Dragonfire was in the october 2018 press release, uglyclone missed it somehow.

I sure did! Thanks for getting that one pointed out. 👍

Which brings me to another question... The rights  to Imagic games should also include Atari 2600 exclusive games like Trick Shot, Quick Step & Shooting Gallery as well. Can we see a possible Amico future for them?

I'd be very interested in a remake of Moonsweeper and Cosmic Ark myself!

Microsurgeon, Ice Trek, Demon Attack & Safecracker for sure!  2 of them are already in production (and 1 we showed at E3 last year).

Nailed 3 out of 4 of my favorite games! The Amico retro library is growing better every day. :D

What's your 4th?

OH CRAP!!!  I totally forgot about Beauty & the Beast!  Add that one to the list!!

Dracula, Dragonfire and Cosmic Ark are all on my short list as well.  Atlantis is too Missile Command like (and not as well known) so that one will take a back seat for awhile.

4th is Demon Attack, I like it but isn't my favorite.

I like Beauty & the Beast but I prefer Tropical Touble (I prefer side scrolling to climbing, Mario forgive me! :D)

Your short list (expecially Dracula) is interesting too... I can't wait to play the reimagined version of all the games you mentioned till now.

Hi Tommy, please take note for next year ! :)

Here is a brief extract from an article published last year from where I live. (Province of Quebec)

In Quebec, the Super Bowl represents 15.7% of the market share, while the broadcast of Bye Bye monopolizes 90.1%
(audience combined with the original broadcast of the show on December 31, 2017 and its replay on the 1st January 2018) *.
So 4,858,000 Quebec viewers gather for this television event, the largest here.

For now I did not found the cost, but trust me, it should not be expensive and you will reach all categories of people. :) (Only constraint, must be in French !)

That's a tv show very unique here, and a tradition for over 50 years. This year it will be called "Bye Bye 2019".

(Here is a description I found in english, but google translate don't like it, so I hope the sentence makes sense ! :) )

Bye Bye is a New Year's Eve sketch comedy special broadcast by Radio-Canada. The yearly program features sketches satirizing the past year's events, followed by a countdown to the next year itself.

Here are the ratings since 1996.

The only reason no one knows about Atlantis, is because no one survived.....

I had this for both the Intellvision and 2600.  Not one of my favorites.

I made it for the TI99 but I still didn't like it!

Wait then how do we know to talk about it?

I like Atlantis, not in my top favs or anything but it was okay.

After seeing that Atlantis commercial: There's something romantic and mysterious about the times where video game commercials, covers and manuals were actually more spectacular than the game itself.

In Spain, we had some great comic book artists doing video game covers during the 80s. The text adventure Megacorp (which by the way I recommend you play, could be a great way to learn some Spanish, it's one of those rare cases of text adventures that you can actually finish without going/being crazy) is an example:

Not that the graphics are wrong or anything, they are actually pretty good considering they use the 4 color mode with "high" resolution of the Amstrad CPC. However, you only use your regular gun once during the game and not against "enemies", and the woman on the cover doesn't even exist. 🤨

By the way, I love the Intellivision graphics and sound, they remind me to the 16 color, low res mode of the Amstrad CPC. Today I discovered the new game Get Papi, soon to be released, and wow... it's amazing what you can do with colors, imagination, coding skills and some huge pixels... and it's awesome that one person can do all the work.

Where/when were Dragonfire, Safecracker & Wing War announced?  I've always thought of Dragonfire as a staple Imagic title but didn't see it in the initial trailer (Intellivision Amico - Reveal Trailer 2018 @ 2:31)

Interested in Wing War for sure as it was unreleased for the Intellivision back in the day.  What about White Water! and Nova Blast?

I don’t think the game has officially been announced but Tommy did say they got the rights to the entire Imagic library

There is a difference between the two.  I think the Intellivision takes the game to the next level...

That is one exception for me. I prefer the one on the Atari 2600.

I prefer with the tower shooting in the center, and not the intellivision missile command style ! :( Sorry for this one gang ! ;)

Also I have to admit for this particular game that I played a lot more with the Atari. :)

We have anything we want... so nothing is off the table.

Like Imagine... as in Imagine Magic.

Microsurgeon is a cool game, if not a little freaky to a little kid back in the day, haha.  We had this on the 994A- I spent a lot of time blowing up tumors :)

If you are looking for a simple play mechanic which adds to 2600-type Atlantis without the new game play elements in the Intellivision version, you might want to consider smart bombs, as used in the excellent Odyssey 2 version. And of course, firing should be 1 switch by just pushing left or right (or up for center), as in the 2600 hacks.... Having to use the joystick to choose a cannon and then press fire separately never made any sense....

Weather you like/play the 2600 version or the Intellivision version....

To me, this game cannot be saved.  The Amico 2.0 or the PS99 cannot save this game as far as I am concerned.  LOL

I was simply replying to it not being well known.  I think it may be the best known game from Imagic?

The only game I actually wanted for the 2600 was trick shot, and that was for the poster!

The TI version of Microsurgeon was better than the Intellivision version.  Plus it used Speech.  The Intellivision could have too...  ROM=$ :(

Could be a nice hack to add it in.

Of course, games come in many shapes and sizes for a reason.  Player preference!

For Demon Attack, I'd suggest a mechanic where you press fire (or whatever) once to turn autofire off, since it's useful most of the time but isn't good when you are aiming for just one or two demons left on the screen. Then you can hold fire (or whatever) for a few seconds to turn it back on.

Also, consider adding to the two types of Demon shots (bullets and lasers). I don't mean complicated power ups and weapons, but maybe simply adding faster dropping shots, or tracker shots, or weapons that land on the surface which you have to avoid before they disappear, as in another great 2nd generation shooter, Odyssey 2 Attack of the Timelord...
