Yeah... we've talked about it internally... but not sure giving them all the credence, attention or legitimacy would be the best way to go.  But we do think it might be really fun to do another more general "Mean Message Boards" type of video.  Call it "Mean YouTubers" and take a variety of the "best" (i.e. WORST) clips from a bunch of different YouTubers and have a little fun (while dropping "facts" in the process).  Keep it light hearted and funny and sometimes self-deprecating.

:)

Thoughts?

For those not knowing what I'm referring to... it's this:

Loved the first one. Might be good way to knock down some of the stupid.

I’d say go for it; but in full disclosure, I’m always on the look out for your next “release”, and if this adds one to the count...

I was thinking, if Patty and [Pe]Ian are the source of all the crapping on Amico, wouldn't that make them the ass of the internet?

I think Intellivision should hold auditions to choose who gets 1.

Submit a video of yourself playing video games to them and they select who they feel can put the machine through the best testing.

Those videos could be fun to watch.

I think a video maker shouldn't force others to compete in his lane. 😡

why, we are all newbs or amateurs.  It would be fun to see the antics of how people play video games.  ;-)

No Pros allowed in this one.  haha

*like America's Funniest Videos... the bloopers would be awesome!

Alright.

I think it would be fun to see how other AAers are able to handle the TIRKS software and design a telecom circuit using HDSLs and a Sonet complex. What a gas!

Correct.  35K per month... so, by the end of the year there would be approximately 100K in the market (which is why you'll notice in my latest interviews that I said we had to cut off purchase orders to around 100K.

But that 35K in October would be worldwide... Founders 1st, VIP 2nd, retail pre-orders 3rd (which include US, Canada, Germany & UK).

But the other thing to consider is if pricing gets too crazy (because of scarcity) we may hold mass production because UNLIKE Sony, Microsoft, etc. we can't lose money on the hardware and I refuse to put out the base unit over $249, etc.  So many important things still up in the air at this point... but we will know within the next 6 - 8 weeks what it happening for sure.

So I've been wanting to ask about Fig not because of the hate squad but just to get a better grip on what is going on.

So if we put aside the part about preorders and just take the investment portion can you explain how this will effect your production? If the target is or isnt met what does that do for you guys?

In the Intellivision game Utopia, you could purchase 'rebels'.  Instead of improving your island, they landed on your competitor's island and could potentially mess things up.  I always saw it as a person holding a gun, or bow and arrow, and causing unrest.

Another great episode Pete, but if you keep at this pace you’re going to have to update you channel name to “No Stone Left Un-turned”.

Speaking of drop testing, here is a vid of the ultimate drop test.

I supported the F/A-18 Program for over 20 years (in many different capacities) and was lucky to be apart of some really, really cool things, but wishing this was one of them.

Think it should be split into demographics. I’ll cover the crap for eyesight and slow reflex market 😂

Well unless you mean people with bad eyesight and try to plug the Amico into the 220 Dryer outlet in the garage... then yeh totally makes sense! 😋

Well this is all a matter of conjecture. Tommy probably has his testers already lined up (and mostly in SoCal), so until he says he'll lottery testing duties off to this little family of misfits, I guess I can just wait.

oh but we can dream about it!

@OEB_Pete gets one and has his video game playing wife and 2 kids banging on the Amico... accidentally spilling poutine all over the controllers and Amico, the accidentally baking it in a nice pie that Pete decided to bake for Sunday supper!

@GrumpyOl'Guy can yell at the Amico until it gets off his lawn... that should scare the Amico shitless.

@Starpaddler can run over it with his car as he forgot to move it out of the way before parking his car in the garage.

@GrudgeQ can do the same as @Starpaddler as his reflex was too slow to stop from starting parking the car 15 minutes earlier.

It can all work great!

It's a year an a half since this was announced. Is there a real product? Do we need offices worldwide like in Dubai to have high-paid people whose sole purpose is to "introduce" people to gaming on Amico?

I mean like in the simple (and fun days) we watched TV. And a month later the games showed up in the store. Simple. And we learned how to play them. We bought what we liked, and ignored the crap. And the best consoles were profitable and just worked.

Here’s one for you Tommy, being a car guy.

Heard this from the owner of an small aerospace company where my Grandfather used to work.  He knew the owner well and years after my Grandfather retired, he set up a small tour for us.  The business had pivoted and was now fabricating parts for Formula1 cars. The space was cleaner than a hospital and I never before thought that I could be okay with eating something directly off the floor.  Anyway, the owner told me that Military typically carries something around a 50% margin of safety for parts, meaning if a part was designed to carry 100 lbs, they would test it and either add or remove material until it breaks at 150 lbs., then he went on to tell me that for F1, they use a 2% margin, meaning the same part is iterated until it breaks at 102 lbs.  Heard this ~30 years ago and it has stuck with me ever since.

Alright. I can buy that. So I should just Pottery Barn the thing and knock it over on the floor because I never pay attention to where I'm going? Or squirt it with the hose when I'm watering my garden... because I ALWAYS take my (only 4 million left still working) Dreamcast outside to garden?

Perfect... you get it!

;-)

For me I will do the "wake up at 3AM as my old bladder can't hold it all night and I hazily walk to the bathroom with my eyes closed as I have the walk down pat but oops... I made a mistake and went left where I should have went right and, well you know the rest!" haha

I blame the cat as I stepped on him as I walked to the bathroom with my eyes closed and was all mixed up.
