I believe he said 10 physical games at launch.  But it could be more now with the delay.

This exact number is in flux.  Should be at least 10... could go to 12.  Can't promise anything at this point in time.

Hey all,

As we have time to think about it now I wanted to throw an idea out there. I know Tommy will keep us in clips until the launch and I find myself ever more so thinking of collecting the physical when it comes out.

Tommy...you mentioned at one point I think about 12 physical games coming when the launch hits (hope I'm getting that right). Would there be a possibility of making like a super starter 5 pack? Now that you're back to releasing by the holidays...what if you had 5 physical games in a wicked cool package...say night stalker, bowling, bi-planes, Finnigan fox, and maybe some brain age type edutainment game...Retail it for $100.00 ($20 per game)

Can you imagine being the kid that gets to open 5 toys, that are also video games on Christmas morning all for less than the price of 2 AAA games anywhere else???

Now the reality for me as a NIB (New In Box) collector is that I'd have to have the 5-pack and then one of each of them separately.

Call it the "fantastic five" and hope Marvel doesn't mind ;)

Cheers All,

The Wren

That would be extremely difficult to do and not something that retailers would be into as there are so many possibilities of what families may or may not want in that pack of 5.

The physicals are already $19.99 so 5 of them for $100 wouldn't really make that much sense because people could just pick their 5 favorites (i.e. no financial advantage to buying more).

And because our margins are so thin on everything, doing 5 games for $90 or whatever (i.e. $2 off each game) wouldn't make sense for us financially.

I like the concept!  It just wouldn't work well within the eco-system that we've created.

Thank you for the idea though!  Keep em coming!

They put out an update back in October. Have you seen it?

I'm really looking forward to this little guy.  I hope the best and a lot of success for them.  As everyone knows... I feel their pain and know what they are going though.

I'm hoping its a big success for them and they can continue making games for it.  Cool idea.

Another push back? I pre-purchased this with intentions of getting to play it in April.

I totally understand and appreciate your frustration.  Keep in mind... you can ask for a 100% refund at any time.  Founders Editions and VIP Editions are now closed... so if you put a deposit down on either of those, your order would go to the next person in line and you wouldn't be able to get a VIP or Founders down the line.  The reason I mentioned this is because a person had gotten upset at our Customer Experience staff 2 days ago because they wanted their $100 deposit back for their Founders Edition but insisted that we give them their spot back if they decide down the road and closer to launch to get one.  Unfortunately we are unable to do that considering how many people are eager and in line to get one of these now rare editions.

What does another 6 months get us anyway?  More launch games? some new incentive?

It gets you the console.  There is no other way to get you one before then.

Again, I apologize for the delay, but it was really out of our hands and we're doing the best we can to get it out there.  No one wants it out there more than I do!  :)

Please check out our Launch Update video for more info.

Thank you and I really appreciate your support.  Please let me know if you have any other questions and I'll try to answer them the best I can.

Prior to the Video being released today, I wanted to put the question out there: Are there any plans on having a presence at this years e3? Whatever form it ends up taking.

For sure!

Tommy,

With the new release date being 10/10/21, will the FE come out a week or so before then?

Our current plan is to get the Founders their consoles FIRST and the VIP's next.

Yes! Also here is a money making opportunity for Atari Age: sell 'super hearts' which you can buy a number of and apply to messages until they run out - because I wanted to do more than just heart this one.

I just did a quick calculation- With a little over 33 weeks until Launch... And at least 35 Games AT launch... You could almost release a sneak peak each week... You can call it Sneak Peak a Week! Toss in some new stuff that we haven't seen before. Give us more polished gameplay for some of the games we have.  Interspersed through those videos I can see some dedicated to individual developers. Hardware. ETC. It's going to be a fun ride!!!!

Yes to this.  We need one video a week to keep the momentum going.  Got to fill in that gap until launch.

Keep em coming I shall :)

Hey Tommy...now I apologize here because I've mentioned it before through other means and I don't think its getting through as intended. Again I'm going to be after ALL physical when this comes out so some of this is driven by my hope to catch em all. I've mentioned before about a subscription service to ensure that guys like me never get left behind. You've also mentioned that you might have some physical media exclusive to a certain retailer...just like bestbuy does with the occasional Amiibo.

WHAT IF...you had a subscription list of guys like me wanting to collect them all? What if when you gave an exclusivity out to bestbuy, target, costco, etc...that exclusivity also came with that subscription list to allow the retailer to directly contact those interested in having first crack at nabbing the physical. The retailer gets to wind up in as many inboxes as you have subs/email addresses on the list...no commitment on the part of the vendor or the customer...basically just a warm ad.

Cheers,

The Wren

I know it's not Amico related but wanted to share.  It would be neat to have this on Amico.

They had Megaman 11 out in 2019. It looked nice in HD too. Anybody remember that?

This was great Tommy.  Kind of reminds me of Snafu a little bit but in space.  Looking forward to the next video Tommy.  Don't stop now.

This game looks like so much fun definitely will be a buy for me I’m pretty sure I’ll suck at it but I’ll have a great time being terrible at the game lol
