If my 7yo can't play Pokemon on the Switch, she sure won't be able to play Breath of the Wild. To be fair though, she couldn't legend of Zelda on the NES either. I guess it's hard making games for 7yo that aren't Sesame Street.

I think the main problem is that you can't make AAA games for 7 year olds. There is lots of potential for it but developers don't want to put the effort in when you can churn out the next in a series and charge a premium price for it. The Amico will help to negate this by having smaller family oriented games. A developer can spend a few hundred hours making and fine tuning a game VS hundreds of thousands of man hours required to make a game on the big 3. There are exceptions of course but the big 3 are set up for big studios to make big games and the Amico will be nimble enough to have micro, mini, small, medium and large games.

I'm going to sell our Switch, all our kids do is watch YouTube on it...

It would keep kids watching YouTube on Switch so they won't use parent's computers or cellphones to watch videos.

There wasn't on the Coleco version. This must be an indie remake.

1) Both in the quoted reply and in several interviews you mention rape games, as well as games involving children being raped/molested/ect., on the Switch, do you feel it necessary to lie about the contents of Switch titles in order to promote the Amico? If you feel your claim is valid then I'd love for you to provide examples of your claims.

I know you aren't a journalist or anything but before you call someone a liar you might want to take a few minutes to research a bit. Tommy posted actual images from games available on Nintendo platforms but they were so graphic & offensive he was asked to remove them. Here are some games & articles to get you started on your research. Hopefully just the article photos aren't so NSFW that the mods ask me to remove them.

None of those games feature child rape, molestation, of graphic depictions of genitalia. While there are games with some "touching" mini-games it is understood the touching is due to mutual attraction and is not molestation or rape. So, while these games may not be your cup of tea, they are not exactly as Tommy has described them.

Along with a monthly updates channel, or weekly updates, or whatever, the Amico should have some historical pieces too. Maybe a "On this week in INTV history..." or something. Perhaps a small news icon at the bottom of the Amico's home screen?

It could include a game, the overlay, and history of the game. Along with perhaps a link to buy the re-imagined version :^)

I found this:

http://www.intvfunhouse.com/overlays/table.php

But it doesn't lay them all out side by side.

Still not a grid but here it goes:

https://intvfunhouse.com/games/variants.php?show_images=on&page=1&perpage=100&part=overlay

Individual game vendors usually have a grid page.  It’s an area of the site I haven’t changed in a long time.

I am so glad you answered as you did because it allows me to go ahead and push back a little bit and ask some tough questions.

2) I didn't say create a brand new system, I said create "kids" versions with hardwired parental controls. These are already present in the new Call of Duty game as any profile under a certain age is restricted from going online and playing the game.

3) How exactly will the Amico parental controls, time limiting parental controls you previously talked about, be easier or more intuitive than the ones on the Big 3 consoles? Additionally why do you feel going to the "Settings" tab then the "Parental Controls" tab is too hard for parents to figure out?

4) To speak about your Wheel of Fortune gameplay experience, why are you putting the blame on the console maker, intendo, instead of the developer of the game Ubisoft?

5) Will Amico have online leader boards for their games?

Tony I kind of invited you here because I didn't think posting stuff on the Amico subreddit was very good. But you're not going to get anywhere if you keep targeting Tommy's responses like this.

These aren't "tough questions" they are just aggressive.

I believe you invited me here to, as you said, "get put in my place." If you feel these are aggressive questions then it is a good thing I aimed them at Tommy and not you. After all, Tommy is the guy who ripped the Men in Black game a new one on TV during his time as a co host on G4 TV's Judgment Day.

1.  Tony... Tony... Tony...  there you go again.  That didn't take long.  Oh well... at least I tried.

Once again you show your complete lack of professionalism and journalistic ability with the way you go about your business and word your questions.  This is exactly the point I've been making to you... you are rude, unprofessional, obnoxious and negative.  Calling me a "liar" because you yourself don't do ANY research on the subject is a very lazy approach and shows again that you are more interested in being combative with me as opposed to actually getting information.  You're the so called journalist.... do your own research instead of demanding your interview subject to do it for you.  If you fail at doing basic research, please let me know and I'd be happy to post HUNDREDS of screen shots, online articles, newspaper articles and YouTube videos on the subject matter.

Also... if you expect me to continue answering any questions... I want a public apology in this forum for calling me a liar.  I want you to admit that you were wrong in your assessment and you were rude and unprofessional in branding me a liar because of your own misguidance.  Until then... don't bother posting any more questions after this as I will ignore them.   You're a real piece of work.

2.  The fact that you think Call of Duty is in any way, shape or form a "kids" game signifies your lack of industry and ratings knowledge.  Shame on you if you let your kids play Call of Duty and think that it's okay because they just can't play it online.

