This is why I dont question. Ive seen alot of consoles come and go. And the ones that failed I never bought till later. Mostly because the games that came out were not that appealing. And back then I was really limited on money. The reason I'm 100% behind this is because its ran by people who have a track record in the industry. Even more than Microsoft and Sony when they got started. Also I really do miss the couch lol but up to 8 player I'm in.

Well, this place turned into a mess over the past day or so.

About your Genesis games that we were talking about earlier... your subliminal messaging in those games has been discovered! Insert Metal Gear ! sound effect here if you wish. By the way, that ! is probably the single best example of good sound design in any game ever. It conveys everything you need to know and also what you need to do to fix the situation in less than one second and without words. It is absolutely perfect. It also has absolutely nothing to do with this.

So yeah, it seems that the TurboGrafx mini is now getting into people's hands through Amazon Japan, which apparently has it in stock and still ships abroad, but Amazon USA still doesn't have it and only ship in the USA right now from what I can tell. I want to buy books and games and stuff and I can't and it's really annoying, but understandable. I suppose I could just ship stuff to a forwarding company, but then I'd pay more for shipping to Japan than for the actual stuff itself, most likely, and definitely more than I'd spend on shipping at Amazon.

Hopefully it gets sorted out for you guys and also so that you can release on 10/10 like you originally planned. Still, I can agree that it would be better to delay than to make it more expensive. I keep saying this, but I'm really hoping that the world gets back to the way it's supposed to be soon.

The world has now realized what happens when you depend on a single source for certain things. In some cases, China is the only country in the world that can actually produce certain things because other countries no longer have the ability to do so because they lack the equipment that China has. Or so I have heard, anyway. The Switch is now basically a collector's item. I wonder how long this will continue.

I was not talking about you versus Pat & Ian, but several AtariAge members like myself were attacked for absolutely no reason except unjustified paranoia. I was blamed ("Stop being part of the problem") for watching videos I have never watched! I'm not denying a few AA members have become haters and hold a stupid grudge against you - I know at least one (their name starts with an F and rhymes with 'taco') and told them several times I disapproved (they were banned for suggesting you to become an AA subscriber by the way 🤔).

I'm just saying a lot more of them were attacked for no good reason. They probably posted bacon pictures and funny stuff because they were afraid everything they posted would be scrutinized as a proof of some secret evil agenda against Amico. Well, they probably shouldn't have since they were still suspected anyway. 😑

Interesting story about the "other system" coming out this year.  This spike in component prices is hitting everyone, and Tommy seems to be the only one open enough to admit it.

It looks like this holiday, PS5/XBSX will be in the $500 range. PS4/XB1 will drop to $200ish range.  And I'm sure the Switch will stay at $300. Amico will be competitive at $225-250 as it will be "new".  It's just too bad they will be limited and hard to find for awhile.

Here's an article that just came out about PS5 pipeline (the same thing I had said about Sony & Microsoft in my Game Daily article/interview last week.)  And no... I wasn't the source in this story... a ton of people on the inside have been hearing this.  But again... ya never know!  Maybe Sony & Microsoft are just playing a cat & mouse game and purposely leaking info like this.  Billions of dollars are at stake... so who knows!

Thanks for the further explanation and I appreciate the time you spent considering English is not your first language as you mentioned.

I would however like to point out that 2 of the 4 items you mentioned above are actually true.

I'm not going to post screenshots and bring up all the crap again.  But yes... EVERY person who has been banned from this thread and other Amico threads absolutely continues to post negative whiny stuff on YouTube videos and Twitter (especially their heroes Pat & Ian) like the scorned children they are.  Sometimes on Reddit as well.  I know because I responded to them a few times.  And again... I'm not going to give you the list of folks... but it is literally every person who was banned here.  They are unable to stop thinking about us.

I just wanted you to be aware.

Having a live stream is really the only option... but if I can get a big celebrity that could help.  Of course if money was no object I'd get something like Aerosmith or a Video Games Live show happening throughout the announcements/stream... that would be pretty epic!

But trying not to spend that kind of money at this point... especially when we don't know how many units we'll be able to produce this year.

Anyway... please throw out some ideas and try to keep the "budget" in check.

