Hey, When Pete hits 1,000 subs, we should each send him one box.  It would make him as happy as a pig in shi..pping boxes.

Why send him one box, when he can race to win A MILLION BOX?

-sorry. The full cartoon is on some site that has too much ads & doesn't embed. So here's a YouTube butcher job.

Alright Back on the Satan page, some peeps embedded devil music, which prompted me to google "That choir yelling another language"... or O Fortuna, and I came across a live performance of The Fifth Element aria... which we talked about in the not satanic page.... so there!

I was contracted by DTS to do a ton of sound work... including their logo!  They even gave me stock in the company!  Great friends with their CEO.

Seven Bridges Road in 5.1 is absolutely EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would always play The Eagles 7 bridges road for my friends back in early 2000’s when I got a decent home theater that had DTS...that song in DTS blew them away!

Yay, an email from Intellivision announcing that J Allard has joined. Good! As I've said before, I'm not an Xbox guy, but since the internet is readily available, it's easy to do research. Looking at the stuff he's done, I think he is definitely the type of guy that would be highly beneficial to Intellivision. Or any tech/video game company, for that matter.

How is it looking for 10/10/2020? I know I ask about it a lot, but a combination of impatience (less than 5 months left until I get it in the mail!) and my own interest in learning as much as I can about the whole process of launching a video game console compels me to ask. Apparently Sony is still launching this year (or something. Don't really care about PS5, so I didn't bother to read the article I saw the other day, just the headline) and the TurboGrafx-16 mini is launching next week in the USA, so I am guessing that manufacturing might be getting back on track, although they probably still have a lot of stuff to catch up with.

Kind of related and forgive me if this has been asked and answered before, but is there a target ship date for FE? I know it's officially "before everyone else gets theirs", but I'm wondering if there's a target date.

Random question, but I played Road Rash for the first time the other day and it's pretty awesome... well, the gameplay is, anyway. The music isn't so great, but that's okay because the game itself is so fun that it makes up for it. Any chance of seeing something like Road Rash on Amico? I know EA isn't onboard yet, but it would be interesting to either bring Road Rash back from the dead or make something like it. Road Rash 3 apparently got a KA rating (which is now E) and I'm pretty sure the ESRB is much more relaxed now than they were then, so I think there is no reason that we couldn't see Road Rash or something similar on Amico.

Meanwhile, at Resetera...

- The moderator says "oh no Allard, what are you doing?"

- The moderator calls the Amico "Tommy Tallarico's delusional vanity project"

- Another user congratulates the moderator and compares him with @jaybird3rd, who is supposedly "banning everyone who doesn't like the console"

- Another user says "family market? Minecraft already exists"

- Several users really upset because of the "cheap looking" location Tommy used for the Sidesweepers video and his "the girl is beating you" comment

Gotta love how some of them are closely watching this project clearly wishing for it to fail. It looks like excuses to hate the Amico are becoming harder and harder to find (see the "the girl is beating you" comment, something that EVERYONE has said in this kind of situations and DOESN'T IMPLY THAT THE PERSON SAYING IT THINKS GIRLS ARE INFERIOR because it's just a joke).

It's gotta be a long, hard road for these people.

As someone that would be labelled as a dangerous communist in the USA, I also find difficult to understand that people are using politics to attack the Amico: too politically correct and NWO for some alt right bright minds, too traditional for some future Nobel-winning liberals. The "the girl is winning you" thing is an example of how to focus on stupid fights instead of saving your efforts for actual problems.

This is what happens when they only work retail & have little experience working in an office building. Now, retail is an honorable job, and retail workers put up with MUCH more crap than they deserve to be expected to, but the Hollywood depictions of corporate HQs are the Nakatomi Building or Wayne Enterprises, and I think a few of them take their cues that those pristine, $400k decorated boardrooms in films are what all offices really look like.

Sometimes there's a "catch all" room away from the reception desk, where the phones don't work and computer cables are strewn around with old broken CPUs & chairs that haven't been recycled in 3 years, just like that spare room at your pack rat Dad's house.

Funny how the unshaven misogynists of Gamergate fame, who throw a baby tantrum if big boobs aren't in their game and cartoon characters (I'm talking about you Quartering), are now so chivalrous towards women when it's convenient for them to be.

Are you here to talk about the Amico, or obsess over these guys?

I thought we were moving on?  Wouldn't that be something?

