I hope this helps clarify things so people can see the whole picture. 👍

Yes, it does. But I don't think Flojomojo is as mean as most of you think. I've always appreciated this AA member precisely because they were very "gaming system agnostic"; actually I can't name someone else who loves Atari, SEGA, Nintendo and even mobile gaming equally.

Even being a Switch fan? 😅 (which I'm not by the way, I'm a 3DS fan)

I have nothing against being a Switch fan as long as they don’t troll other consoles’ forums, etc. 🙂

Yeah... we're definitely needing to change our announcement plans.  Still talking about it.

Big meeting later today about it.  If anyone has any ideas... now's the time to let me know!

Having a live stream is really the only option... but if I can get a big celebrity that could help.  Of course if money was no object I'd get something like Aerosmith or a Video Games Live show happening throughout the announcements/stream... that would be pretty epic!

:)

But trying not to spend that kind of money at this point... especially when we don't know how many units we'll be able to produce this year.

Anyway... please throw out some ideas and try to keep the "budget" in check.

I just have to say: if you guys are doing a video presentation, please do not go the pre-recorded "Direct" route. You don't hear anybody talking about PlayStation or Xbox's past videos...And I'm half-convinced that the sterile Nintendo Directs nowadays are only popular because of their stellar reputation from the early Directs.

If it's live, then you can also have fun opportunities for audience participation. Say, the more follows Intellivision gets, the more details get dropped on-stream?

On a completely different note, are retail displays in consideration? It's always really cool to go to a particular retail chain and play the demos you saw online!

I always had a big crush on Paul. He's total 80s!

That is a phenomenal video.  I used that to introduce my kids to the song.  It is since and forevermore known to them as 'That Paul Rudd Song' when they hear it. :-)

I met Paul Rudd when I was working on Parks and Recreation.

I said hello to him while we were standing outside an ice cream truck with no one else around.

He was very nice and told me to have a great day.

I wish I knew him well enough to ask if he would do Amico ads,but that is not nearly the case!😄

I also like their Too Much Time On My Hands Styx rendition he and Fallon did.  That one is also great.

A couple of necessary revelations:

- I apologize to @CurlyQ , he appeared just after @Guy was banned and I thought it was (another) troll. However, Guy was banned after I reported his account to the mods. He was the second account of one of the users banned from this thread.

I never even knew this forum existed until I read about it in a Facebook post about a month ago, completely unaware of the drama that takes place in these forums.

There's a good bunch of people in here and it's a great resource to get the latest behind-the-scenes info.

No need for an apology.

Cheers!  🍺😁👍

Wow  Xanadu reference..   A guilty pleasure. And I cannot explain why I like it so much.

Does anyone have any guilty pleasures with any bad movies or games out there?

I'll Start -

Movie - I like both versions of Overboard. - Double whammy there. I could go on. I like LOTS of bad movies.

Game - Many Many...  I'll give you two - Superman for the 2600.  Or Way of the Warrior for the 3DO.

My guilty pleasure is that my favorite film studio is Full Moon Entertainment a B movie horror/sci-fi film company I find a lot of their movies fun original takes on things for example their vampire film series Subspecies is one of my all time favorite vampire films and Dark Angel: The Ascent is such a unique take on heaven & hell and sin & forgiveness I think I could watch that movie every day and never tire of it.  I own about half the films they have put out over the years really hoping to own them all eventually.

If you didn't chance to catch this interview it is definitely worth it for the personal stories and for the slimiest move I have ever seen. The PUPodcast actually PM this YouTuber, Mekel Kasanova, telling him he was a shill for even talking to Tommy. Oh and TonyTGD was in the chat lying, once again, pretending to be someone else and asking about himself (of course). I am really seriously getting concerned for these people, I mean really - no wink emoji on this one. Anyway Tommy's smackdown of both is *epic* so have a watch.

Just got through with my live stream podcast with the #1 podcast in Hawaii.

The interviewer said on air that Ian contacted him on Twitter yesterday via PM and called him a shill and sell out because he was interviewing me.

