The producer of Dance Dance Revolution (Jason Enos) is my VP of Production!  Jason also produced all the early Metal Gear Solid & Silent Hill games!!

We don't have a camera situation so it would need to be controller controlled.  But we're looking into it.  Had a GREAT meeting today with a super cool music game.  Excited about the potential of having it be a launch title!

I don't know how the technology interface works, but could you use an App on a smart phone to interface with the software like Just Dance does with the XBox One. The phone camera still works even though the Kinect interface has been removed. However, I don't know if there is some electronics still present in the Xbox One X that is required, since I know that even though the Kinect interface was removed from the Xbox One S, people were still able to use it with an adapter.

The thought also crossed my mind how there were hundreds of thousands of Xbox One users who were subscribed to the XBox Fitness Channel and I remember most of them were pretty P.O.'s when it was cancelled. That could be another area of interest for Amico in the future. That could be another draw for casual mom's, dad's and kids if the phone camera interface is possible.

Tommy, are there plans to have something like Metal Slug on the Amico? One of my friends and I got off work one day maybe in late 2018 or early last year and we went to Akiba since that's not too far from our old office (3 stations away, I think). We went to Super Potato to check out PC Engine and Mega Drive stuff, but we ended up in the arcade that Super Potato has on 5F with a cabinet (pretty sure it's actually a Neo Geo MVS) that has Metal Slug X in it. It was either X or 2 since they are basically the same game and I think it was X, but I guess that doesn't matter.

What does matter is that Metal Slug is really awesome and a great multiplayer game and we had a great time playing Metal Slug! Too bad we were both horrible from lack of practice so we ran out of money really fast! I'd love to see something like Metal Slug on the Amico at some point. Judging by what I have seen so far, I'm kind of planning on using the Amico as sort of like a modern Neo Geo/arcade machine type thing, if that makes any sense!

I really didn't want to continue this needless drama further but just to clarify for everyone - 'you' did not request the deletions and I was not referring to you (nor did I imply it) - it was your customer service rep who did.  If you want me to post a screenshot of the entire correspondence, I would be happy to do so privately in a DM.

This is a Q&A forum and I sincerely appreciate your openness and candidness here.  So, being a forum of this nature, I thought it would be appropriate to ask a "Question" about an issue I was having so that I could get an "Answer."  I sent emails as far back as February 23rd, and the Paypal case was opened Monday 3/2 at 6:46 PM.  I got responses to nothing and only posted here as a last resort.

I still have (or had, after all of this...) intentions of getting an Amico.  I simply wanted to cancel my order at this time for reasons mostly unrelated to the product; and I even told your rep that I would gladly transfer my purchase to someone else so someone could be happy with it.  I've tried to be absolutely civil but the amount of drama over this is quite frankly ridiculous and unnecessary.

Again, I truly wish you guys the best but such a simple thing as a refund request (which was advertised) really shouldn't be this big a deal.  I hope whoever gets my order gets many years of enjoyment out of it.   Cheers

Considering what you are saying something clearly went on with your refund request, where , why and how can be debated. I glad to see your trying to keep it civil. Your refund has been resolved and that's what clearly counts right now.  So it may be a good time for all parties just to end this.  So let's just all move on and enjoy what life has to offer..

I’m willing to just let this die on the vine already.  I got the refund; the console was resold. The end.

Have you ever thought maybe you should just like realize it's time to move on and let it die? I don't see why the need to keep bringing it up. You could take it private too if there was a problem. 🤷‍♂️

Are you sure it isn't Amico? I counted at least 9 tables for family fun. Would have been more fun if Vic wasn't playing solo on the drive. 😱

Another YouTuber has discovered the Amico (sometimes it easy to forget that most folks, even retro gamers, haven't heard of it yet). Good video if a little out of date on the content:

Yeah!!  LOVE this conversation!!!!!!!

Everyone... join in!!!!!!!!

OK this is a crazy one. There was a local cafe that had the best games in town and they had a huge backroom that had all the games and pinball and a single poker table. In this case i was there for the pinball machine PIN-BOT. So i walked in with my friends and there was 5 older men sitting at the table having a poker game with a ton of cash on the table like stuff you only see in the movies...but i didn't care...it wasn't PIN-BOT. So i walked over and started playing and I was the only kid in there. One of the men called me over and asked me to go to the front bar area saying that he needed something from the front and would i help him. Now guys this was the early 80's and i'm about 10 years old and the law of the land then was listen to adults and do what is reasonably asked of you...not stranger danger...everyone is going to throw you in the trunk of their car. So i go to the front and the bartender gives me a rum and coke and says its for the man in the back...i did this for my Dad almost every other night...seemed a simple task. So i went back to the poker game, gave this man his drink and he said to me "You're a good kid!" and gave me $10 cash of the top of what only could have been thousands of dollars in front of him. I was over the moon $10 was a small fortune to a 10 year old on the 80's and i couldn't wait to tell my Dad how easily i earned $10. Blah Blah Blah never go there again...my Dad argued further that the trunk of their car may have been occupied. Turns out to have been a favourite Mafia hangout.

Moral of the story folks...10 bucks is 10 bucks!!! And now it can buy me Night Stalker ;)

Cheers all!

Tommy Tallarico,

Will the Preorders you have planned in your next reveal video have a limit?

I know you said opening it up would make the Founders feel a bit more special than if it was limited.  You also mention 5200 but that was more in jest.

Will all the colors be available?

I know you mentioned the white and black one as possibilites.  Just wondering if red and purple were available or if they are store exclusives.

Will we be able to order more than one at a time?

I know the Founders had to go back in and order one by one to prevent scalpers.

You dont have to answer these if you dont want to but I'm climbing the walls thinking about the new game reveal and preorder video coming out.

I haven't been this excited since the last video with John Alvarado.

(And yes I rewatch your videos multiple times a week)

🙂

I'm pretty sure game that involve people killing each other, especially with the blood flying, are not going to be done for Amico. Tommy said even Zombie Panic in Wonderland was too violent. I believe he's said a Zombies ate My Neighbors type game is okay, but Street Fighter, Mortal Combat, etc. are too violent. Something like Kung Fu Master is likely right on the Line.

Yes, I definitely don't expect Metal Slug itself to appear. Something with similar gameplay minus the violence would be great, though.

Maybe you have a water gun and the other kids are covered in mud.  They shot mud at you and you clean them off with the water.  Missiles could be water balloons.

Im.sure theirs ways to do metal slub type game and work around to an e10 plus rating.

Kinda wish intellivision would create their own rating system subset to have something borderline teen but limited tomonly certain things to fit in their own e10 us like rating that's not quite teen.

Yeah, some weeks ago I already suggested a mature version of the console, something called Enemico or Darkmico where split screen games are also possible, a machine where the only commandments were "4 player local multiplayer is required for all games", "all games must be $10 or less" and "no games will have DLC". It was a joke and I know this was not possible, but if this existed I can see thousands of us ordering it just like the FE.

@Swami What does that mean? I even googled it but still have no clue. 🙃

I think he means take the Family out of S.A.F.E. so it would be Simple Affordable Entertainment.

I could be wrong though.
