With that much anger ? Because so far they gave only Atari 2600 vault coming that I know of and the console is more expensive than Amico. With Amico it’s personal at this point. It would not be possible for an unbiased review from them at this point.

atari doesn't pose a viable threat to nintendo.

Ok so another possibility I would like it to be if not Snafoo.  Biplanes it was a huge hit around Mattel office when it was part of Triple Action and just imagine playing that with more people

Triple Action; bi-planes especially, tanks notably, cars forgettably, was awesome. Given the brief type of teaser trailer, don't think the bi-planes title is very far along.

Also, does anyone else only remember one set of wings in the original?  🤔

The Amico is shaping up to look pretty interesting, but I'm still wondering how accessible it will be to play for people with disabilities. I've personally never gotten an original Intellivision because of its controller being rather difficult to control with my feet. I reached out to the Amico team as soon as their website went live about accessibility and making the system more accessible, but never heard back. Legally, all game consoles have to adhere to a variety of accessibility standards for operation, in addition to apps having to meet a minimum accessibility requirement. I've helped Xbox over the years with making their system more accessible, even testing their Xbox Adaptive Controller since its inception. I have also done tons of app development and QA directly related to accessibility, and of course have plenty of experience playing/making games as well. This isn't me begging for a paid gig, either, as making money is actually detrimental to my way of life (thanks US disability services!)

The main reason I am so vested is that I see tons of potential for the Amico in terms of accessibility. I can totally see the Amico being used in therapy, rehab, nursing homes, and so much more. Nothing ever replaced the Wii in nursing homes for example, where I can totally see the Amico being that replacement. There's plenty of awards given out every year for accessible toys and tech that I think the Amico has a good shot at winning. But, the accessibility of the software and hardware have to match and exceed the Amico's potential. I would love to talk to Tommy more about Amico accessibility and eventually, see Intellivision itself speak on the topic. I'm excited for the Amico if I can play it, but would be much more interested if I knew of its accessibility and knew my feet could kick ass with its controllers. :)

Maybe via later tailored special controllers?  Have a friend who is handicapped (for video game purposes by limited use of fingers; there are others) and we got an arcade controller with joystick and big arcade buttons for my original x-box. The thing was big and worked well for him.  For Amico, this would only work for some of the games, but this may be an eventual avenue...

I am a huuuuuuge fan of all things Amico, but... Just me or were the Cornhole and Farkle teasers really lame? Half the time in Cornhole spent panning around a really low-res map, and one single toss of the dice on Farkle while showing FPS capped at less than 30.

Oh well. Still excited and can't wait to play both, just had hoped for more from the teasers.

I think that’s because both of those games are still in very early development

I get that, and they're going to both be excellent, but those specific teasers are not the way to generate interest.

Farkle looked to me to be a replay of the tech demo.  Also, last I was aware, Farkle was played with 6 dice.  I have no doubts that the games will be adequately polished prior to release.

You all think our Amicos will have Easter Eggs to be found? Like if you hold all 4 controller buttons down a special something something will happen?

What something something you all hope to see?

Maybe but also considering that the mass marketing hasn’t started and right now it’s just game community following it those are probably the two games that draw the least interest now anyway

I’m hoping there is an Easter egg where if you say or do something when turning on the system it will say Hello Commander Computer Reporting like Space Spartans

So waiting for that game.  First thing I’m doing after hearing that will be to turn off the damn tracking computer.  Would too often pull me into the line of fire.

Just found my receipt from 2007 for my Nintendo Wii. The cost of the Wii and one extra controller (it only came with 1) was $300.

Adjusted for inflation, $300.00 in 2007 is equal to $382.02 in 2020. And look what Tiger Woods Golf cost!!!

Hard to believe people are complaining about the cost of an Amico.

I'm very interested in this as well (coming out of the disabilities tech field).  The Xbox adaptive controller probably will not integrate, even though Amico supports Bluetooth and third party controllers will be open to pair with it.  Amico is Linux-based and won't be operating Windows - the Adaptive controller only is compatible with Windows PCs/tablets and Xbox One (presumably, Series X).  But custom controllers can still be built that map to Amico.  It'd be just about the coolest thing in the world to see a tablet and 10" disc operating just like a controller that you could operate with your feet, and a couple pads as the shoulder buttons right there, tappable.  There is a lot of grant funding out their for disability tech to help improve accessibility, community inclusion, health and wellness, fine motor skill and gross motor skill improvement/assessment, even international funding with the UN's Sustainability goals.  And with Amico touting its Karma engine, local leaderboards, inclusive play, simplified game mechanics and communal vision, this system could pair so perfectly with what you're talking about.  I made a reference a few days back about how the controller's touch pad, haptic feedback and speakers, microphone could even be incorporated into certain games.  A third party could even go so far as to make a refreshable braille tablet to relay some information that can't quickly be relayed through voice or haptic.  That touchpad could indicate where things are on the television for the player to use the disc to navigate, rotate, shoot.. it could be pretty novel in the right hands.

While I think Intellivision need to be dead-focused on getting this platform launched and getting 600 projects wrapped up in the next 6-12 months for a successful launch window, I really do hope to hear from Intellivision on the topic as well.  Are they working with any accessibility consultants in play-testing or in discussions on game play?  Do they have potential partners in mind for an accessibility controller or any plans for marketing to the broader audience of people with disabilities.  It'd be an very interesting talk.

(If Intellivision were paying said people $25 to take home an Amico and play it for a month, they'd still complain...)

I remember a Maze game being built into the Sega Master System. It tended to be my 'fall back' game if the cart I wanted to play was giving me trouble. I think the six pack-ins are more than generous enough, but something simple like that hidden behind a simple code would be neat.

Tommy said they have been talking about making it 6 and possibly 7

He did say that yes but yesterday on his interview with OEB Pete he said that today they would announce 5 of the 6 pack in games so sounds like they decided on a number of games to help offset rising costs of the machine
