Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Recommended Posts

I hope Tommy shows us some concept art or something ! Or the patent number !

😎

Still such a cool idea. You can turn a touch screen into anything with this idea.

you could do some patent searches, but only on full patents. Patent pending are place holders, your patent could still get rejected if its pending

Oh yeah?

Can it make a hat, or a brooch? Or a pterodactyl?

I really shouldn't say this, but ...

... with his straitjacket-like long sleeves and the completely featureless walls and high ceiling behind him, this video (judging only from the thumbnail, since I'm not watching it) looks as if it was shot in a holding cell deep in the bowels of a correctional institution. No need for it.

I think it's great that he never need to try it. 😌

He can have other ways to celebrate ! 😃

Let's get Tommy high and take the Ferrari to a White Castle. Blarneo can sit in the back with Neil. 🤣

I don't know if anyone noticed, but that shitty channel that attracted all the haters like Convoy, etc... "Cohesive Friendship Unit" was in the Rich stream begging for an interview a few times before they got tired of it.

They probably had a few bathroom accidents watching Rich get over 1,000 viewers and watching all the chatters go from negative to positive listening to Tommy and seeing how genuine he is.

All these haters and Pat and Ian creating this controversy and the feud with Reviewtech is going to end up selling more consoles.

Tommy does interviews with anyone.  He did an interview with me and I didnt have any followers yet 🤣😂

I don't know Tommy, but from what I have seen of him on interviews, he seems like a guy to go have a beer with. He acts very professional. These trolls that talk shit and try to create problems are afraid to have an interview with him because they are cowards and probably not that intelligent.

We haven't released the names of all our retail partners just yet, but it is all the biggest and best ones.

Within a few weeks some of those retail partners will be taking pre-orders for special editions as well.

So then will I still have a chance to get the wood grain version from a local retailer like gamestop or best buy?

I had to pass on the pre-orders from the Intellivision website because with the loss of orders at my work from the shutdown I wasn't sure if I'd still have a job when the ship date arrived. Only to have our supervisor tell us that things are looking better than originally predicted and they might actually have to call back some of the people who took the voluntary layoffs - at which point the pre-orders had been closed.

Yeh, I don't think there are any.  It is a rehash of the same stuff.. People that don't want to understand "yes we know the Amico is not for everyone, but there are some key areas this new console will do very well in, and no you can't do the same exact thing with mobile games as of now.  Amico will bring something new to the table in how these games are played and we have a market, a HUGE market, that will welcome this new gaming console!"

These people think they can find a hole in this but they just can't!

That is my quote by the way as I am quoting myself.  No idea if that is proper english or not.  hahaha

TJ

The wacky "journalist" kept on a couple times about what "normal" people think because he's spoke with "normal" people about a couple stupid ad hominem attacks like using cell phone footage for a game and vloggers wearing intellivision cloths. That's what you get a lot are people refusing to let go of things using their brothers kids or what they think how someone would react. To put it forth as a concern is one thing, but their obsessive chasing of dragons with butterfly nets is all speculations, half-truths, anecdotes and personal opinions like thinking kids are going to be disappointed by the Amico. A lot of what they have are questions Tommy can't answer yet and they won't let go of that either. That he's hiding things. Hahaha. Never mind that these guys are all amateurs butthurt because most people don't agree with them while Tommy has tons of research. It's a kind of religious zealotry which is really bizzare.

So  @Tommy Tallarico. I have a question about the stick.on buttons.   Nintendo did something like this for the original ds for an analog stick.  I was wondering if  this will be a major improveimpr.ober that

.im.unsure if any others have done anything like that  outside of soecial case attachments for phones.

i wasn't able to watch the interview and rich seemed to only upload the last two hours so i didn't hear the full disclosure on the controllers. But... i take it you're going to be able to add your own auxiliary buttons upon the screen? and if that's the case, is intellivision going to release some sort of official, specifically designed set of extra buttons that you'll have to purchase as an addendum to the controllers? how will that work?

You didn't ask about Europe but Intellivision did just announce two major retailers in Europe - MediaMarkt & Saturn. They are basically the Best Buy(s) of Europe.

So in Italy Mediaworld will be distributing Amico. Italian Intv fans, get ready!

The Woodgrain version is the special edition that will only be sold by Intellivision.  We don’t know all the special editions yet just GTO Red and Galaxy Purple so far as retail exclusives

Hey there! Just wanted to bring up one thing. (It might have been mentioned already since your video, but just in case.)  The 35,000 units per month is on a single line. Our manufacturing partner has 10 lines they can dedicate to the Amico!

Hey @RxScram, I live in Spain. As of today, what are the release dates and number of units for this country?

Hey IntelliMission,

Unfortunately I don't know! I do know that we're working with some of the biggest and best distributors in Europe, but as far as actual numbers dedicated to each country that's being handled by Hans in our Nuremberg, Germany office.

If I heard it right He said the addon buttons will come with the console.

I figured the retrogamers would come out with a tactile button attachment for the screen, but looks like IE is out ahead of it.
