etc, etc.   A lot of cool ideas could then happens ! You know, april 1st for April fool's day ... !

Amico on fire, John Alvaro coming with an extinguisher ! lol

John saying "I told you not to use a Banana Pi ...! " 😂🤪

That could be so cool. lol   Tommy could make it on his own channel.🤣

:)

I'm not sure...  their brains may short circuit to the point of taking drugs while screaming angry rants about people who like Amico.

Oh wait... that's already happening.

Certainly PINBALL!

If the buttons can be mapped?  Sub Hunt

If Mission X and Locomotion are on the list...  Bump n Jump

Again.. Button mapping,  But I think Hover Force could work.

Christmas Carol could work very nicely.   Unless "Christmas" has a copyright issue!  ;)

Pinball with the shoulder buttons will be cool on the Evercade.

@Tommy Tallarico Non Amico related question. Which game that you worked on are you the worst at playing? Just occurred to me that you've worked on some pretty challenging games. So which one challenges you the most?

Great question!  I never got that one before.

I just went back and checked all the stuff I've worked on (https://www.tallarico.com/videogames).

I'd probably say one of the Unreal Tournament or Unreal Championship games as I'm not a huge fan of those style of online games where 90% of the people you're playing against are way better than you.

:)

Tommy,

Will there be a game on Amico where you have to solve riddles?  It could make for a fun party game.  Everyone takes a turn to solve the riddle.  The riddles don't need to be difficult.  They would be fun and simple.

Many thanks Tommy for the answer. Curious on how the "home screen" and "store" look now. Appreciate your time.

Something that comes to mind, perhaps not for the everyday consumer, and you don't have to answer this one, but how strong is your IP protection globally? Do you have everything made in China? Or only certain parts? The last thing you need is for some knock-off to show up on Alibaba or other sites. I would hope the "secret sauces" that make the Amico work are kept with you. I know all companies do business there, but there's a risk to that.

We have the biggest and best corporate attorney's on the planet as well as the best patent, IP and trademark folks as well.  Of course you can never protect against everything, but even our name in China has been trademarked and just like most electronics these days... the entire thing isn't "made" in one plant with one manufacturer.  Parts come from all over and different things get assembled in different places.  So although anyone can rip apart and Amico and start trying to figure out how to replicate and where to get all 700+ parts & 100 components... it would pretty much be a waste of time knowing how little margin there is on selling the hardware.  Also... the second they connected it to the internet it wouldn't work.  I'm sure some folks will go through a lot of trouble to do it (just to see if they can), but we're not concerned that there is going to be knock off versions floating around Alibaba that will damage our bottom line.

Reading some of these comments....What kind of people log into chat rooms to comment and watch videos of things they dislike?  What a crappy way to spend your precious time. Go spend your time with something you enjoy.  Funny part is, I bet every single one will buy an Amico the first chance they get. Then probably come back here to talk about how horrible the system is as they log in hundreds of hours of play time just to look for things they can complain about.  Sad existence.

Anyway on to why almost all of us are here.  Looking forward to the release date announcement.

Nailed it!

They'll be the first in line to buy one so they can bitch about it.

I win.

We have a few games like that on the drawing board... in fact some of that will be available in Bomb Squad to some extent.

Yeah!  We describe Bomb Squad as Twister meets an escape room meets Spaceteam (2 player mobile game that folks should check out).

Thanks!  Would be interested in hearing what everyone in here would like to see on Evercade!

Please keep in mind the following...

No licenses (i.e. stuff we don't own) and it can't use the keypad too much (i.e. Utopia = no).  But for small things like the AUTO FIRE in Astrosmash can easily be mapped to another button.

Let's hear it folks!

Now is your time to be heard!  What do you want???

p.s.  Imagic would be a separate 3rd collection, so I'm only talking Intellivision owned properties.  And yes... AD&D can be branded as Cloudy Mountain!  Tron Deadly Discs much tougher because of the imagery within the game.

Spent some time thinking about this one not sure if the game I would like most could happen in Horse Racing so many fond memories of that game.  Really looking forward to a reimagined Amico version too kind of hoping for horses colored like in the Wizard of Oz in it.  All the other games I can think of have been mentioned already so I’ll leave my list at one

Lets just say I have first hand knowledge that the folks in Japan were not happy with Space Armada being on any platforms.   :)

I wouldn't doubt it but that doesn't mean any copyrights or trademarks were infringed.  Space Armada has unique gameplay features and it wouldn't be right if Taito were to prevent people from experiencing it.

Tommy,

Any new merch coming to the IE Shop?  Such as some new T-shirt designs?  I'm still waiting for a shirt with Puffy on it.  Or maybe a mug with him on it.  Lol.

Another +1 on Puffy merch, especially a mug - would buy it in a minute

Amico launch delay was just informally announced*. It'll be in October. The official announcement is (I think) scheduled for Wednesday.

No date was specified. October 10th is on a Sunday this year.

just glad to hear that they have funding sources to be able to extended their runway money. Pre-revenue can be scary otherwise.  My company was due to role out our 2 new big products when covid hit, we were lucky however since we already had one man product which was about to be  cannibalized our 2 new ones, so covid extended the life of our old main product, and we basically soft launched our 2 new products and revenue remained fine and it really turned out to be a blessing in disguise since time is not a bad thing when trying to launch a new product. You always think your ready, but looking back a year, my god it would of been  messy, Im thinking this will turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Amico as well.

But if you want to license other properties from Taito, you may not want to rub salt in any old wounds.

Tommy, just drove through Wilbraham on the pike today.

The snow covered Friendly's shrubs looked fantastic.

Wish I got a picture...

This makes me wonder: would Konami be upset by you folks releasing a BomberMan-like game as Dynablasters? It's to my understanding that they have no stake in that particular trademark?

If that's what it takes to license a space invaders remake then whatever.  Otherwise, screw 'em.

You should add in a few homebrews like Ms. Nightstalker, Piggy Bank and Ghost of Christmas Past, like companies have done with the Flashbacks.
