Did anyone notice the post on FB in the Intellivision Invasion group about the Glacier White being available for preorder on Amazon Italy? 🤔

Another building game that might work on Amico is an Erector set.  It could be part of the edutainment category.

Maybe that is the sex game the other guy was hoping for

Badaboom, ding!

It will irritate the hell out of them because one of their made up talking points has once again crashed & burned. However they will just move on to another pulled from their ass point. This is how you can tell a hater vs a skeptic - the hater will *never* like the Amico even if using it was a vaccine against Covid and it shot gold coins out at you once an hour. They are mad that they think it threatens their personal precious favorite console or are horrified that Tommy actually confronted them doing their usual anonymous bullying on the Internet or some other feature about the system has struck a nerve personally they don't want to accept. They are personally vested in it, to the point of following everything it goes on about it, day & night - the hatred consumes them.

However I am just looking forward to a fun game console I can play with my family. I will be having fun while they fume. Who's got the better life? :)

They are just going to shift the goal posts to something else.  Here's the first ten I could think of at the top of my head.

"this boot up sequence confirms it, the console is amateur hour X 10!"

"we don't see the cables in the back, who knows if it's not a PC under that table?"

"Called it, MOBILE TECH!"

When it eventually sells out the first batch released:  "They call that sales?!?"

"system for mommies and their 5 year olds... I'm out!"

"the games shown proves it's an underpowered POS"

"there are no Mario or Halo games here, still a pass!"

"Who wants to play sandbag in the hole! Mother F... sandbag in the hole!!  NO ONE!!!"

"The led lighting on the console is there to distract us from the shit system and shit games"

"the controller is still stupid, put a real controller and maybe we'll consider it"

Maybe we should help them out, make a list of the probable goal posts moving excuses they will fall back on, then when we hear it, we can say "hey, that's #12!"

I don't think I can be any clearer on my own friggin opinion here.  I don't care if it's not a PS4/XBO beater. I don't care if there is no halo/mario beater (at launch anyway ;) )?  So what   I don't care if some of the games are even "edutainment" titles because I know the games I'm interested in are well represented.  I don't care if the controller doesn't have a 4" shaft that might make some people happy to hold onto, what's important is that each of these games is designed with THIS controller in mind so they should play just fine.  I'm glad the LED lighting is supposed to be tied to some gameplay features.

I just want it to be fun and everything I've seen from the early games themselves are right up my alley. Even the team seems totally engineered on this fun factor as seen in these little awesome videos.  Fun folks, fun!  Believe it or not, it's still possible the word "fun" can be the primary reason to own a console and not how many triangles it can draw on a screen in one second as super duper hooper scooper resolution.  For me, fun is all that matters in an affordable, no DLC bullshit system.  It's not my only console and it won't be my last console and I'll probably get the Xbox Series X soon too.  But everything I see here shows me they can craft their own lane, their on a mission and I'm taggin' along for the Ferrari ride.

Out!

Are you calling anyone that disagrees with Amico a hater ? I did my best to provide both likes and dislikes. And are you mocking people that do have mental health issues? Or did I read that wrong. I am a little slow.

Hey why are you not asking Tommy about the Amico only being a streaming system?  I mean you sure have alot to say on YouTube. Going as far as saying that because David Perry is involved and did start the whole streaming industry with gaikai. Now your on YouTube attacking people that the Amico is nothing more than a streaming box. Care to explain what facts you have?

He could also ask "hey Tommy, I suspect all your employees, including J Allard, are volunteers... Why? Because I was a volunteer on Video Games Live, and that raised my suspicions. If I was a volunteer, it means Video Games Live didn't have any employees and everyone was a volunteer too. I always thought I had a Sherlock Holmes in me, you know?".

But I'm not sure if he will.

Tommy, do you remember Lincoln Logs?  What about a game on Amico where you build stuff using Lincoln Logs?  Wouldn't that be interesting?  It could be an edutainment game.  As a kid I had Lincoln Logs, they were fun to play with.

I went to high school with the kid who was the box when he was little. His name was Brad. It was funny, we used to joke with him and call him a celebrity. He was a good sport about it.

Tommy,

Any chance of there being a Wipeout style game or something like F-Zero?  It would be interesting to have a racing game with hover crafts.

I second that, every self respecting console needs a good futuristic racer at some point.

Tommy,

What do you think about this idea for an Amico game?

You would play as a paranormal investigator and you go to haunted locations.  Each location is a top down maze and you must reach the exit while being pursued by a ghost/entity.  The ghost/entity will follow you slowly but if it gets you, a life is lost.  After all 5 lives are gone, it's game over.  You can protect yourself though with holding up a cross causing the enemy to be stunned for a few seconds.

Some haunted locations could be: house/mansion, cemetery & church.  Also, in every location the ghost is a different color and has a different appearance.  The cemetery location would have the Grim Reaper as an example.

Glad you like the idea.  Yeah, it doesn't have to be scary at all.  The ghost/entity could be made to look cute.  Don't want to scare the young ones away, lol.

There was a game on Colecovision called Sir Lancelot.  For Amico, there should be a game called Sir Thomas.  Starring Tommy as the main character.  Lol.  It would have the same gameplay but with improved graphics and controls.

Aug 4th, does Tommy announce that the ...

1. Amico will launch on 10-10-20 as planned.

2. Amico will launch Q4 2020.

3. Amico will launch Q1 2021.

4. Amico FE will launch 10-10-20, retail and VIP later.

5. Amico FE and VIP's launch 10-10-20, retail later.

6. None of the above.

At minimum, I'm hoping for 4. My gut feel is he will not use

the special event announcement to also announce that they

are going to completely miss the 10-10-20 date.

Getting some units out early is another way to create a Q4

buzz without spending any marketing dollars. In addition,

it gets the word out before the PS or Xbox hit the shelves.

Hoping for the best but complete support for any decision

they make.

I agree, I think the Limited release of FE and VIP in FALL 2020 editions is perfect, you get the system into the hands of the fans, make them happy and they start to generate a buzz for the system and launch it in the spring when they have enough units to fully stock retail.and it doesn't have to be a full launch for the pre-orders, just get out the systems with their 6 pack in games and have another 8 to 12 in the store to buy and work out any kinks in the store and then they can release the rest of the initial batch of games when the system has its retail launch and hopefuly by then there will be even more games ready to launch with the system.
