Yes.  We are in the completion phase now.  Just waiting on multiple parts from China that are backed up because of Coronavirus so we can start heaving testing.  Will be at least 2 months of testing.  We can make modifications up until final tooling and manufacturing (depending on the change)... if it's nothing major it doesn't screw up production.  Very important time for us over the next 2 months.  Lots of work going on around the clock.  Firmware is always being added, fixed, changed as well.  We probably have at least 20 different firmware engineers working on the system right now!

Hope you guys got a coffee shop nearby!

Damn, now I'm all excited and crap and can't sleep even though it's 0208 and I have work at 1200.

Hopefully Worms works out to be excellent. Same with Sonic, B-17 Bomber, and everything else that you may or may not have just announced/confirmed to exist/confirmed to be in development.

20 firmware engineers? Good, sounds like nobody is killing themselves just to get this out the door. It's always nice to have help!

The family orientation of the Amico is starting to become public. Check this out:

It will be very interesting to follow up on this. Really curious about those marketing campaigns about to start!

I hope they also stress that as a parent its MUCH nicer to look into your family room and actually see who your kids are playing with. In this case usually kids and neighbors you know and are likely the same age range.  When your kid goes to his room to play in the dark with his earphones etc, you have NO idea who the hell he is playing and talking with.  It always cracks me up that parents these days rush around to drive kids to and from school for fear of some imaginary predators, but when they get the kid home, they allow them to go off and play where actual predators can and do exist.  SMH

B-17 will be more cartoon than realistic.  You won't be seeing flags or countries either.

This is the one game I keep thinking about when I take into account that every player will have a screen on the controller.  B-17 was probably the game I played most on my original Intellivision (and my only Intellivoice game). I really liked how I could play it for a long period of time. I just hope the new version doesn't take away the original feel of the game.  It was a bit more realistic and complicated, but it was also a bit cartoony.  I can't wait to take on some more bandits at 3 o'clock and to always watch out for flak.

Hi all.  I've been lurking here for a while and finally decided to contribute...
The more I find out about this system the more excited I get.  I feel like this system is marking every checkbox on what I want:
x Games that are easy to learn but fun to play

x Simple to use controllers

x Couch co-op

x Allowing beginners to compete with advanced players

x All content is appropriate for children (I have an 8yo and a 6yo)

x Game prices less than $10

I grew up with the original Intellivision and it has the same special meaning as I hear Tommy describe.  To this day at family gatherings we will fire up my parents' old Intellivision and all the grandkids will play Bump-n-Jump, Snafu, Thunder Castle, BurgerTime, etc.  Next family gathering I'll have to get a video of them all screaming at the top of their lungs for Horse Racing (Come on Blue!).  I'm glad they are making some of those same communal gaming memories.  Truly proves that fun games matter way more than graphics.

It would be awesome to boot up the Amico and hear "Hello Commander.  Computer reporting."  (I spent hours playing Space Spartans - love that game).  Speaking of, has there been any word on a Space Spartans reimagining?

I haven't heard anything regarding Space Spartans but it's possible that it could end up on the Amico.  I'm hoping it does.

This could almost be on the back of the Amico box. Haha. This is exactly why I like the system (minus the having children part 🧐)

I saw it posted on the Intellivision Facebook page (with short video clip).  It looks to be from GirlGamerFest.

I would love to see a Jelle's marble game but I'm not sure what you would do in it. I don't know if the Amico with their family focus would want a game about gambling on marble racing.

The potential is there to keep the gambling completely out of it.  I'm thinking it could just be a racing game with obstacles and could include powerups or item collection for points etc.

Marble Madness or Super Monkey Ball might be good references for controls.

I might be too hopped up on Mountain Dew at the moment but I'm stuck on the idea of the Intellivision Running Man piloting a marble. 😄

TOAPLAN license holders seem to be opening their doors. They are releasing ports to the switch. Would be great to see any of these.

I actually see this game in town from time to time and I never buy it for the simple reason that I want to import the EU version just for this. Not sure what the EU cart would do on a Japanese Mega Drive or US Genesis; it may be region locked, but I am not sure.

Tommy,

I know you mentioned that the Amico is getting some Imagic games.  Will Solar Storm be one of them?

I would guess not since that one was only made for Atari.

Tommy mentioned on page 200-something that IE has the rights to the entire Imagic library, and said that at least some of their old 2600 games would see a reimagining. So you never know.

Is there like a record somewhere that says something like

Announcement of/confirmation of (thing) on page (page #) in the QA thread

anywhere?
