How did I not know this existed? Bless you "TJ" - my Christmas present is delivered - you can mark me off your list.

He does an excellent Tommy Shaw.  The whole thing is well done.  My only issue is the video is too short and they cut out on the important guitar solo where Tommy shines.  ;-)

Tommy,

Will extra controllers and the charging base be available for preorder? Since I preordered the FE, I would like to be able to have extra controllers available if possible. Though, I should be able to use the phone app correct? Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

Jeffrey

I definitely would like to have 4 controllers on day 1 if possible and eventually 8 controllers When more colors are available. I prefer not to use phones for controllers if possible !! I want to have the full experience. I’m also wondering which Color of  controllers will be available on day 1. I will take 2 of each !!! 😀

I would as well. I’m hoping that the charging base and controllers will be available day 1. Not wanting to use my second machine without a charging base and just for the controllers right off the bat if possible.

Me too!  :)

We had to put it on hold for about another week cause we've been working on a new video DROPPING TOMORROW (Kept it a secret!  Surprised you all!  HA!).

No new game footage.  More of a in-depth "What is Amico" video AND... will be introducing our VP of Global Marketing Cara Acker!  Came from Mattel and headed up the Disney line.  So if you've ever purchased a Frozen toy for anyone... you can blame Cara.   :)

Here's a little taste of the video I thought you might like.

This is pretty awesome. Thanks for updating us Tommy. This is the kind of marketing that's going to drive a lot of hype. Excited to see more.

I would if I could... but unfortunately we only make about 25% - 30% margin on all the stuff we sell (because of the quality and nature of "print on demand") so I don't think my CFO would like me too much.  :)

perhaps in a few years then after you've sold tens of millions of units. although by that time i'll probably have already been killed off by the new world order purges.  :-D

Played that one for hours too. Also played a lot of Earl Weaver Baseball. Don't recall which system I played those on. My best guess is Atari 400/800 and the Commodore Amiga.

And you're right, it's the gameplay that really matters. Don't care about the cheerleaders, game announcers,  etc.

I know this post is a few days old but I'm a huge fan of baseball games and Hardball was awesome on the Apple 2/C64 and Amiga (and later years loved the genesis version too) but it took YEARS for a baseball game to come even close to what Earl Weaver Baseball was offering on the Amiga.  All fitting on a floppy disk, the best use of the "say" voice in any video/computer game IMHO.  Although I never checked the full credits list, I wouldn't be surprised Trip Hawkins himself had a hand in this game considering he was such a baseball fan.

Would it be in bad taste if we were to speculate and provide our guesses on the secret Tommy may reveal  soon about the controllers, like blaring out the punchline of someone else's joke?

hoping not...

1) Controller face hinges up revealing an original Intellivision controller as a secondary

2) Touch screen can receive IE’s new, to be announced streaming service

3) They’re working on the next iteration controller that includes a camera with 5 separate lenses
4) They communicate with the master component via 6G

5) The screen can be folded (without breaking)

6) They’re HOLOGRAPHIC!

7) They can double as wakie-talkies - with a direct line to Tommy

8- They can accommodate augmented reality

9) You have to put quarters in them to play the retro games (and will randomly steal them)

10) They are Atmos enabled

11) They each have their own personality, like: JARVIS, KITT, L3-37, MU-TH-R, HAL9000, skyNet (hope none of the last 3)

12) Comes with a headset adaptor so a pair of controllers can be turned into Amico-VR!

Earl Weaver Baseball was done by the same people that did Intellivision World Series Baseball at Mattel back in 1983.  Don Daglow was a big baseball fan and wrote baseball simulations as far back as the early 1970s. Eddie Dombrower is also credited with programming on both World Series and Earl Weaver.

It's expected that Amico Baseball will more resemble the original 1978 intellivision MLB Baseball (and it's update) gameplay.  There might be more than one baseball game on Amico.

What's Paul Rudd up to these days?  Everyone likes him and he has to be old enough...  HOLY HELL!  Paul Rudd is 51?? Do some people just not age?

He would be a good advocate for any music-related games based on his previous experience...

Ahh yeah.  We haven't seen the back of the controller yet or cracking it open to see more of the inside.  Maybe it will contain a spider inside, that'll be a big surprise.  (Disclaimer: Don't put spiders in controllers please.  Or snakes...)

We've seen it a few times, actually. You can see it in a few of Tommy's interviews on Youtube when he shows the controller. I don't remember which ones, though.

Edit: here's the render of the updated controller. There are a few videos on Youtube where you can see the back of the controller, and I imagine someone who is more knowledgeable than me remembers where you can see the actual thing itself.

Thank you guys beyond words for even making the Intellivision hats and sweatshirts,I have not until now had the opportunity to own either of those.

I would have paid full price, but intellivision Entertainment was kind enough to offer 25% off of already outstanding merchandise.

Awesome stuff!!!😃👍

Not directly Amico related but congrats to TJ "Santa" Ferreira for hitting 1,300 YouTube subscribers! A fellow Amiga & Amico enthusiast (as well as, Sinclair and a bunch of other stuff too). Well deserved!

Y'know what else I watch a lot of is some of the old Larry King interviews.  He had some AMAZING guests.  The Marlon Brando stuff is priceless!  Jerry Seinfeld also great.

Larry might be next for the "Pat and Ian" treatment.  They don't like shills.

Yah.. I am silly but the world for us happens once so make it the best one it can be!

TJ

ps.... I have not shaved or did my spring beezer cut yet for warmer weather to come... and told my friends until this whole corona thing is over, I won't... so will be interesting to see if I am ZZTop Santa in another month!  lol.  Damn my beard is getting long.

There are some interviews with the back shown.  Wait until you see my interview with Tommy.  I ask him about the back and he goes into discussion a lot about the design decisions.

I will get it out as soon as possible...gotta work with my sons on that end.

🙂

By the way, thanks @Tommy Tallarico for a great interview.

Great.  Now some "unknown buyer" has just secured orders from every retailer through June 2021.  If I ever find the culprit.... if only we had a clue..
