I saw the question asked but did not see the answer. With  the founders edition , will the extras come separately from the console ? I’m asking in case I want to keep my console unopened for my collection since I bought 2 FE ?

Yeah.  You won't need to open the VIP console in order to get the other stuff.

i wonder how many consoles have to be sold to break even or be profitable ? As a small company, I assume they don’t  need to sell millions of units to keep going and be profitable although I hope they sell many, many millions !! And how many copies on average each game has to sell to be considered a success ? I know it will vary depending on the game but on average .....just thinking 🤔

A few hundred thousand consoles and games typically break even around 10,000 - 15,000 copies.

It was without a doubt one of the worst interviews I have ever heard.  Tony has no clue how to ask good questions and cover interesting topics.  I am amazed at how awful it was, and I can't believe Tommy went through with it.  I can't get that time back unfortunately.

Never let it be said that I hide from any interviewer and no one asks me tough questions that I don't answer.   :)

I am Assuming a sealed FE could be worth a lot in years to come for a collector. This depends  on the level of success the console achieves and many other factors. You never know.

Of course!  One of the best investments @cmart604 has made.  He's no dummy!   :)

That’s a good question. Will the FE be resealed after they are signed ?

No.  Not in shrinkwrap.

So, just wanted to say hi to everyone. Been a 13 day work streak for me. Looking forward to a day off.

Got the PS2 compilation in yesterday. It was amazing going back and playing Thunder Castle again for the first time in ages!

Shark! Shark! is sooo much fun with my son. Looking forward to the Amico version more now!

Also, is it wierd that 14 people are on youtube waiting for tonight's interview, and it's still 25 mins out? My guess is it's all folks from on here.

Amazing news on the VIP! 10K + FE are strong numbers, doubly so when you consider it's basically been word-of-mouth (or, it's digital equivalent).

Additionally, I wanted to thank Michael Garvey for a random thought that popped in my head at work a few days ago.

It was a particularly rough morning, and my crew was looking a little down. I was in the middle of a 13 day stretch (thankfully over today), and thought, 'what's a good morale-boosting line for this situation?'

Then it hit:

'Gents, let's make John Alvarado proud!'

They had no clue what I was talking about. I'm still chuckling to myself about it, a little.

Incidentally, when explaining it to my assistant later in the day, I showed him a few of the Meet Amico! videos. He pre-ordered a glacier white VIP package.

I'd like to think I sold him on it, but in truth, it was Missle Command!

Anyone who can spread the word of John Alvarado is a true friend of mine.

Also something about an Amico and Tommy..sorry I wasn't paying attention to those parts...but John Alvarado...yes .

😅🤣😂

Seriously though I'm so glad you're able to rest now..that many days on is rough.. I hope you and you're crew can get some much needed and well-deserved rest.

How do you manage to let an interview like that just slide off you and then drop back here like nothing happened?  You rock, sir!  Thanks for keeping the positivity flowing here while others elsewhere wallow in negativity, we need and appreciate it!!

Always try to keep things as positive as I can.  I was bullied as a small kid because of my height.  So I quickly learned that if people hit me... I'll stand my ground and hit back.  I'm not the silent type and I don't mind confrontation.  Not gonna run, hide or ignore them.  I love standing up to bullies cause it drives them insane.   :)

Nice ! You will have quite a few hardcore fans like myself  that will buy most if not all of the games released (both digital and physical for me)  so break even should be a piece of cake 🍰

I like Amico Army better.  Although we do seem to have a lot of Navy folks around these parts... so maybe that's a big no no!   :)

I say no to both! Yes, I guess I was kind of sort of but not really but technically still in the Navy. Insert typical USMC = Navy Men's Department joke here if you wish. Or not. Amico Marine Corps is super awkward, too, so... Anyway, my grandfather was in the Army in WW2 and fought against the Japanese on Guadalcanal (ironic that I am here now) and my other grandfather was in the Navy in WW2 as a PBY crewman, and I have a whole crapload of respect for all you non-Marines out there!