That's the level these guys are at in hopes of destroying us.  Pathetic and shameful.

Here's the interviewer talking about it:

I'll respectfully disagree with you on this one as well.  He was nothing but nasty to me and his only goal in this thread was to cause as much chaos as possible.  He repeatedly broke forum rules, was warned a number of different times (and in numerous Amico threads) and eventually was BANNED from all of them.  He did that to himself.  Nothing to do with us.  The mods here give plenty of warnings.

Between Ian and Pat, Ian definitely has a lot more serious problems dealing with his emotions so I could see him doing that. They are using this as a "social media" war to get attention because no one wants interviews with them.

Edit: Except, you know, YOU DO, but they won't do it.

As a whole this site doesn't have a ton of drama from my experience. Sometimes certain forums and threads have more than others. I would encourage you to explore beyond just this thread if you have any interest in retro. I mainly stick to 2600 and 7800 and have great experiences there and have loved some great programming in homebrews. I encourage you to check out some other threads!

So this troll came by my stream to talk smack. He's also been spewing blatant lies about the Amico on his channel. Figured I'd give him a taste of his own medicine...

Microtransactions?   Man... where do these folks come up with this stuff?!!?

Now they're just saying the exact opposite of what we are as I guess they've run out of ideas as I've answered all their questions.  :)

You KNOW Tommy is going to bring this up on ReviewTechUSA Monday - I can't wait to hear what Rich thinks about that. I mean calling out ANY one unfairly is bad, but Rich has the viewers - picking on a smaller YouTuber, I can't imagine that is going to go over well with his 860K viewers. Wouldn't be funny if the Amico is what sunk the PUPodcast instead of the other way around?

My apologies for the dumb question but  Is there a way for me to be notified whenever you do a live stream?  I feel like I'm missing out on some stuff. ✌️

The best thing is to follow me on Twitter @TommyTallarico or Facebook.  I always post there.  Or... the Intellivision Facebook or Twitter pages.

Thanks for the support!

I'm totally Delusional despite all the evidence that she and my kid don't exist I continue to have a deep conviction that they exist. It doesn't help that I suffer from Hallucinations in which I can see both them running around the house. Out of all my problems though, I wish I didn't also have the auditory hallucinations to go with my visual ones. That way I wouldn't have to listen to her bicker at me if I don't take out the trash or whatever.

My mental health stability or maybe instability as some like to claim aside, I've been hoping to hear about the baseball announcement for some time. Out of all the baseball games there are two of my favorites that stick out, RBI on NES and the first Ken Griffy Jr game on the SNES. Both simple and fun gameplay that I think the Amico could replicate.

Hey there... you never answered my questions in your "independent" thread.  Was wondering if you were ever going to get to that?  Been waiting for response and continued discussion.

p.s.  I don't believe the poster was inferring that your wife really existed, but that you are using her to voice your own concerns.  That's how I read that comment anyway.  I could be wrong.

Anyway... please let me know the answers to my questions.

Thanks.

Wait!  I got an idea!  What if I pretend like it's a live stream with a fake background and podium and then I'll put fake silhouettes in the audience!

Wait... what?  Idea already taken?

DAMN!!!

:D

Seriously though.  Maybe a combination of Live Presentation (with some entertainment) AND pre-recorded video would be cool.  Best of both worlds.

Just don't do anything to feed into the hallucinations like putting the toilet seat down.  It's a descent into madness.

Most definitely. What really sucks is when she beats me at games. It's like she's ALL IN MY HEAD! 😳

I would say, do most of what you were planning for E3 in a livestream or pre-recorded format. It makes the most sense to focus on a few big things.

Maybe the big 3

The Console - what makes it different, the design, the lighting system, specs, charging, ports, etc.

The Controllers - what makes them what they are, lighting system, touch screen

The Games - so, along with everything else, a big games blowout, with footage of them being played, the controller interaction, etc.

That to me would be an E3 worthy presentation. But I'm sure you've already thought of all this!

Need to add curation, you buy it/you own it (all of it - Wouldn't that be something),  game price/simplicity/quality (0 shovelware).
