Yep!!  We'll be at retail at Gamestop at launch... which will include our physical media.

Awesome. How about used media? Will users be able to sell them to gamestop or are they locked to individual account?

This past weekend, I introduce my son to Biplanes, Battle Tanks, and Armor Battle on my ps2 with Intellivision Lives.

I let him a good 5 minutes to understand the control of the plane before I begin to play againts him.

He's 9 years old, and it was not easy for him to understand "stall" and that he need to take some speed to control the plane !
But I was not hard on him, and a lots of times I make my plane stall and crashed. Also crashing in the tower while I was trying to hit him. ( Could be cool for Amico when you hit the tower a couple of times to see it  crumble ! :) )

He was laughing out loud, even when his plane lost control ! It was a lot of fun.

After that, we tried Battle Tanks. It was easier for him. First we played without the bouncing ball (realism).

After that, with bouncing balls it was really fast for the two of us to die !

Finally, Battle Armor, one of the original game to hit stores at launch ! 200 different maps ! Our expectations were high !

It was a little pointless to have 2 Tanks each at the same time on the map, and there was much less place to avoid the shots.

For several reasons, we preferred Battle Tanks.

We played almost one hour ( 3 games ) and my son really appreciated it. I am happy to have a 9 years old boy that want to play games that was made 40 years ago !

Next step he will make is top 10 from the last gameplay trailer ! :)

We can't wait to play Amico's games !

Pretty positive Tommy has said that you can detach the game from your console's account and then resell your physical media (game included).

The store would have to check that the digital license is in the physical game..

I think Intellivision should have registered the internet page ______________

for presenting the games. But now its registered to Amico haters and that is awful.

I don`t think its easy to get the adress of the page now.... But lots of gamers can find it when they search for the Amico Games over the next years.

Thats what they wanted I think. This can already be buisness damaging and goes a step too far or?

I don`t know why a some people are so negative and what they get out of it...

^ I removed the URL from the previous post.  They're not getting much attention outside of their little circle, but let's not give them any more.

I've been playing classic intellivision with my 6 and 9 year olds quite a bit lately as well. Also some NES games.  It is a great bonding time. They enjoy the old games just as much as the newer fancier games - in some instances even more due to the simplicity. They are both quite excited for the Amico.

10-Nitro Derby

9- Evel Knievel

8- Shark Shark!

7- Major League Baseball

6- Moon Patrol

5- Snafoo

4- Cloudy Mountain

3- Astrosmash

2- Skiing

1- Night Stalker

So that was my personal list. 4 days later, here is the list from my son after he played Biplanes and Battle Tanks this Weekend.

He really like them all ! His excitement is at 9 out of 10 for the 10th game, and 10 out of 10 for the first one, so it's very tight ! (Skiing, Pong and Breakout was almost there too !)

 10- Moon Patrol

9- Corn Hole (He never played the Wii, but I explained to him how it will work with the controller.)

  8- Astrosmash

  7- Night Stalker

  6- Snafoo

  5- Nitro Derby
  4- Battle Tanks

3- Biplanes  ( He asked me again to play with him today ! )

  2- Evel Knievel

1- Major League Baseball   (My son is playing basebal since he is 4, and want to be a baseball player ! He is also watching highlights that I show him from the 2020 championship series.) 😀

Next time, I will try to have another completly different point of view with my girlfriend, a non-gamer ! 😬  lol

Been buried in some "real life" for awhile... Has anyone here been able to download the Breakout demo? I got three emails, but all of them give me a weird AWS error when I try to follow the download link.

Hi Tommy! I'm a big fan of your work, especially the Amico! I heard about the system from a friend of mine named Lukas. I believe he did a interview with you on his YouTube channel. Anyways, he recommended that I make a video on the Amico to help it gain exposure. So I came here, to ask you if you would be interested in making a brief appearance in my video on the Amico's hardward design, as well as what we know about the console so far. I look forward to hearing back from you!

Sincerely, Magma

🙂

The download worked fine for me though I have only played once due to back issues

You'll get a system warning, but it's just an alert from Windows that it doesn't recognize the sender/originator of the file. But if you click "allow" or "more information" you should see options to bypass it. Some have reported that their antivirus doesn't like it or will delete or uninstall it, but you should be able to disable the antivirus prior to extracting & running, or whitelisting the program in the antivirus.

Are you Mac or UNIX? It is only for Windows. Could also be your browser. Try a different browser.

Lol yeah... Chromium Edge on Windows. God forbid somebody use the built-in browser. ;) I haven't taken time to put a different browser on the system yet.

I've had issues downloading with either Edge or Explorer, although that was about a year ago. Haven't use them since except for apps defaulting to it. Almost exclusively Chrome these days.

Brave and IE don't work -- all the same error.
