Yeah, I am just getting what's basically green static (title screen) with this thing, which is the one I bought.

It looks like it's actually a Hyperkin product, sadly, so it's probably basically trash and if I had known, I wouldn't have bought it. They have another type, though, so I might see about returning it later today since Akiba is only like 17 minutes away by train or something.

You generally can't use automatic switching RF switches with anything pre NES/SMS. These switches rely on seeing a small voltage signal on the RF line from the console to trigger the switch. Older consoles like Intv, Coleco, 2600, etc. don't output that voltage on the RF line. So the switch doesn't operate correctly.

With the older systems you are better off picking up the appropriate adapter to connect the RF cable from the console directly to the the antenna connector on the TV.

Is something like this available in your area?

Unfortunately, the RF switch with my INTV is not the type that connects to my TV. I have this one

and here is the RF switch from my INTV. Pretty sure it's not supposed to look like this.

Probably, but I can get it shipped from Amazon USA to my shipping company that ships to Japan if not. Thanks.

Hard to tell for sure from that pic, but that looks like a standard coax connection on the TV.  If so, then a simple non-switching RF cable with RF/coax adapter for the TV end should work.  Don't need to order that specific one from US Amazon, just check to see if you can find that sort of thing locally.

Yeah, it's a normal coax for VHF/UHF and a second one for BS. Still, it's a Japanese TV (Sony KV-29DR1) with a US INTV, so I'm still not entirely sure about the frequencies. I am guessing it should work on channel 2 since I got green static there through the RF switch instead of black and white static.

You can start a separate thread to troubleshoot this.

Yes, let's stop talking about this. I won't make a new thread about it unless I still can't figure it out by the end of next month, though. I should have enough information to solve it anyway.

Now that I've derailed the thread far too much, I'll put it back on track.

Tommy, how is ToeJam and Earl coming along? I think I read that the goal was to have this as a launch title or close to launch. Is that still happening?

Also curious about your thoughts on R-Type Final 2 for Amico if you get a chance to take a look. I know they are targeting really nice polygon graphics for this game, though, and the very early PS4 demo I played last summer looked very nice. Not sure exactly how well the Amico's specs compare to what Granzella is pushing for, though.

Tommy,

From looking at the printable website on what could be made for Amico products, what about smartphone cases?  Or maybe a fanny pack?  Lol.

Flip Flops

Back Packs

Fanny Packs

Edit : With Amico Logo

Maybe they got it confused with the Founders Edition?  Or one of the Limited Editions?

Probably. Just didn't like how they phrased it like "you know what I heard?", rather than taking five minutes to fact-check.

Fact checking doesn't let you fear-monger as efficiently.  Really gets in the way.

Yeah!  That would be super cool!  I can think of a number of different shapes to do (Running Man, original controller, new controller, old machine, new machine, logo, etc.).

We currently use Printful for our merchandise (because it's super easy and we don't need to deal with the logistics).  Here are a list of ALL the available things we could make.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what we should add to our current store... please let me know!!

How about some funky Intellivision socks?

Printful has these, which unfortunately cannot cover the entire sock with a design:

Tommy,

This is probably too soon but do you know if the Amico has the option to format an SD card as internal storage?  Since the Amico only has 16GB of flash memory, it would be nice if we could expand the flash memory instead of using the SD card as separate storage.

Tommy, I just got my BEE SEVENTEEN BAWLMER in the mail and now I'm excited to see what the remake looks like! Are you going to show it at E3? Actually, is it safe to say how many new games you are planning on showing there? Not names, since you have to save surprises, just a number. Of course, everything is subject to change and stuff since E3 is not for another few months and you obviously want stuff to be as close to release quality as possible before showing it and especially letting people play it.

Happy Birthday to you Tommy !

Question about E3.

Will your conference be live on the Internet ?

Thank you.

1.  I'm hoping so.  Not confirmed yet.

Please do everything you can so that we can watch it live. It will be our greatest moment (not counting the launch of the console).

If it is not live, I hope it will still be filmed so that we can watch it a few hours later ? Maybe Victor and Electric Playground could take care of the broadcast !? 😃

Recording and posting it on Youtube is good, especially because time zones exist. I think E3 happens usually around 0300~0600 for me. It is kind of nice to wake up in the morning and selectively read the news that I am interested in and disregard the rest, though.

From what I've gathered, you'll be able to store like 25 large games or 40 smaller games on the 16 gigabyte hard drive. I can't foresee you needing to store more than that many at once without having time to delete some.

But I do see why options are nice, though.

I would think you could load games from the SD card, just like you could the Wii or the PS2 memory cards. It would seem odd if you couldn’t. Are you referring to something else?

It sounds like he wants to replace the stock/internal 16gb with something much larger.

I think what he wants is to do something like the Switch, which has its own onboard memory but also accepts microSD and you can choose which one you want to store your data on.
