Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Interesting isn't it.

Maybe we do know what we're doing after all.

:)

Dorkalicous and the EZ Gs hate this coming to light because it makes it obvious Intellivision is on to something. And will argue otherwise in that a ceo shouldn't bring it up at all.

Remember lust for darkness with women being raped that Nintendo allowed to be on their store or the other game that was released on eshop rated E for everyone but had to be removed due to mature content?  Nintendo is shaping up to be a modern Atari 2600 in quality.

I'm not a fan of the classic Mattel "this is what this game  is about in the most generic and boring description possible" naming of games as some on here are. I'm more for a clever dad joke as a name. It's okay! You can "Tank Me Later".

*tallies up the 'Likes' to 'Hahas' ratio*

Hmm, seems this joke didn't... tank....

Cue banjos

Okay, maybe I'll let everybody in on one secret, since the banjo stereotype is an outdated reference to a 50 year old movie (before Jon Voight had that convertible & sold it to George Costanza, and before Ronny Cox lost his eyeballs in Total Recall)... We usually listen to dance music nowadays. 😅

Don't forget Super Dave Osborne as well!

:)

I love Super Dave!

His show was pure comedy gold. His stunts always going hilariously and horribly wrong, and then hearing his 'I'm OK' with a thumbs up after he is brutally mangled :D

Exactly! And Emerson named their Arcadia 2001 game Tanks-A-Lot instead.

Even Shark! Shark!'s copycat PC game 20 years later "Feeding Frenzy" was a better name.

Fun Fact:  J Allard's brother was the one that did that game and Shark! Shark! was one of their favorite games growing up which is why he did it.  It was the inspiration for Feeding Frenzy!

I heard the developer of Rigid Force Deluxe today on an Interview Podcast. He made the game in his free time after work. The Voices in the game were from http://lisa-spricht.de/

if you want to contact him: https://www.com8com1.com/games/rigid-force-redux

He said everywhere in the game there are homages to the 80`s Shmups and if the game sells well on consoles he can male a DLC cause he still has many Ideas for this shmup. The next game will be something different and will be out earlier cause he has now his own company. He is very proud of the Switch version where he made the game in smooth 60 Frames with the Unity Engine. He said that was hard to make and lot of indie developer fail with smooth 60 Frames on the Switch.

His Name is: Marcel Rebensdoft

Lutz Osterkorn was the one from Factor 5 that contacted him after he got the game on steam.

The console ports have different things that he changed after the steam comments.

And Question for Tommy. Do you add white shirts also to the shop soon?

So watch now the newest Pete Videos on You Tube :)

New Switch Trailer:

Awesome!  Thanks!   We're on it!

After the various Kickstarters I've done and 550+ Video Games Live post show meet & greets with anywhere from 500 - 1,000 people... I can easily do around 750 - 1,000 in one hour.

:)

Especially when he's a bunch of helpers lined up... half a dozen or so people to unbox them, pass him the console to sign, then another half a dozen to box them up and put all the extra goodies with them. It would be a lot more, but we've got to be properly distanced from each other. 😂

Daniel Ibbertson (Slope's Game Room) just released a "Complete History" video on the Point Blank series, and apparently there's a new entry that's currently only in the arcades:

Don't forget you have to unbox and re-box all those though too, but assume you will get some help and “assembly line” the process.

Please be sure to leave at least one in the chamber for me, if I can ever get the chance to meet up with you, my VIP in hand.

I think I'll just take a seat on the assembly line in China and start signing away!

Lets hope THIS doesn't happen!!

:D

It's a great game I picked it up on Xbox and it's one of the best R-type style games I have ever played. It deserves to sell way more than 3000 copies, but sadly the shmup market is brutal which really depresses me.

Sounds like a perfect game to really shine on Amico!

I had Hans in Germany already send an e-mail and I guess he's really good friends with the CEO of the company that published it!  So hopefully a good chance we'll be seeing this on Amico.

Tommy,

We need a Super Dave videogame for Amico.  Lol.

We actually have something similar in the works... except with clowns and other circus folk.

I wonder if there is any way to bribe @CurlyQ to whip up a @Blarneo's "Tanks-A-Lot" Armor Battle cover?  A good dad joke deserves better than to be held down by 'the man'. ;)

I wish we could have chairs on assembly line here USA.  I remembered that they showed that video during orientation for a job I had.  I thought they were kidding.

man you move fast brother! but seriously that type of game has a place on the Amico, because you can create an entire spectrum of difficulty from super easy for beginners  to insanely hardcore
