@Tommy Tallarico much like with star wars and ea.  Any chance you will make an attempt to talk with microsoft about using a rareware property..... battlletoads.  Ms did allow cuphead  on the switch and rare was able to work on some handheld stuff for ds.   With amico  being not a direct competitor  and having someone with conections to xbox now on the team that could be interesting.....

Come on tommy with a   "wouldn't  that be something "

Oh, it would be, but no MS titles have gone on the Switch lately. I have to wonder if they're done "sharing" their games with other console makers.

These questions come up often about game purchases and whether or not you can allow a friend to keep the game or if you can sell the game or with the haters that whine that the Amico is too expensive.  When I hear this I cant stop from laughing.  Heres what games use to cost. And I hope people quit asking these questions about game cost. Because you really don't understand how great you really got it. And personally I feel its disrespectful to what the team at Intellivision is actually offering us. Truly affordable gaming of which we have never seen.

An NES game in 1990 cost, on average, about $50. That's $89 in 2013 money. Your $70 N64 cartridges in 1998 would require the equivalent of $100 today. Heck, the $50 PlayStation 2 game you bought in 2005 is worth $60, the exact price of a typical retail game in 2013

The games are $10 or less folks.

I mean...so are lots of other digital games. Heck, on the other side of the spectrum, itch.io had a very recent sale that offered more than 1,000 PC games. (That's an extreme example, I know.)

I think it makes sense to wonder how game licenses will be handled for a brand-new platform.

The problem I see with having it under the controllers is that you're going to be picking up and putting down the controllers in that spot. There's going to be a lot of rubbing, and there's a really good chance the signature will get scuffed or rubbed off.

I vote to have it on the front.

FRONT 👍

MS is in the process of designing a new Battletoads.

i agree with this While I wouldnt mind the sig in front, I could see some people could have an issue there, under the controllers I think is a good compromise to keep everyone happy

It was mentioned that the controllers would be sold in 2 packs (as well as one at a time I assume) I am wondering if the 2 packs will come with a charging stand ? And without as well ? I’m wondering how long the controllers will last and if I want 3 charging stands with my extra 6 controllers. I do want them ready at all times though and prefer to keep my woodgrain ones in my FE at all times 😎

Although not sexy, it is one of the coolest vehicles I remember as a kid too - way more than the movie itself. It is actually 2 sections & the middle part flexes to go around corners and I thought those wheels which can rotate to climb over rocks was such a good idea for an all terrain vehicle. Man I love practical vehicle props, mostly gone now but Fury Road brought them back.

EDIT: here is some LandMaster video from the movie - forgot about the 'swimming' feature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZYT2nYd46o

This is a model someone built from the real vehicle in the movie but it shows what the LandMaster was supposed to be:

c7f69d2de2abea1e99a8a113a4388d59.gif

Watched a video about this. LOL

Apparently this was supposed to be 20th Century Fox's BIG movie for 1977. They had a big budget advertising campaign.

Apparently they thought that other space movie of theirs, with those weird character names like Solo and Organa, along with a bad guy in just a black mask would be in and gone from the theaters in 2 weeks, and pretty much be forgotten by Christmas. So they released that one in May to make room in theaters for their real blockbuster of the year... Damnation Alley.

Hey all, the live comment replay from last night just finished processing, so here's the link if you care to watch. *Now with embedding* 😂

I have gotten so much great feedback on this. Thank you to all who tuned in or submitted questions. It was awesome!

Great interview Jeremy!

Question for Tommy, if Anthium does get added to the credits for a Rocky Marciano Boxing game, does that mean I can get added to the credits for Craps? (Wait, that read way better in my head)

Anyway, if so don't forget to add it to the Wonka book 🤞

Yo Starpaddler! (cool name!)

Welcome to AA and the Amico Q&A thread!

Amazing that you've gone through the entire thread from page one.  That must have read like a novel of sorts.  :)

So I guess you realize by now that with your first post (supporting Amico) you have officially become a dumb brainwashed, Kool-Aid drinking Tommy fanboy Amico shill.  So CONGRATS on that!  You'll be receiving your cheap t-shirt and mug in the mail over the next few days as my payoff to you for being my mouthpiece.  Woo-hoo!   Hahahhaha!  ;)

Seriously though... thanks for your post!  It really means a lot.  It's kinda funny how the haters will call folks who appreciate what we're doing a very small minority... they just don't realize that the majority of the world feels just like us and the direction the industry has decided to take.  Only the success of Amico will eventually change their minds... although most of the elitists will never change their tune.  They are too invested in hating the system and quite frankly... just not mature enough to admit they may have been wrong.

I liked your #2 comment about mobile.  I agree that even if a game is a 1:1 conversion... but can be played in a simple manner with others and with no ads, microtransactions, etc... that in itself would be a huge win.  :)   There is a lot of really great stuff on mobile that no one have ever seen or heard of.  The Evel Knievel game is just one example (although our version will be a lot better).  You would think that people would applaud the fact that we are willing as a company to help fund independent developers... but instead, they get more joy from trying to tear us down in hopes to see us fail.  Shame on them.

I LOVE your idea of a crap games!  I actually never thought of that.  Any "gambling" type of game is considered TEEN rated... but there are ways around that.  I think it's a cool idea... especially for a group co-op setting!  I've added it to my future "to do" list.  Thanks!

Hope to see you around these parts more!  Thanks for stopping by!

You can tell by the chimp’s body language in the YouTube picture that he was not thrilled with how he was being treated and left out of the “crew” mention... just standing there, arms down with no emotion or excitement. His spirit was already crushed.

He had that look like he was going to have a fight on his hands similar to the incident from Gilligan’s Island where the actors for The Professor and Mary Ann had to fight to get their characters mentioned in the theme song intro. And he knew that would cause a rift between him and his fellow actors.

Face it... the way he was being treated, the chimp knew from the start he would never be... (wait for it)... top banana.

Tommy,

How many physical games are expected at launch?  Also, will there be volume collections for Amico?  Such as, an Atari collection & Imagic collection?  It would be cool to have like a few games in a set all for one price.  I remember you saying something in an interview once about there being compilations.

Compilations would be for the original Mattel and INTV games, possibly Imagic, but not the remakes.  There hasn't been any mention of emulating the original Atari games on Amico or if their license would allow it.

Hi everyone, Hi Tommy.

It's been a certain time since I promise my son that I will show him one day the General Lee car.  For jumps, but because one day he entered my car

by the window instead of the door. That's when I told him " You know, when I was young ( I am saying that a lot ...   lol  ) I was watching a tv show

where they never used doors ... " etc.

So today, I decide to show him. I found on youtube a video with all the jumps ...

And while we were watching, I was wondering if it would be cool to have a game with the General Lee !

Maybe it could be hard to find enough content to make a complete game, so maybe a car we could win in AutoRacing... SideSwipers... ?

THEN I THOUGHT ...  Hmm... That could be the car we will use in Bump 'N' Jump !?? 😃

So Tommy, do you think it would be hard to have rights for the General Lee and make it the star in Bump 'N' Jump ?  (Wonka notebook, where are you ...  lol )

Thank you.
