Cheers everyone here in the @Tommy Tallarico thread.

Saturday night here and guessing most everyone here is locked in so cheers!

If you don't drink beer or any booze, then raise a glass of water then.  ;-)

Hope everyone here stays safe and sane... (yeh like fireworks here in California.. miss the days of real fireworks) and we can all mosey around again like John Wayne out in the world.

Cheers!

An evening with a blonde, an excellent choice.

I am spending my evening with a petite, devilish, redhead.  Apologies for the hardcore Intellivision nudity.

I just saw the latest Q&A you did and love the examples of balanced gameplay (karma engine ?) with Pong and Shark Shark used as examples. Great idea 💡

This changes everything when playing with people of different skill levels. Games are often not fun when one is an expert and another a beginner etc .... etc I believe this is a HUGE game changer. It can make any game fun to play for all people involved. How often do I not bother playing a certain game with someone because our skill levels are vastly different ?

This needs to be communicated very strongly in the marketing and the Example with Pong explains it perfectly 😃

Yo!  For anyone interested, I'm doing a live Q&A at 7pm here:

This was one of the guys who talked about the whole Pat & Ian thing last night on his channel.

Can you post the link to this interview ? I’m trying to see the end since I missed it live. I click on it but it doesn’t work.

This isn't meant to sound mean so sorry if it does. I could probably make a Tommy Talking Points Bingo Card for as many of these I've listened to. 😋

Was there any reveals of anything we don't already know? I've watched enough of these trying to update my post with information that if I can skip it I will.

I would love to see that remade !! I loved that game !

Exactly! There are a bunch of older games that need "the new coat of paint" treatment like smurfs, zaxxon, beam rider, river raid etc.. That really would be system sellers all over again.

I'm sure covers I def prob heard.   But I grew up on.lots of music and films tv gaming  comics.   My mom and dad if they were alive today ( health reasons  between not taking care of self and work environments) my mom would be 80 and dad 70 grand mother would be like 122.

So as a small child I was exposed to sooo much.  My music taste would be mostly rock  from fats domino (I seen has last full concert ever....not counting his jazzfest performances) to chuck berry,  elvis  stone's  Hendrix. Trex, alice cooper to kiss  80s metal  , grunge to modern garage rock.

I'm a huge film nerd going back to silent fans and the early Nickelodeon  coin op wibd up films.  Til classic shorts like the stooges batman

I'm a blondie and dagwood fan from the 40s film series  which was long form precursor  to tv sitcoms but theatrical.

My only celebrity moment where I geeked out  was as a child in late 80s maybe 90.  My parents went on a trip to l.a and we passed a Hollywood nursing home.  Dunno name only bern to Los anglous  a few times.  But I see Curley joe in a wheel chair . (3rd incarnation of a curly character, 2nd born relative Curley after joe besser version ) he was the movie era stooges of the 60s and animated cartoon stooge.     I just was glued laser focused and noticed him and guessed it was him lol.

But back to topic .   I dunno if I'd say old soul.... but very much diverse in pop culture.    I did remember the really bad reboots of classic 50s sitcoms fad.  An aging beaver cleaver was just wrong.

But I feel that puppy love has been used in commercials and some movie scenes in 90s . I'm not sure where but I know I've seen and heard.  But I first heard the original version on a 45

Btw one of my all time fav films is american  graffiti

River raid zaxxon yes.

But then some need to be an entirely  new game.... one example as I appreciate  it for whatnot was at the time but  I'd just use the lusence as a cartoon and comic book property and toylne.... would be he-man    smurfs I kinda would be more so with a new experience.  Great brand  but  such great potential with an entirely  new game . Can  reboot the classics in the game in mini game form.or  special levels or as unlockables.

Thinking about licenses tommy. Have you thought about getting.popeye. not sure who.or if anyone has the game license anymore.  Nintendo did  but I think someone else made a game at one point but  nothing from that in forever.  Such an awesome property to explore in game form.

I listened to the whole thing.  Very interesting interview and excellent question and answers.    Even the off topic stuff with the music and other things happen was interesting to listen.

Wow! Talk about an unexpected turn of events...

pat-and-ian-we-lied-we-love-the-intellivision-amico.thumb.jpg.3b805caf2dd2726b0a6e3f7ae3d11529.jpg

I gotta mention cuz some guy "atari dude" was arguing about it on the live stream: In the original Amico video by Pat and Ian, Pat said the base price was $300. After Tommy corrected him than it was $200. Pat has always claimed he said $200 or $250, but now that it is up to $230 he's saying it costs $250 and he said $200-$300, and he was right all along. No, Pat, you are still off by $70. Either he has no idea what he is actually saying or he doesn't mind lying about what he said. I've never seen a guy so FOS.

Nolagamer mentioned Popeye here is a great example of not needing the most powerful system when a game is done right

this is the remake of the arcade Popeye released in 2008 in Java for mobile phones
