the scenes sneak peak at one of our upcoming launch titles.

But will he see...A friendly horse? Will he communicate by mo-o-o-o-orse mo-o-o-o-orse mo-o-o-o-orse?

How will he talk to that ho-o-o-o-orse ho-o-o-o-orse ho-o-o-o-orse?
