That black one and the wood grain look pretty cool. Hopefully you can change color of the lighting.

The lighting is completely interactive with the gameplay and can be dimmed or turned off very easily... although once you see how it works within the games... you won't want to. :)

Just a brief playtesting story for Tommy.

My son is 9 yo, and his two best friends (twins) are the same age. His friends play Fortnite almost exclusively on their Xbox One. When they come over to play, they ask if I have a baseball game for my PS4. I don't like sports games and didn't have any, so the twins end up playing Fortnite.

Then I remembered that I had Little League World Series 2009 for the Wii. They hadn't really ever played the Wii--it was too old to even be on their radar. We had a blast playing four player, each kid (and me) controlling different parts of the team. Super easy to pick up and play. Not intimidating like modern sports games for Xbox One or PS4. They went home asking their dad for a Wii.

Amico can have that market that the big three seem to have abandoned.

Absolutely! That is our focus and major goal. We are picking up where the Wii left off 13 years ago... but with a LOT more ideas, technology and focus on everyone as opposed to just hardcore gamers. Bringing family and friends of all skill levels back together in the living room to play video games. :)

New logo feels a little too Fisher-Price "Baby's First Computer" Toy to me to be honest. Really not a fan at all. I think the launch logo was much nicer, sleeker, and appealing to Adults as well as Children. This logo sort of only skews in the direction of a very young child's toy.

Parents and kids love it. So we hit our goal. :)

New logo from: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amico/comments/c007nz/amicos_new_logo/

These were my comments on seeing it:

Of course some online hardcore gamers will complain. They don't understand what we're doing or the market we are going after. Everyone said the same about the Nintendo Wii. :)

For me the logo is cool ! What I care most is games and Gameplay ! :)

I have a challenge for those who don't really like the logo ...

Make one and show it to us ! ;)

Tommy... can you disclose what was the 22 games at E3 ? :)

We can't disclose the 22 games just yet but we are making another trailer coming out in July which will show gameplay! Stay Tuned!!

They are clearly going for family friendly, so the logo fits I guess. I know a lot of people here are excited by it, and I wish them the best, but I'm still imagining a Walmart early learning toy mixed with the tech of a Wii.

There are a TON of games that hardcores will love as well. We've focus tested a ton of age groups with almost all of our initial games and they are a huge hit with everyone! Can't wait to share more in the coming months.

I also like it. It's fun.

Definitely what we were going for. Needs to be friendly and fun. Not cold, sci-fi, etc.

I dig it. I don't think is great or anything, but I think its good and will get the job done.

That's all we need from a logo.... as you know... it will be the GAMES that sell the console... not the logo. But the logo does need to be inviting to parents.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Amico logo stretches and squashes and "dances" in place when shown in commericals and while the console itself starts up.

Now yer talking! :)

I like the look of the consoles...not particularly liking the logo but might fit the "all ages" image the Amico is trying for. Still need more information before I decide for myself whether the Amico will be a good console or not, but the vision articulated so far sound interesting enough that it could surprise people in the next generation if it's executed well. But at least it will be better than the Ataribox.

You have my word! :)

From Andre' LaMothe's latest update on his electronic course (it's good BTW!)
Additionally, I have been hammered working on the new
Intellivision Amico
Controllers for the past months and had to get a prototype ready for E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo) 16 months ahead of schedule, just a bit of stress
:)
I did it though -- delivered working hardware, wrote demos, firmware, a training guide and videos, for the programmers, so E3 went as planned. Alas, I can get back into neutral and try "sleeping" again
:)

Andre is a god! And only one of the incredible hardware engineers we have working on the project. Others come from the military, NASA (Mars Rover project!), successful inventors, game industry veterans, etc.! Unlike "other" crowdfunding projects... we have a TEAM of full time benefits receiving in-house engineers... not just 1 contracted person. :)

That is the plan and goal!

We recently opened a European office with a super HUGE industry veteran as the head of it! He was the CEO of Computec Media for 12 years! Left the company after 30 years to join us. Hans Ippisch. We are getting the BEST of the BEST in the industry to join us!