Yeah... it's funny because I was called a "liar" by some folks on Twitter this week... saying I was just trying to stir up drama and get our name in the same conversation as Sony & Microsoft (when I referenced that they are having the same issues). 

I've been talking about this for over a month in here... and like you said... the only one who doesn't mind talking about it and letting people know what's really going on behind the scenes. 

Yet some folks will try to use what I say against me in hopes the project will fail.

I'll be the first to apologize if you've felt attacked. Occasionally there's a level of paranoia about people's true intentions because a lot of people love to be critical and seem to enjoy wishing failure lately. There's only one location the "footbath" thing took off - and that's from AtariAge
 

I should have clarified, out of the "dozen" number of people you mentioned that were banned - not all - but several have been seen commenting on Pat and Ian's videos and have been seen elsewhere provoking negative discussion. They tried to do it in this very thread (especially around Founder's Edition time). Several more of them used similar arguments that Pat and Ian used in the threads on AtariAge like in the Independent thread. So either they are of the same mindset, or they were just getting their ideas from them. And while maybe not every single one of them comments on Pat and Ian's crap, that mindset (especially the "footbath") prevails and lives on AtariAge. A lot of them just want another Taco thread so they can collectively mock something everyday. There's no way to prove it but several other commentors also mention the "footbath" and it only popped up on Pat and Ian's videos after that discussion started on here.

I just wanted to help clarify for you, there is a certain level of anecdotal evidence - and while that may not be direct proof for you, because some aren't going to use the same usernames they do on here that they do on Youtube, it's pretty evident what's happening with a certain group. They also despise getting called out in this thread, because as much as they deserve to be called out, it's pointless. So I'm going to drop it here.

Again, I apologize if you've ever felt attacked by me.

I recommend posting extremely detailed information (with as many screenshot as possible) about the games, console, controllers, menu system, Karma Engine, and John Alvarado's personal details here in the forum.  Otherwise we can't really properly advise you on which bits of info to release in what order.

I have a story about horse racing I've been wanting to share.  For those who played the original, I'm sure you remember...when you were the jockey, you could crack the whip twice during a single race.  When you did this, the horse sprinted and sped up for a short period of time.  After the second whip, the horse would speed up but would then slow to a halt after the sprint, totally out of gas.  So, if you cracked the second whip too soon, you were screwed...you had to time it so the horse sprinted through the finish line, or else he would slow down to a slow trot and everyone else would pass you.  One friend we used to play with always whipped too soon, he would get this big lead and then his horse would run out of gas early and he'd finish last by a long-shot.  Well, we started using the terminology in life, "pony whipping."  For example, when we were old enough to drink...if someone started drinking too much too early in the night, we'd say: "don't pony whip", meaning pace himself or he might pass out early.  Eventually, the terminology simply applied to when you were tired, not necessarily from drinking or anything else in particular.  To this day, when I get together with these friends, we still use this terminology, 40 or so years later.  If we are really tired, you might say, I am pony-whipped...or simply, I am PWed.  Good stuff.  Loved the Intellivision and wish I had the Amico now!

Yeah, I read this one over on Gematsu earlier, as well. I wonder how Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are planning on handling the current situation with production. Right now it seems that everyone who is trying to make electronics is more or less in the same situation. Now that the Switch is sold out in the US and Japan, people are turning to building their own using official Nintendo replacement parts and their own off-the-shelf parts. I'm not sure what's happening in Europe, but I imagine it's similar over there. Curious to see what happens with the PS5 and XHumidifier Series X later this year.

Time to copy Nintendo and do an Intellivision Direct, I think.

I forgot something important now that I reread this: prerecorded and edited video (example: Nintendo Direct) is way better than a livestream.

Remember the Star Citizen 2016 holiday livestream? That shameful abomination was an embarrassment to everyone, including the viewers. That's why CIG deleted it from Youtube very quickly. You can still find it, of course, since someone saved it and put it back on Youtube after it got deleted. That was and remains the only time I have ever been ashamed of caring about Star Citizen, and I was there only a few weeks after it was announced, so I've seen EVERYTHING that they have done. That was the most shameful failure that I can remember.

I'm also of the opinion that something that's already been recorded and edited properly looks infinitely more professional, as well, so there is also that aspect.