Anyway, you probably noticed my new picture and custom status. Yes, I did something somewhat dumb yesterday. Yes, I can no longer really compare the Amico to this anymore since I now can't call it crap anymore since obviously I know at least one person who wants one of these: me. Behold my new PC Engine setup. Yes, I am a damn fool and I still hate myself for buying this monstrous thing.

Anyway, that was an awkward interview. I missed half of it again because of the time zone difference... again. Oh well. I also forgot what you guys talked about already. Oh well.

Wanted to show that for the first time during E3.  Still need to keep that under wraps for something special.  :)

Understandable. Looking forward to seeing it, even if it's just the prototype! I mentioned it over in the other thread, but I'm guessing you guys experimented with the colors on the woodgrain. Was there ever a render of the woodgrain with the position of the woodgrain where the gold currently is and the gold where the woodgrain currently is? Basically so it's like the original Intellivision with the gold on the top and the wood on the side.

I'm guessing there is a reason that you made it the way it is. Most likely because it might have looked ugly the other way. Still, I'd love to see it if you have a render of it like that! There was another question that I wanted to ask but I forgot as I was typing. Hopefully I remember, but probably won't since I almost never remember things like that.

Seems Tony got his interview style from Neil Cavuto.

I commend you yet again Tommy.  It has to be so frustrating to try and hold logical dialog with someone with such bias and lack of reasoning (kinda like playing with a yo-yo without the string); especially with regards to something you are so passionate about, have put so much time and effort into and when you truly know that you have a great product, team and plan.  I’m glad that you continue to focus on the positive folks and maintain such great energy, and refuse to let folks like this pull you down.

I think I'll be buying mostly everything  with exception to edutainment title that's geared towards small kids

Hey tommy will is adults get some edutainment games???  I'm not anti edutainment  games,  but I have no kids and  neither do my closest friends but can totally get down with fun educational games.

10K units.

Okay. Thanks. The guy doing the article said: "Tallarico, the creator of Video Games Live, announced in 2018 that he had acquired the rights to the console and its original games, and he planned to relaunch Intellivision as a retro brand." I parsed out the words in the sentence so the parts germain to my question are in bold. Do you have any comment on what is meant by "retro brand" and if that's what you said? I just have no idea what that means and would like to know what that means to you. Honestly, sounds like a misunderstanding on his/her part.

True story, my kid (who just wrapped up with hockey) got pulled over to his bench during a game by the ref who complained to the coach “your player just called me an idiot”.  My son responded “no I didn’t, I asked you if you are an idiot”... Yea, he got a 2 minute rest.

Now normally my son would have had some additional off-ice penance to pay for something like this as well (by his parents), but my son’s teammate was getting wailed on and the refs were literally just standing by watching; so my son went in and pulled the other teams player off his teammate (who was laying on the ice at this point), at which time the ref sprung into action and assessed a penalty to my son (no punches, just separated the 2), which is what prompted my son’s inquisitive dialog.

In my opinion it was a rhetorical question 🤣

Oh, and the coach? He ended up making my son Assistant Captain the following season and then hired him for his new business start up (now on hold due to the virus).

I miss youth hockey, so many great times and stories...

First, I'd like to apologize in advance because I'm going to be slightly negative. ;)

I may lack imagination (which would be a first to be honest), but I have a hard time picturing a Funko Pop running man figure. The running man is basically a very specific pixelart figure seen from the side, and one would probably not identify him if he was shown in front view, not running. Moreover, Funko Pop figures also share a very specific, recognizable shape that make them a little too similar from each other in my opinion. I don't know them very well, but I've always seen them in the same position, standing still. So unless you manage to make it slightly 'pixelated' or blocky, a Funko Pop running man figure may look like a blank Funko Pop figure (as if someone forgot to paint it). 🤔

Not bad, I only counted three defensive hard-core elitist haters doing round-the-block drive-by's like 100 times each. Typical. Everyone else seemed neutral or positive, just like all the videos.