@supahwally, Blarneo and I apologize to do the same you did a couple of weeks ago. We promise it will be the last time.

I think it's interesting to know these people's point of view. I think it's them who are obsessed with Tommy, accusing him of male chauvinism. I think we have the right to defend ourselves, considering they are clearly reading this thread (hi guys!). And I think it's becoming increasingly fun to read their excuses. 🤓

By the way, does anyone here have a Resetera account? I tried to create one some months ago but they won't admit Gmail... They only admit "personal email addresses" from independent email providers, or something like that.

@Blarneo I don't think they are exactly the same Gamergate guys. From what I could read in their (very informative) Coronavirus thread, many Resetera users are liberal. As I said, I think it's more of a case of people from both sides somehow finding political reasons to attack the console.

@Tommy Tallarico I have a couple of questions about the J Allard hiring:

- What do you think about the Zune and Kin products? J Allard was very involved in those and they were considered failures. I know it's kind of a peculiar question just after you just hired him, but perhaps you know some interesting story about those.

- What will exactly be J Allard functions within the team? Will he help with the games? The general vision? a potential future online mode?

But you see, that's the worldview of people who confuse cynicism with realism.  According to them, to be "realistic" or to "speak the truth" is to expect the worst and to approach every endeavor with an attitude of cynical, scornful skepticism, whether it's warranted or not.  If you're willing to step outside of your preconceived notions, and to appreciate the potential of something new and different—while doing your due diligence along the way, of course—you're "unrealistic," or "unsophisticated," or "naïve," or a "pushover," or "blind," or "in denial," or whatever.  I can't imagine going through life with such a sour attitude, and I have a hard time respecting people who do, because those are the people who only know how to attack anything that doesn't fit into their comfortably accepted status quo, when they're not sitting on the sidelines and sulking.  To paraphrase Crawford, the future belongs to the doers, not to the idle talkers.

I agree.  I realize that I didn't exactly help with my previous post, but as I've said before, I would much prefer to remain focused on the positive.  I think it is useful to note their attitude from time to time, if only to contrast their mindset of failure with our successes.  But as you said earlier, these people are "smallminded manchildren" who are beyond being persuaded or reasoned with (Lord knows we've tried!), and we don't need more of their negativity.

@jaybird3rd I agree is not a good idea to have several consecutive pages of that, but at the same time I think it's not a bad idea to try to debate this people in some cases. The Resetera guys seem to live in their own world, so perhaps the correct approach is to politely counter argument them in their own forum. In this case, I think it's worth mentioning for two reasons: 1) The surreal moderator comparison they made and 2) The lack of Amico fans/experts in that forum, which leads to lies being spread without control (with the help of the mod himself).

So yeah, I think it's not worth to spend hours on this or obsessing with it, but it's positive to mention it and possibly try to fight it with information, without getting personal.

So I wonder if anyone here knows how to create an account there or has one, in case someone cares to explain Tommy's plan and research in those hostile zones. I agree 4chan should be ignored, but Resetera has many potential fans and more of a serious reputation.

As funny as this is, with the ridiculous cost of shipping in the states (and I can only presume in the rest of the world), I'd rather we all pooled our money together and purchased a small state or country. You know, like Rhode Island or Belgium. Call it Amicoland or some crap.

Your attention to details on your Imagic mockups is incredible. Anyone notice the Amico mug with the lemon in it?  How about the running man on J Allard’s shirt? Or the 360 address on the house?  I really enjoy these — great work!

Return Of Allard - J Allard - Giant Bomb

and yes we need Minter games on Amico. (Sorry Tommy I sound like a broken record).

No man we buy it, call it The Country/State of Amico, and we can build Tommyland Ranch or whatever with all his video game stuff he's collected throughout the years. Kiddy rides shaped liked Ferraris. You know.

Does this mean that the Amico has DTS and we'll be able to hear multichannel Shark! Shark!?

Hi Tommy.

I have a question about voice on Amico.

I wonder if games will have voice, or it will be only text ?

I know it may sound like a weird question, but take as an example,

for a long time Nintendo made their character speak with incomprehensible language, and we had to read text.

We haven't seen a lot of gameplay for Cloudy Mountain, but for a game like that, I imagine our character
will meet a person on his way before the end of the game. So if they have a discussion among themselves, would it be just text or we will have voices ?

Thank you.
