I just saw this video and thought it was so cool ! Tommy’s console collection is awesome !!

Having just finished watching Tiger King on Netflix and seeing the paintings in @Tommy Tallarico's house just before the shower in the video, I wonder...what Giant Wild Cat or Lion game is he working on? Maybe a Photo Safari game that was mentioned somewhere months ago? ;-)

Is Tiger King good?  My dad just started it and he said I would probably like it.  Worth the watch?

Interesting but maybe an episode or two too long, definitely not a family friendly documentary but I found it interesting as the true story rivalries and machinations unfold, not really about the animals at all.

Thanks for the heads up!

Just responded to him and retweeted.

Answered a few of the "lies" in his responses.  Of course they'll say I can't take criticism.  Um no... I can't take people LYING about the console.  :)

Looks like folks in there are split 50/50.  Although the ones that don't like it say it's just crappy mobile games and the same as an Ouya.

I wonder who else they've been listening to?

:D

From what I’ve talked to a lot of these drive-by posters, they really don’t know anything and are making fun of it just to crack jokes, kinda like the delinquents throwing water balloons from an overpass.

Are you one ofthe guys from intellivisionaries podcast?

Nope, part time Intellivision homebrew programmer, part time friend of the Canadian Intellivisionaires mouth piece/box hoarder, I was on an episode once, and somehow ended up Cheez-its shopping with another Intellivisionaire podcaster at a Portland Walmart one PRGE.

It's a train wre k after a Godzilla attack and nuclear meltdown with meth bad teeth and that's just the  beginning it gets worse or better  is all.i can say.  I'd feel safer  finding out my girlfriend got her and I on as special  guests on the jerry springer show. It's like the vcs experience

They just piss me of at this point. I haven’t even watched this yet. They are always ready to be negative. And saying you can play these on mobile devices is so ridiculous.

Behind as usual, but- I'm just under the impression at this point that they never spend any serious time with kids.

I gave my six year old niece my old Galaxy S4 so she'd quit stealing her parents phones, and filling up their SD cards with new games from the app store- she doesn't always play them, she downloads whatever strike her fancy. Now, I password-locked & hid the appstore icon on this phone- and she still more than doubled the apps tied to my account in 2 days (since this was an S4, you've got an idea of how many years I've had the account.) Similarly, my mom let her borrow her tablet- I asked her if that was a good idea, did she lock down her accounts? "It's fine", she says, "I don't think I even have Google Play on this." A couple hours later, niece goes home & mom checks her email- DOZENS of app download confirmations. From Amazon. Which wasn't locked down- kid spent $20 (thankfully not everything she got was paid.)

You tell me there's a doo-dad I can give this kid, to play mobile-type games, where she CAN'T go hog-wild in the app store? This is a selling point for me! I'm honestly a little bit impressed these guys can't see any sort of market for this... it's not gonna change the world, but there is an appeal there.

Yeah.  One of them said he wouldn't get it because he doesn't like monthly subscriptions.   That's a new one.   :)

We hear that same kind of story a LOT in our focus group testing.  One mom was complaining that her 10 year old son bought over $800 of games on the Switch!!  When she contacted Nintendo they said there was nothing they could do.  She was so pissed.  I would have given her money back in a second.  Unbelievable.   Shameful.

Thank you for sharing your story.  You really nailed it as well as why "they" don't get it.

My Wife and I just watched the whole thing.

I didnt know people could possess and own exotic cats like that.

Mostly we learned how many bizarre and crazy people there are in our country.

In other words,it was highly entertaining to watch!

Got my order in. Order Number: #01693 (placed on March 31, 2020 at 10:21 AM PT).  I believe that is 1,693 orders of 1 or more machines total in 21 minutes.  That is amazing.  Congrats Tommy.  Absolutely bang up job by you and your fellow employees.

Congrats on the pre order so far!

Any trends on color choice?

You mentioned new merchandise will be hitting the store soon; any ETA?

In the end, not only did my wife buy into Amico, she literally bought it for us while I was at work.  Love it when a plan comes together.

Congrats again

For those of you on Twitter.... Pat attacked me once again so I responded.

His post to me:

And my response...

QUICK!  Someone get me that Michael Jackson Thriller popcorn .gif!

I'm not going to respond any more.  I said my peace and asked them to do an interview yet again.

Done with those guys.  This is the first time I've responded to them since my video response (7 months ago).

Unless they take me up on my offer to interview me and ask all their tough questions... they are on ignore.

So how does one get invited to participate in your focus group testing (asking for a friend)?

I watched it also and I must say Tommy, you have a lot of cool stuff.   Quite the collection.

Cool to see all those old consoles; but, with them all, how do you play pool?