3.  Again... do a little more research.  Settings and Parental Controls tab is all it takes huh?  Lets be honest... you've NEVER set the Parental Controls on a Switch... so drop the act buddy.  Once again... research is your friend.  The fact that you actually think that's all it takes to set Parental Controls proves that you are not knowledgeable on the subject matter... but to act like you DO and then want to fight me over it (and call me a liar, etc.) is what makes it pathetic.

4.  When did I put the blame on Nintendo?  Again... wrongly assuming what I said and trying to twist my words because you have an agenda.  I said the INDUSTRY... not Nintendo.  And it's the Nintendo device that the game was on.  That's why I said it was on the Switch.  All day long I hear from hardcores like yourself that I'm an idiot because everything we're doing is already being done on the Switch.  I give you an exact example of why it isn't and your response is... "Why are you picking on Nintendo?".

5.  Once again... research.  Part of being a journalist is researching the subject matter in order to better formulate your questions.  What you are doing is trying to trick me into saying something you can then twist and use against me in a negative way.  Yes Tony... we have leaderboards.  1st video, 1st press and on our website.

Will await your apology for calling me a liar.  If not... no reason for you to continue posting questions as I will not be answering them.

So far, I've not said too much in this thread. I would like to point out that this is nothing more than picking nits.

The stated goal of the Amico is to provide a family friendly gaming environment. The games Grudge posted are most certainly not "Family friendly", by any definition.

I find your argument spurious at best.

I actually don't think it's that hard.  I just think publishers have just gotten lazy and the home consoles are not targeted to 7 year olds anymore.  We have a number of great games that the entire family is capable of playing.  I wish I could show some of them... but we know that if we did right now... that someone would try to knock off a version before we had a chance to release ours (although a different version because of the way we are using our controllers).

Would you describe all of the girls depicted in just those images as being clearly above the age of consent? I am not sure most people would. In that situation 'touching' is a certainly an issue.

Exactly the reason why Disneys own BIGGEST franchise (Frozen) has NEVER been made into a video game for the home consoles!

... yet.

"Put in your place" was tongue-in-cheek. I was actually seriously hoping you would demonstrate some measured level of self-awareness and realize that you could start fresh here by asking Tommy a few questions about supposed censorship on Youtube.

Now you're just calling him a liar instead of asking any real questions. You are a few posts off from being the same kind of person I saw on Resetera when I first researched the Amico. You just constantly post to take digs at Tommy for some reason like he's personally attacked you.

What the heck does him "ripping the Men in Black game a new one" have to do with anything? What does him doing anything on G4TV have anything to do with anything you've been posting or asking? Where'd that come from? 🤡

Lazy response.

Do some research Mr. Journalist.

There IS frontal nudity, male & female genitalia as well as rape and what some would consider mild child pornography.

Again... will await your apology.  Hope you're embarrassed when you find the "truth".

Maybe you'll even write about it on your blog.

Show me where I called you a liar. Trust me, you can't because I never did. I said you lied, and it is 100% verifiable that there isn't a single game on Nintendo Switch that has child rape in it or full genitalia on display as YOU stated in your interviews and on here. As for as my journalistic professionalism and ability, that is neither here nor there as I am not acting as a journalist at the moment. I am a simple poster on a forum asking questions in a Q & A thread. You didn't want a formal interview, written ones being old fashion and such, so here we are.

1) You made a claim, why would I research and attempt to verify a claim you made? The burden of proof falls on the one making the claim. The fact I pressed  you and you still can't name such a game speaks volumes. As for research, if you did any you might have known I have written about several of the games you find to be so distasteful.

2) My child is 14 and very capable of understanding the difference between reality and fiction. I will not be lectured by someone without kids on how to raise my own. Again, you missed the question and refuse to address the pointy I made. Games are having parental controls hardwired into them.

3) I don't own a Switch, so no I haven't set those controls. I have set them on a PS4 and they are as simple as going to the settings tab, going to the parental control tab, and setting things as you see fit. However I must once again stress your lack of answering what was asked and instead focusing on attacking me.

4) By never saying Ubisoft developed the game and in turn the controls for the game your story would lead many to assum it was a Switch hardware issue and not a Ubisoft software issue. You didn't directly blame Nintendo but you implied it was there fault. It is a common trick when trying to make a point that doesn't exist so you use language to imply something but have the ability to turn around and claim you never SAID that. Please, don't act like this is my first rodeo.

5) How is a simple yes/no question a "trick." I simply wanted to know if the games would have online leaderboards.

You can wait forever, I won't apologize for something I did not do. Yes I said you lied, which I showed to be true. Are you a liar? I don't kow you well enough to make that assessment.

You're currently getting "put in your place" by calling me a liar and declaring that there is no genitalia shown on the Switch (and NOT allowed or shown on any of the other home consoles).

If you think Men In Black is bad... you must have missed the High Heat Baseball one.  I'd post the link here... but it's much for fun giving you some research practice.  :)

Reviewing a video game for entertainment purposes on a television show is much different than trying to do a negative hit piece on something you aren't capable of understanding because of your hardcore and stubborn nature.
