We have a few ideas.  I'm not a huge fan personally, but recognize and appreciate that the genre is popular.  We have a few ideas that incorporates the touch screen, but havent started working on anything yet.

Yeah - I think the Amico would be a great place for some kind of "party fighter" a la Smash. Some cool characters with different abilities, stages, items, etc. Something anyone could pick up and play without complex combos. Clayfighter may have had combos (and was also not very good as a game...) but Power Stone was a lot more interesting as a "party fighter." I don't think there's ever been a fighting game a family can pick up and play though.

Just steer clear of "Playstation All-Stars" ...

Hey Tommy, here's another peculiar question:

- When you search for the word "amico" in the Spanish version of Google, Intellivision Entertainment is only the 7th result and the rest of results on the first page are not related to video games: Amico Moda, a clothing shop based on the Canary Islands; Amico Corporation, a medical products company; Ámico, the Spanish name of the mythological figure Amykos; a pizzeria in France under the same name; a duo of musical actors in Pamplona, Spain... and even a non-profit organization in Santiago de Compostela, Spain called AMICO (Asociación de Persoas con Discapacidade de Compostela e Comarca, which means Association of People with Disabilities in Compostela and the Region in galician, one of Spain's minority languages). Do you think this will improve after E3? Of course, things get much better when you add "intellivison", but still...

I was thinking like a cartoon character fighting game like a mashup of Tex Avery & Tom & Jerry characters. Tossing baseball bats, using those seltzer spritzers in the face and dropping anvils on each other. stepping on rakes type of stuff.

Also Rampage where they can pick up the fire trucks and hit each other with them. Maybe throw a radio transmitter from a rooftop like a spear.

Speaking about Pamplona, Spain, it looks like Amico Teatro was not a theater but a duo of actors located in that city. One of their last spectacles could very well define the next E3 in Los Angeles:

Hey... I'm a Firefighter and I take offense to that...I'm suing for 285 million, and 5 Amicos...

...And that AD&D is the next sneak peak video we get!!!

I agree with that!!  Might be tough with the LucasArts licenses though.

It would be cool to have a known license but I would gladly take all new lead.

About Pitfall :

On 1/11/2020 at 12:30 PM, Tommy Tallarico said:

Yeah... Pitfall will be something that will probably come out a year or two after the initial release of the console.  Activision wants to see an installed base before discussing licensing for any of their games.  Fair enough... most of the giant companies (EA) are the same.  No worries... it will just take a little longer.  But something we definitely want to do and something David Crane is 100% on board with helping us to create!

Since I got a few minutes for break, let me fire off a quick question...apologies if it has been answered as I haven't had the chance to search the thread.

@Tommy Tallarico Have you or are you considering utilizing the Amico controller in a way that allows the players to do things in the real world that would benefit their in game progress. I was thinking like if a player walks X minutes their character levels up. Catching "pokemon" like creatures then transfering them into the game. Something  similiar to the Sega Dreamcast controller's VMU unit.

Some Amico ideas I thought would be cool....

#1 That Dice Rolling demo... how about make a D&D game around it and the dice be D&D dice... and as we roll, the #s that show on screen get automagically tallied for the D&D game you are playing.

#2 a monthly digital Amico Magazine that shows up on our Amico every month.  We can read it online only on our Amico and it will be be fun to keep up with the Amico scene.  Fan supported articles included of course along with new demos, stories, and the what's going on at Intellivision.

As well, you get Play Coins if your 3DS is in sleep mode, and you walk around with it. Can be used to buy special items in some Nintendo games such as Animal Crossing.

Hey Tommy,

As you have mentioned previously that some games that are released will have Physical counterparts with added goodies. This, let me say I am a huge fan of this approach, one that keeps me supporting Limited Run Games and others.

Are you aiming for a certain percentage of games or is it based on the specific game and its appeal to the collecting community?  Apologies if this has been answered previously.

Also these Q&A’s that you are doing should be the standard for all CEO’s to follow, imho.

Thanks,

Pete

Speaking of "Limited Run Games and others", if a particular store or online retailer inquired about a Collector's Edition that does not yet exist, would Intellivision be able to provide that order? (Just speaking hypothetically!)

A hard copy would always be welcome too... but I am good with a Amico specific copy too as long as we can save then on SD card for future.  But yeh, I am a hard copy magazine whore myself. tj

Now, it is nice to hear Tommy has a plan but to ignore China's history of IP abuse is very dangerous. You see, I literally asked how Tommy plans to stop China from stealing his tech and making bootleg Amicos.

Only if Amico becomes popular. Otherwise, China would ignore it.

There is no a bootleg game.com system unless I missed something.
